After hanging up the phone, the person in charge of personnel at the bureau thought about the situation and felt that it was starting to becoming ridiculous.

He returned Wei Qing’s call and laughed as he told him what happened. “Wei Shao, the underlings would have taken care of it even if we did not interfere. Who is this s.h.i.+ Lei? Zhenping Real Estate’s Old Hu is one of the few magnates in our city. His son actually helped s.h.i.+ Lei by taking the blame! Hah, you have got to introduce me to this extraordinary man someday.”

Wei Qing was also slightly surprised. But when he thought about it, although he was helping from his end, s.h.i.+ Lei also had connections with Wei Xingyue and Yu Banzhi. Even Song Miaomiao, who was far away in Xi Xi, might have made a move.

“It seems like s.h.i.+ Lei is quite popular! My help may have been unneeded.” Wei Qing laughed at himself and hung up, telling the bureau’s executive that they would talk again sometime that night. Wei Qing left the hotel and went straight to Binjiang Police Station, since he wanted to see how this all ended.

Just when Wei Qing thought that things were going to end, he saw a familiar-looking car heading toward the station.

That car seemed like it was rampaging down the road and didn’t pay attention to Wei Qing at all, barely sc.r.a.ping him as it pa.s.sed by and das.h.i.+ng into Binjiang Police Station’s compound first.

It was a Hummer H3. With its size being twice that of a normal car, it charged toward the station. Its enormous dimensions blocked the entrance to the building.

“She really came?!” Wei Qing parked his car at the gate and remained seated, waiting to watch the show unfold.

The door of the Hummer opened and out came a woman with a buzz cut, wearing a long dress. The driver also jumped out of the car. He was a brawny man about one hundred and ninety centimeters tall. He looked like a dark tower, with his body of bulging tendons and muscles.

“Anyone there? Whoever is still alive, come out now!”

The person who had just arrived could only be Song Miaomiao. She was being rather domineering, jumping out of the big Hummer and ignoring all the insignificant cops who had ran out in a hurry.

The noise outside was too loud, leaving the policemen dumbfounded. Naturally, those inside could hear what was going on. Song Miaomiao wasted no time and charged into the building.

With a brawny man who looked like a dark tower to clear the path, the police were unable to stop her. Of course, they tried their best, but one push on the left from the dark tower left two men stumbling out of the way. Another push on the right made two more almost fall down the stairs.

“What do you think you are doing?” one of them yelled. “This is a a police station! You can’t just…” Unfortunately, he was shoved aside by the dark tower before he could even finish his sentence.

Song Miaomiao entered the building, randomly grabbed a police officer who didn’t know what was going on, and asked, “Where’s your chief?”

The police blankly pointed at the stairs and answered, “In the meeting room on the second floor…” He then suddenly realized something wasn’t right and immediately shouted, “Who are you people? Do you have a death wish, barging into the police station like this?”

Song Miaomiao paid him no mind and threw him to one side before heading straight for the stairs.

When they reached the top and a few officers had arrived at the bottom of the stairs with taser batons in hand, the dark tower moved to clear the way for her. “Miss, you go up first. I’ll hold these numbskulls back.” Then his giant yet exceptionally agile body swiftly descended the stairs. One of the officers raised his baton and charged toward the dark tower. He was very tall and his long limbs enabled him to grab the officer by the elbow without even having to fully extend his arm. All it took was a small pinch from him to make the man lose his grip on the baton and wail in pain.

The dark tower then picked up that unfortunate person and hurled him at his colleagues. They quickly pulled back to avoid injuring him and as a result, were all knocked down like a bunch of bowling pins.

The dark tower glanced at them in disdain before turning around and das.h.i.+ng up the stairs.

When Song Miaomiao found the meeting room, she lifted her leg and kicked the door open.

Everyone was stunned.

s.h.i.+ Lei sweat dropped(1). Gu Nai Nai(2), why are you here? Oh, you still have that buzz cut. Of course, how would he know that hair had to be a little longer than that before extensions could be added?

“s.h.i.+tou, are you okay? Are these the guys who bothered you? Everything’s okay now. Jie Jie is here.” Song Miaomiao walked toward s.h.i.+ Lei. She reached out to hug him but stopped when she saw Zhang Meimei turn around. Although Song Miaomiao had pretended to be a lesbian before, it had become a habit, so she couldn’t control herself when she saw such a beauty. She turned to Zhang Meimei and beamed. “What’s this beauty’s name? Wow, your complexion is really good!”

Everyone was dumbfounded once again. What the h.e.l.l is this?

s.h.i.+ Lei was speechless. He wished that there was a hole in the ground to hide himself in. Zhang Meimei was embarra.s.sed as well. She had never met any woman like Song Miaomiao before, regardless of how experienced she was.

“Song Miaomiao! Are you crazy? Why are you putting on an act for no reason again!? Didn’t I make you straight?!”

Song Miaomiao stopped for a moment before she burst out laughing, tapping her head. “Oh hey, I really did forget. It’s been a habit for years. I just have to tease beautiful ladies when I see them. Ah, don’t worry baby, I’m actually straight. It’s just that I’ve been a bit excessive with keeping up this charade these past few years.”

Zhang Meimei sighed in relief while Hu Xiaohua and the rest could only look on stupidly.

They were all from the Jiangnan area. As second and third-tier fuerdais, they were very familiar with the might of the Shui Ye, Song Miaomiao. It was possible they hadn’t heard of Wei Qing, or even Wei Xingyue. However, Song Miaomiao was a model example of the wealthy within the circle. A great young lady who had made the name “playboy” out of herself. It was something that just could not be kept hidden.

And s.h.i.+ Lei had shouted out the name “Song Miaomiao,” so it was definitely her.

They all exchanged looks, wondering just who had invited this calamity over. In addition, s.h.i.+ Lei was not polite to her at all. Who in Jiangnan dared to talk to Shui Ye with such an att.i.tude?

Hu Xiaohua was especially confused, feeling as if everything he had thought of as true were actually lies. s.h.i.+ Lei was berating the notorious Shui Ye, and yet she was not angry and even admitted that s.h.i.+ Lei had made her straight. This made everyone’s imagination go wild. What kind of abilities did s.h.i.+ Lei have to make this devil incarnate straight?

The thing is, if you can make even Shui Ye straight, why do you need to look for my dad for help? Even Run Zhou’s mayor would have to come running with a call from Shui Ye. s.h.i.+ Lei—G.o.d s.h.i.+—can you not joke around with us next time?

Poor Hu Xiaohua. He could count as quite a considerable fuerdai in Run Zhou. But in front of Song Miaomiao, he could only call himself small.

“What are you doing here?” s.h.i.+ Lei sounded unhappy.

Song Miaomiao grinned as she walked toward him, brus.h.i.+ng a hand across his face and laughing. “I heard your folks were in trouble, so Xiao Shui Shui(3) rushed over to solve your problem.”

d.a.m.n! Who are you trying to disgust with this “Xiao Shui Shui” of yours!? s.h.i.+ Lei felt like he was about to faint.

Sweat drop: commonly used in anime and manga to signify a character reacting to something stupid that had just happened or been said.

Gu Nai Nai: a way to address a single lady as either a form of rebuke or affection.
