Jasper was absolutely confused. He had no idea what was going on – a new transport route?

Was that possible?

Everybody knew the difficulty of trade routes, especially routes that traversed planets. Without the Milky Way Alliance’s permit, it was impossible. Besides, Maklou was an old player in the mining industry and a free trade harbor. Why would they be willing to cooperate with t.i.ta Star?

Jasper aside, even Laurel had her doubts. None of them had received any news. Could Yan Xiaosu be telling a huge lie just to save his face?

There was no way out of this now.

“Everyone, calm down. This is all a sham. It’s impossible. This KO Group’s previous reincarnation sold sanitary napkins. They’re all swindlers. How could something as major as a transport route proceed without a whisper? The Alliance doesn’t just approve anything easily either!” Pila hollered. His calm logic started to rouse the crowd. “It must be fake. I know that Yan Xiaosu, he likes to prank people. He must have run because he was scared of us!”

Yan Xiaosu had already disappeared without a trace. Clearly, Pila had been very persuasive.

Everyone quickly cooled their fervor. That was true. A trade route, especially a free-trade mining route, could not be opened so easily.

Mance looked at Gabre and frowned because he looked equally uninformed.

This program was huge. If it were true, then the slightest wind of it would see investors swarm all over it. Money was not a problem – could such good things really fall from the sky?

If these conditions were real, why did they have to work so hard?

“You see, even the personnel themselves are astonished. We of Clark Republic don’t welcome swindlers. Men, security, run them out of here!” Pila said vindictively.

Those present felt like something was off. Even if this was a scam, you would normally wait for an explanation. This seemed overboard. Besides, who was this guy even? He was of Clark, but the rest were not. He had taken this too far.

Aegentos moved forward. Everyone looked at the guy who represented the largest financial group in Aslan.

Suddenly, Aegentos’ face broke out in the most beatific of smiles. “Jasper, I had long heard that Lya Sphinx had a worthy person of the same age. I confess I was unconvinced at first, but the real thing does indeed bear out the rumors. I, Aegentos of the Galaxy Magic Group, am very interested in this program.”

A huge dramatic turnaround. Everyone was taken aback. They had just been at loggerheads. This…

Aegentos had been the first to confirm the news. Galaxy Magic Group’s power was indeed formidable. For someone of his age to lead the galaxy’s foremost financial group, he must have the ability to back it up.

Only then did it begin to dawn on the rest. D*mn, if he wouldn’t confirm it, couldn’t they do so themselves?!

Laurel’s information had just arrived, just a shade slower. “The Alliance has pa.s.sed this proposal not long ago. A special allowance for t.i.tat.i.tan and Maklou to establish a common route, in order for t.i.ta Star to recover as soon as possible from its war.”

Laurel’s words were on point. They not only conveyed to everyone that the route had been approved, but her last phrase was monumental – indicating that the Alliance was favoring t.i.ta Star, in order to amend the unsavory image of the war. This meant that t.i.ta Star would continue to be favored in future policies.

Jasper smiled slightly. “Galaxy Magic, an honor. We select partners on the basis of sincerity. We will not ruin a good pot of soup with rotten meat. For example, those like Lapi.”

Aegentos smiled even more widely. “I have no idea of whom you speak of. We of Galaxy Magic Group do business on the basis of quality of character first as well. I also suggest that everybody avoids those like that of the Lonk Group, which conducts not business, but hara.s.sment.”

Aegentos was a clever man. He had to make the gesture; otherwise, this matter would not concern him at all. As for Pila, that was trash he did not mind insulting. Treading on toes was part of business anyway.

Pila’s previous lies, as well as his arrogant and despotic att.i.tude, were cla.s.sic of a petty soul. Any group he represented must be bad news as well.

Everyone automatically kept their distance from Pila. As for the KO t.i.ta Business Organization, the real show was about to begin.

The earliest contacts, Mance and Torres, definitely had the advantage, although they had not antic.i.p.ated such a reward.

This was unimaginable. How could such a large contract fall into the hands of such a small company? Had t.i.ta Star agreed? Had Maklou?

As for Pila, he had turned to stone. This matter was clearly not so simple. Benefits aside, the entire process had shown him for who he really was. “I say, can the two of you calm yourselves? Drink some water. Look at Laurel, that’s style.” Yan Xiaosu laughed.
