Chapter 25.1 - As one part of Wanyu Media

The four words “in real life meeting” made Tang Xiao fall into a deep pit of anxiety.

She started to reflect, she really was too free.

In this half year, she’d only received one spokesperson role and two advertis.e.m.e.nts.

She didn’t have any TV dramas or movies, which meant that most of her time was spent playing games.

She spent too much playing games, so the result of that was that it was hard for her to tell the difference between the online world and the real world.

She felt like, if Chief Ning found out about that, she probably wouldn’t be able to even use electricity any more.

Chief Ning let her be lovestruck every day over Mu Cheng’s posters, but he definitely wouldn’t let her muck around and spout nonsense everyday inside a game.

So even though she wasn’t popular, when she went out on the streets, if you gave everyone a minute, they’d still be able to recognise who she was.

But, if you publicised what she did online, she’d probably be very, very famous.

The headlines would change to: A certain actress plays a transgender character, flirts with girls, is she a lesbian or an immoral degenerate?

A certain actress is completely heartless, destroys other people’s equipments.

A certain actress is sweet on screen, but in game, swears non stop.

The more she thought, the more she felt like she was about to die.

Sob, sob, sob, if she wasn’t famous, even her name wouldn’t be able to get out there.

She had to think of her career and her future ahead!

Originally, the hands that wanted to go online, suddenly clicked the “cross” and exited the screen.

She called Xiao Lin.

Xiao Lin seemed extremely busy.

Tang Xiao fell into deep thought.

“Do I have any jobs lined up lately?”

In a second, Xiao Lin was unsure with how to proceed.

Was she supposed to say yes or no?

She considered for a moment about how Tang Xiao was normally the type to be like a dead pig, who wasn’t afraid of hot water because it was already dead.

She didn’t care if she wasn’t popular, after all, she’d just lie down at home and decide not to go to work.

That type of att.i.tude.

She thought for a moment.

“There’s nothing really. Just Spirit Road’s spokesperson. Your clothing’s still being made so the filming date hasn’t been set yet.”

Tang Xiao was speechless. “Xiao Lin, am I really this unpopular?”

Xiao Lin was also speechless. “When have you ever been popular?”

She was right ….

“Xiao Lin ah, I feel like I’ve been holed up at home for a half a year now and it’s extremely bad. Extremely, extremely bad. So I want to start working …”

She hadn’t even finished before she got hung up on.

“Or did you make some sort of trouble?”

Tang Xiao instantly felt guilty. “How could that be? I just felt like that as a member of society, and as one part of Wanyu media, I definitely can’t let myself go like this any more. Chief Ning, are there any jobs? For example, any holiday or tourism programs, that’d be great.”

If she could avoid it, she’d avoid it.

“Don’t even try me. Speak the truth, are you sick of playing games online? Or did you make some sort of trouble online?” Chief Ning spoke coldly.

Tang Xiao froze and thought, you even knew this?

Just as she was about to ask that, she suddenly stopped herself.

This was leading her on!!!

A leading question to make her tell the truth!!!!!

“Every day, I’ve been playing ‘fighting the landlord’ so I actually have been bored. But the biggest reason is, the world is so big! I should take a look around! But I don’t have money to do so. So are there any holiday programs that I can get carried on?” Tang Xiao could only pretend to be obedient.

Chief Ning paused for a moment.

From the phone, she heard papers flipping.

“There’s a survival program called, “Foodies around the world.””

“Okay, okay, okay! This one, then.” Tang Xiao heard the name and instantly felt like it was perfect.

Foodie and around the world?

Doesn’t that mean going around the world for free and getting to eat, eat and eat?

“What time does it start? I can go whenever!”

“Before you go, you have to first do a survival in the wild exercise.”

Why did she feel like something was wrong?

Wasn’t this a gourmet holiday program?!

Fighting the landlord - it’s a super popular card game where three ‘farmers’ fight against a ‘landlord’ and kinda play poker to get rid of the cards in their hands. It’s a pretty easy game to learn and that’s why TX says with Xiao Lin’s intelligence, she can only play these types of games.
