Chapter 8.2: Two Women's Decision
“Sister Mo, that's my aunt! She might not be able to tell that I have already formed a heaven's destiny Dao companion, but if I bring that b.a.s.t.a.r.d back, how will I explain it to Aunt? ”
“No need to explain. Just tell her the truth.”
“What!? Sister Mo, do you want me to die? ”
“Ling'er, do you think that we can hide this from her? Your master and your parents both have great cultivation. Their eyes are like torches. Which one of them is unable to see that your virginity is still there? Which one of them can't see the changes that have occurred since you formed your destiny? Your gatekeeper sand has already disappeared and a Destiny's Mark has appeared. How can you hide it from them?”
Shangguan Ling knew that what Yun Mo said was the truth, but she still could not accept it. She shook her head and said, “Being able to keep it a secret for a while is a good thing. I don't want to tell my aunt.”
“Silly girl! Your aunt has experienced more than us, so she will definitely take more care of things than us. Furthermore, she loves you so much. If by any chance your master and family, as well as mine, start to suspect something, your aunt can even help us deal with it. ”
“But… But …” Shangguan Ling grabbed her hair and shook her head vigorously, shouting out loud, “Aunt will teach me to die then. Sister Mo, come with me. I'll have the courage tell aunt then.”
“Alright! I'll go with you! ”
Within the dark stone room, Tang Qing was leaning against the wall as he sat in a corner. His head was casually crooked, his left leg was bent, and his right leg was stretched out. His expression was especially gloomy, his brows were deeply furrowed, and just now, he had attempted to sense the curse of Yin and Yang.
“Hehehe …”
He shook his head and muttered to himself, “Ever since I embarked on the path of becoming a Rogue Immortal, I have been ravaged by the heavenly tribulation. Now, there is an additional curse of the Yin and Yang, and since it has come to this, I don't need you to do anything.”
To Tang Qing, things have already come to this, and he doesn't have the power to change it. Since it's like this, he might as well not change it. The reason he was able to live up to now was not because of cultivation nor luck, but because of an unrestrained mindset. He could afford to live like that—afford live like a poor man, to live like a rich man, and live like a happy man, or else he would have died from depression after experiencing nine heavenly tribulations.
Seemingly sensing the sound of footsteps, Tang Qing didn't even open his eyes as he said, “What else do you two want?”
“What do you mean what more do we want?!”
When Shangguan Ling saw Tang Qing, she couldn't help but get angry, especially when this guy looked like he lost his soul and was helpless. This made Shangguan Ling want to run over and give him a beating.
Pointing at Tang Qing, she scolded him angrily. “You d.a.m.ned rascal, you took advantage of me and Sister Mo and now you're still showing like you did nothing wrong as if we did something to you! You're shameless!”
“Isn't it right, though? If you'd have listened to my advice, things would not have turned out this way.
No matter if it was Shangguan Ling or Yun Mo, they had no choice but to admit that Tang Qing was speaking the truth.
But why did it sound so wrong?
“Tang… Young Master Tang.” Yun Mo took a deep breath, and her gentle eyes regained their calmness as she whispered, “The reason why the matter developed like this is because of us.
A Dao Companion of destiny… since this was fate, as witnessed by the Heavens, how could it be so easily resolved? If it could be undone, would it still be called destiny?
Tang Qing shook his head. If fate could undo it, then he wouldn't need to be so vexed.
“Now, can we solve this problem together?”
He had to admit that Yun Mo's voice contained a gentleness that made him unable to refuse. It was just that Tang Qing had no mood to care about this right now.
He stood up and said listlessly, “Do as you wish.”
