Her face flushed, as her pupils started to dilate, and she looked down quietly at Zhang Xiao Qiang with a complicated look.

She didn’t know if her choice was right, to abandon her natural a.s.sets as a woman, and instead, choosing to fight with weapons and to face her fear. She was fearful, afraid of the future, and blamed Zhang Xiao Qiang slightly. Did he not know that women were to be treated like flowers, and had to be taken care of by men? He was now beyond embarra.s.sed. His skin wasn’t so thick. It was all okay at first. He had leaned lightly on her shoulder and didn’t dare to exert too much force. The majority of his weight was still supported by himself. He just wanted to take a slight advantage of her, after all, it was a habit of most men. He felt that it was extremely familiar, as though it was a memory hidden deep within the recess of his mind. It was like he had returned to his childhood, where his mother was holding him gently and carefully, as he listened to her heartbeat, and fell into his reminiscence.

When Zhang Xiao Qiang’s head had fallen into her bosom, Shangguan Qiao Yun had been shocked. She felt at a loss, and to her, he had been extremely old-fas.h.i.+oned and stubborn, not easy to get close. He had always maintained this strong image in front of her, and even when she had been naked and stood in front of him, it didn’t change a thing. He was proud and showed his pride when they faced each other. Even when she had been begging him in front of the others earlier, he couldn’t put down the pride and ego in his heart.

She suddenly felt satisfied, it was a strange feeling, but it was comforting.

His body weight became heavier on Shangguan Qiao Yun’s shoulders and she felt her arms becoming numb. She lightly transferred his head towards her legs and started stroking his face.

When Zhang Xiao Qiang felt his face being lifted from her chest, he felt a sense of regret, not because he couldn’t be close to those heavenly peaks, rather, it was the disconnect from that unfamiliar yet comfortable heartbeat. Suddenly, his head was transferred to her legs, and as he laid there and breathed her scent in, before a sense of panic could set in, a small, cool hand reached to stroke his face. He was once again soothed into a comforting peace, his heart felt warm and fuzzy, and the security helped him doze off fast.

He was lying in a boat quietly, and the boat was rocking gently, as the light breeze blew across the lake, causing slight ripples. The ripples turned to waves and started to move the various lotuses on the surface towards him. He could smell their refres.h.i.+ng scent and he opened his eyes with a slight smile to look up at the clear, blue sky. It was extremely beautiful, and he had not looked at the sky like this for a long time. He looked on greedily, hoping that it would be possible to keep the sky in his little pocket.

As the warm sunlight shone on his face, it gave him a warmth, one that he had not felt for a long time. He stretched out lazily on the boat, his entire body extremely comfortable. He watched the sky quietly, soaking in the sun, smelling the flowers, and feeling the light rocking of the boat. There was nothing that was calmer in this world at this moment in time.

Suddenly, a huge gust of wind blew past, and the ripples turned into powerful waves. They rocked the boat, threatening to turn it over, as he tried his best to jump from the boat.

His eyes fluttered open, and he saw the slender jaw line of Shangguan Qiao Yun above him. He felt that the Hummer had come to a stop, and reached out to sit himself up. As he sat up, his hands felt a soft place and out of the corner of his eyes, he saw that it was her thigh, and he didn’t feel too embarra.s.sed. He had even laid on her, so what if he touched her?
