Not too far away, an extremely ordinary looking carriage was hidden in an alleyway.

 

The carriage wasn’t visible from the Ruan residence, but the occupant of the carriage could see what was happening clearly.

 

The moment Ruan Zhen kneeled, a thin and white hand lifted up the carriage curtain and watched, expressionlessly.

 

She watched Ruan Zhen’s back as the smile in her mouth grew bigger and bigger.

 

But her eyes, were just as harsh and cold.

 

“Eldest miss.” Tang Er appeared in front of the carriage before following Lou Qingwu’s line of sight.

 

He lowered his voice, “Do we leave now? It seems like the second madam’s going to have to kneel for a while before the Ruan family head’s willing to see her.”

 

Lou Qingwu looked at his dark eyes, “It won’t be longer than fifteen minutes.”

 

“How could that be?” Last night, eldest miss had used the “Soaring amongst the heavens” painting to scheme against the Ruan family.

 

One hundred thousand gold ingots wasn’t a paltry sum and he had heard that the Ruan family head at the time, had been so angry that he fainted.

The housekeeper quickly left and very soon later, he came back again.

 

But this time, he respectfully invited her into the Ruan residence.

 

Tang Er watched this scene and found it incredibly strange, “Eldest miss, what just happened?”

 

Could it be that the family head wasn’t angry any more? After all, it was a hundred thousand gold ingots, that was definitely a sum that could shake even a one-hundred year old family.

 

Lou Qingwu calmly moved her eyes away, “Ruan Zhen seems to have her own bargaining power.”
