――It's been ten minutes into Subaru's desperate stall for time.

Regulus' kick gouged into the building with horrific beauty, and, with nothing to support its weight, the structure helplessly crumbled.
Dust from the destruction swallowed everything in sight as Regulus vexedly clicked his tongue at his obscured vision―― picking up on this sound, Subaru rushed back to the battleground where all his makes.h.i.+ft traps had been spent.
[Regulus: Instead of scurrying around…… how about you face me and fight like a man? I'm way past caring about your relations.h.i.+p with that wh.o.r.e, but for a guy who calls himself a knight, is this how you fight!?]
[Subaru: Say whatever you want, a.s.shole!]
[Regulus: There!]
Subaru's retort against Regulus' tedious vitriol was immediately met by a lethal shotgun-burst of sand.
The moment the murderous sand-grains made contact, the pile of rubble Subaru had just been hiding in instantly disintegrated.
Even a scratch would be fatal, and one blow meant instant death.
Miraculously, none of Regulus's attacks have reached Subaru so far. But since it'd all be over if just one strike touches him, it'd be a mistake to rely on his luck.

[Regulus: Even if you keep wasting time like this, you think a guy like you can pose any threat to me? Just because you figured out a little clue to the source of the Authority of Greed, don't make the mistake of thinking you have any chance against me!]
Without giving Subaru a moment to breathe, the enraged Regulus expanded the area of his destruction. If it meant killing Subaru, he didn't care what would be caught in the crossfire.
Priestella, known for its scenic beauty, was gradually losing its shape under the Witch Cultist's violence.

Snapping his whip, he wound its tip around the corner of the roof to his side. Trusting in its gripping-force, he kicked into the ground, ran up the wall―― and stuck out his tongue as he pa.s.sed beside Regulus, taunting the wild-eyed murderer.
[Regulus: You impudent whelp! Who do you think you are!!]
Regulus swung his arm, flinging out a jagged rock, but it completely missed Subaru, who escaped with the momentum of his whip-pull.
Don't think about attack, just focus on running.
Everyone who had been killed by Greed so far had been killed by their own bravery. Just stay true to this weak, brittle, cowardly self and keep running. Don't lose to this guy, no matter what.
So cast away all regrets here.
