Chapter 5982: I’m In A Good Mood
Radiant Longevity School was one of the eight members of the ancient alliance, once serving as the leader.
It remained strong for a long period before fully declining despite its descendants’ commendable efforts. It consisted of two dao systems but since too much time had pa.s.sed, few were aware of this history.
When talking about its prime, one had to bring up Radiant Longevity Monarch - an ancient cultivator with a matchless skill for alchemy.
Two things were always noted. First, he might have been the one who combined the two systems and second, he excavated a living mecha from the ruins.
The second initiated the permanent decline of the sect due to the mecha’s intention of draining the world.
This process resulted in the death of emperors and progenitors. They attempted to kill Silver Dragon Mecha to no avail. It took Desolate Ancestor coming out of her reclusive cultivator with her saber to kill it. She also killed Radiant Longevity Monarch and put an end to the sect’s prime.
Today, it appeared they were having a hard time, going as far as borrowing resources from various sects.
As they reached the base of the sect, Li Qiye looked up and shook his head: “Such a pitiful state.”
“Success and decline due to a single cultivator. If it wasn’t for Radiant Longevity Monarch, perhaps they would be in a better state.” Incense Daoist commented.

As they ascended, they found the sect surrounded by muscular men wearing tiger leather, seemingly coming from the wilderness.
“Cloudcrossing Mountain.” The old demon frowned after seeing them.
“Why are these barbarians here?” The daoist shared the sentiment.
This was another member of the ancient alliance but they weren’t well-liked despite being third in strength, only behind Insane Gate and Eight-treasure Mountain.
They used to be a dao system as well but after the death of their progenitor, they ran to the mountains to survive, changing their sect’s name.
Their leader was here - a rustic and fierce-looking old man. He and his men surrounded Radiant Master and her sect members, the majority being women.
“Cloudcrossing Mountain Lord, you are crossing the line.” Radiant Master looked displeased.
“We’re not the unreasonable ones here. According to our lending contract, you must buy ingredients from us yet you bought some from Splendor City.” The mountain lord said.
“We have repaid the debt already, not to mention you do not currently have what we need. It is a rather urgent matter for us.” She said.
“Our ingredients come from nature so they are of the highest grade, this takes time.” The mountain lord raised his voice.
“The contract was no longer in effect when we paid off the debt!” One disciple from Radiant Longevity School barked back.
“I don’t care, you were in the wrong so we demand reparation, half of the original payment or this won’t end.” The mountain lord said.
“We will also take half of your territory as payment.” One disciple shouted.
Radiant Master and her sect members became furious at this blatant attempt to seize their territory.
“I hope you will refrain from making another mistake. We do not wish to use force.” The mountain lord sneered.
In terms of power, Radiant Longevity School stood no chance against Cloudcrossing Mountain.
“Bandits cultivate nowadays too.” Li Qiye and the duo arrived.
“Who are you?!” The mountain lord recognized the duo but not the mortal.
“Young n.o.ble!” Radiant Master came over with her sect members and knelt: “We apologize for the lack of reception.”
She had utmost grat.i.tude since he gave them an ancient dragon crystal. This solved all of their problems.
“It’s no big deal.” Li Qiye helped her up and told the trespa.s.sers: “Leave, I will not pursue this matter.”
“Mortal, you must be suicidal!” The mountain lord shouted.
“Bam!” Li Qiye stomped him, breaking his bones and causing him to scream.
“How dare you!” His members roared and rushed forward.

“I am in a good mood today so you can go.” Li Qiye kicked him away.
“Th-this isn’t over.” The bloodied mountain lord got up and despite his pitiful state, he still left behind some strong words before running away with his men.
“Young n.o.ble, welcome to our humble abode.” Radiant Master regained her wits, having been saved by Li Qiye again.
She invited the trio into the sect and ordered the grandest ceremony to show respect.
