Fang Yuan wholeheartedly blocked his ears and refused to listen.
He was absorbing the natural Primeval Essence from the Primeval Stone on one side and observing his vain aperture on another side.
Initially, the sea surface of the Primeval Essence in the vain aperture was downcast. However, having followed the natural Primeval Essence that was being poured in non-stop, it had started to gradually rise again.
The picking up pace was quite slow, but Fang Yuan wasn't feeling anxious.
Once one's cultivation was acc.u.mulating, one couldn't be in a hurry.
The one who was truly anxious was the middle-aged servant outside the room.
About half an hour later, Fang Yuan's Bronze Primeval Sea had once again reached its forty-four percent limited capacity.
Nevertheless, it was not done yet.
The emerald hue that the Primeval Sea was showing off was the Bronze Primeval Essence of a Beginner level one.
The Primeval Essence Fang Yuan had used to replenish his vain aperture's walls was not this Beginner Primeval Essence. It was the Intermediate Primeval Essence that appeared after refining the Wine Gu.
"Wine Gu." As Fang Yuan's intent shook, the Wine Gu immediately soared up from the Primeval Sea. It was hanging in mid-air, curling up into a white wonton.
Swoosh.
He urged ten percent of his Primeval Essence to intrude the Wine Gu's body. Quickly after, it had been absorbed without leaving behind a single drop.
Afterward, a pure mist carrying the scent of wine was emitted from the Wine Gu's body, gathering into a cl.u.s.ter.
Fang Yuan urged another ten percent of the Primeval Essence to enter this wine mist.
After the wine mist had consumed it, the initial ten percent of Beginner Primeval Essence had been reduced in volume. At the same time, the color was also changed from that of an emerald to a dark green hue.
This was the Intermediate Primeval Essence.
"A normal disciple who wants to enhance their cultivation base has to use the Beginner level one Primeval Essence. But I had just used the Intermediate Primeval Essence, and the efficiency has already been doubled at the very least. At the same time, using the Intermediate Primeval Essence to urge the Moonlight Gu to release the Moon Blade will make it even more formidable than using only the Beginner Primeval Essence."
Only until his entire Primeval Sea had been extracted and refined into the Intermediate Primeval Essence did Fang Yuan open his eyes.
Cultivation with no regards to time; right now, it was already dawn.
The sky wasn't pitch black anymore, but instead, it was a shade of a dull dark blue hue.
The rays of the moonlight had almost disappeared, leaving behind only a few dim stars.
The entrance had been wide opened for the whole night. The under part of the wooden doors had been soaked, displaying the color of black mildew, due to being saturated with water.
That was the bad thing about the schoolhouse's dorm. It was not as comfortable as those hanging bamboo houses but was directly situated on the ground. That was why the humidity was quite severe.
Picking himself up, Fang Yuan then felt a cool air that was covering his own body. Due to sitting cross-legged for too long, his two legs were all numb.
As he opened his right fist, ash gray stone powder, started to spill immediately.
This was the remaining powder after the natural Primeval Essence inside the Primeval Stone had been completely absorbed.
"Cultivating for a whole night, I have used up three Primeval Stones." Fang Yuan silently calculated inside.
He was only a grade C apt.i.tude, but because of chasing after the cultivation's speed, he always took advantage of the Primeval Stones to replenish his Primeval Sea. Afterward, the most critical point was that he had used the Wine Gu to refine his into the Intermediate Primeval Essence.
The consumption of the Primeval Stones would then have a big increase in acceleration.
"Although I had s.n.a.t.c.hed several away yesterday, I used up three Primeval Stones in just one night. If this continues, even if the Primeval Stones look many, it still wouldn't be able to bear the continuous consumption for cultivating... However, it's natural to pay a big price when one wants to chase after the speed and efficiency in cultivation."
Fang Yuan looked out the window again.
He saw that the st.u.r.dy servant Gao Wan was crouching in the corner, curling up his entire body, looked like he was sleeping.
"It seems that a level two female Gu Master has soon left. She had left Gao Wan behind to keep an eye on me. Haha." Fang Yuan beamed a cold smile at the corner of his mouth. He got off his bed and started to secretly practice the fisticuffs.
As his body was heating up, he went out of the room.
"You! This brat has finally come out. How is it? Obediently give up and follow me. You must kowtow to my Mistress to express your apology." As Gao Yuan's ears moved, he picked up Fang Yuan's footsteps, then immediately stood up.
With his robust figure, his head was almost double the size of Fang Yuan's.
Energy was surging in his body. Under his brows was a pair of small eyes which were flickering with b.l.o.o.d.y and malicious light. He looked like a starved hyena right now.
Fang Yuan's visage didn't change as he continued walking forward.
"Rascal, I would have forgiven you if you had went out earlier. But now, do you know how much hards.h.i.+ps I have gone through just keeping an eye on you?" He laughed on one side. On the other side, he stepped up and confronted Fang Yuan. His countenance was harboring evil intentions.
Right then, Fang Yuan abruptly yelled before having jumped up high and throwing two punches straight at Gao Wan.
"You brat have no idea of life or death!" Gao Wan's face was twisted. The anger was br.i.m.m.i.n.g inside of him as he whirled his fists which were the size of a graveled stone, aiming towards Fang Yuan.
The powers of these fists were intimidating. It broke through the air, bringing along the rustle sounds from the wind.
Fang Yuan's eyes were as cold as water. Seeing the fists coming to him, he directed his feet and dashed towards Gao Wan in a split second.
He stretched out his fingers and pierced it into Gao Wan's waist.
Gao Wan used his arms to block it. Thus Fang Yuan' strike didn't accurately hit his waist, but his left forearm instead.
Fang Yuan knew his finger had hit an iron platter as his finger was struck with pain and was now numb.
"This Gao Wan is already a mortal who is at the peak of the martial art skills. I only have the Moonlight Gu to fight now. Without the aid of other Gus, I am no match for him when it comes to fisticuffs!" Light lit up in Fang Yuan's eyes. He immediately gave up on attacking. Instead, he stepped back several steps, maintaining the distance.
In the Ancient Moon Mountain Stronghold, only the members of the Ancient Moon clan were qualified to become a Gu Master.
To the rest, no matter whether they had or didn't have an apt.i.tude for cultivating, they were not qualified to be abe to partic.i.p.ate in the Sacrificial Ceremony.
However, this mortal could cultivate fisticuffs.
It seemed the Gao Wan in front of him was not a Gu Master, but he had definitely cultivated with hards.h.i.+ps on fisticuffs. His basic knowledge was relatively solid. Moreover, he was a middle-aged man, being at the phase of life when one would be the most youthful and powerful.
Except for using the Moonlight Gu to fight, Fang Yuan only had a figure of a fifteen year old young man. No matter if it was power, speed, or tolerance, he was not Gao Wan's opponent.
A martial master like Gao Wan was enough to kill a Beginner level one Gu Master. Even if it was a level two Gu Master, he could still hold some threats.
"You! Brat is too cunning!" Looking at the distance between himself and Fang Yuan, Gao Wan could still feel the sense of fright lingering in his heart.
The waist was the vital part of a human. One it had been punctured with force, the pain that ensued, wouldn't be small. With an overwhelming force, it could have even created fatal incidents.
Gao Wan had stayed outside for half the night. The cold and moist air had covered his entire body and slowed his reflex. Fang Yuan was only a line away from succeeding the strike from before. Luckily, although he had always flattered people, he was also constantly training. At the critical time, the instinct of the body overrode the reaction of the mind, so it was incredibly thrilling for him to block Fang Yuan' strike.
"I can't underestimate him anymore. This brat is a wolf cub. His action is cruel yet cunning. If I'm not careful, I can get hit. No wonder young master was knocked out by him twice." Gao Wan wiped away the cold sweat on his head. Sweeping away the disdain from before, he now only had respect towards Fang Yuan.
"Catch this brat; I will accomplish a great merit. When that happens, Mistress would definitely reward me!" A Beginner level one Moon Blade can only be considered as a knife. As long as it doesn't hit my vital parts, at most, it can only shed blood or cut skin."
Gao Wan's blood was boiling after thinking like that. Stretching out his hands which were like iron, he aimed to catch Fang Yuan.
Bang, Bang, Bang.
Fang Yuan was fearless. Facing Gao Wan, he was fighting with him at a close distance. During the time they were using their fisticuffs technique, they constantly switched from attacking to defending, reverberating ringing sound non-stop.
When he had extorted the disciples, he only used his palms, using the subduing technique as the priority method to control the situation. However, he didn't hold back when fighting with Gao Wan now.
There was a time when he would use his finger in an attempt to gouge out his eyes or pierce through his throat. Sometimes he would use the edge of his palm to hack down on Gao Wan's hindbrain or use his knee to hit his crotch. Sometimes, with his elbow, he would poke Gao Wan's waist.
Gao Wan was fighting until his cold sweat was pouring.
One strike after another, Fang Yuan didn't give up on Gao Wan's vital parts. His method was cruel yet pungent. He really wanted to push Gao Wan to the brink of death.
Gao Wan was just a mortal. Unlike a Gu Master, although he had diligently trained his fisticuffs, his vital parts were still vital. Mortals couldn't tie their eyelids with steel. These were the limits of the martial art training for the mortals.
On the contrary, Gao Wan didn't dare to use any fatal strikes on Fang Yuan.
Fang Yuan was a member of the Ancient Moon Clan. If he had killed Fang Yuan, he would have enraged many people. He would certainly have his limbs torn apart from five horses. When that happened, the Mo family would have to face their first cleaning up rite of one of their members.
Hence, he thought about catching Fang Yuan. It would be best if he could make him taste a bit of pain during the process.
One side was holding back scrupulously while the other stored a killing intent. With such a situation, of course, Fang Yuan was loading his fight on Gao Wan!
