"You're still not in love with me yet the way you screamed earlier while we were in the car was like as if you already won the lottery."

Sapphire rolled her eyes at Johann. After he confessed his love towards her, it was indeed true that she reacted like that. Because inside her heart, she felt an indescribable happiness. Yes, she felt so happy back then.

However, she refrained herself from admitting her feelings to him. She decided to hide it from him for now. It's only for a short period of time. She just wanted to feel… being chased, possessed, loved… She fears the possibility of him getting tired of her after she admitted it.

Just like how her mother's ex-boyfriend had always been to her mom.

Sapphire finished her food. "I thought we're going to let nature takes its course? That we won't have to make it fast? Is it my fault that you fell first?"

He looked at her and then shrugged. "I'm not putting pressure on you, Wife. Just remember, I love you. For the coming days, you figure out to yourself how to handle the cheesiness that I will be bringing over." Johann grinned from ear to ear.

"What haven't you done yet?" she asked with puzzlement.

"Many more. Whenever I love someone, I will surely find thousands of things to do in order to make her feel my affection." He stared straight into her eyes. "I'll definitely find ways to a.s.sure the one I love that she's the only one. With you alone, my heart is already very satisfied. Wife, with you alone, my earthly body is completely alive."

She chuckled. d.a.m.n Johann. So cheesy and sweet. "You love me that much?"

He leaned closer to her. "Loving should be that much. Even if it's a bit too much, at least, it must not be any lesser. In my case, my love can even shame the entirety of the Angat Dam."

"How come?"

"Because my genuine and sincere love is going to bring an overflowing happiness to your heart." After saying that, he pinched his nose. "Wait, d.a.m.nit. Bleeding nose. Am I really the one who said that?"

She was shaking her head but she can't deny the fact that her heart was moved. "So gay of you, Husband. Yeah. That's you." She smiled and stood up.

Sapphire did not stop herself this time. She approached Johann who was now sitting and looking upon her. She lowered her head, cupped his face and kissed him.

"One more," he requested while laughing when the kiss ended.  He caught her waist. And she found herself sitting on his lap and kissing him torridly.

When they lips parted, both of them were out of breath.

"You're still not in love me, huh?" he teased.

She just smiled. She does not feel like saying those three words yet. Not now. But she can make Johann feel it.

"Do you consider making love to me now?" she suddenly brought up.

His eyes grew large. "Ay, my deity." He held her by the waist. "Don't ask me again like that, okay. You're making me lose my wholesomeness. I am a respected professor, you know?"

She made face. "You don't have students today. And you're not in school. You're inside our house. You're my husband. Here, it's okay for you to not look respectable."

That made him laugh. "We won't do that until you love me. I'll only be the one to enjoy it because I'm the only one loving here. When you're finally in love with me, that's when you'll also feel the greatness of every pinch and pull of romance and love!"

Sapphire's laugh was so loud. "Pinch and pull? What the eff? And you call yourself a n.o.ble teacher. That's disgusting!"

"Look, you even called it disgusting. You're still not ready so you better not ask me whether I want to make love with you. Because my never changing answer will always be yes."

She stiffened. "Why before, you said that thought has not yet crossed your mind?"

"I'm not thinking about it when you're not sitting on my lap like this. Argh! Really, women! Temptation! Sin!"

"When we're lying next to each other on the bed, you've also been tempted?"

"No."

She raised an eyebrow at him.

He responded with a playful and teasing smile. "Slight. Blame your beautiful legs. My eyes were sometimes being sinful."

"Why did you say before that you were not tempted?"

"Because we're friends. I don't want you to feel awkward and uncomfortable if ever I told you that your white legs and thighs appeal so much to me. Of course, I must be a good boy."

"Hah! You're not so wholesome after all! You sinned against Him!"

His eyes almost looked closed when he smiled. "The Lord understands. You're my wife; it's not really a sin to desire your legs." He kissed her shoulder.

Sapphire's eyes looked down on her legs. She was only wearing shorts. "You're right. My legs are quite pretty."

When her eyes returned to Johann, she found out he was already closing his eyes. She laughed. "What happened to you?"

"Don't be a temptation. Wife, please cooperate with me. No seduction, please."

She chuckled. "Okay, open your eyes now. For today, you're the one tasked to wash the dishes. Your schedule." She attempted to stand up but he pulled her again.

"I feel lazy to wash plates. Let's be like this for a while, Wife. It feels…"

"What?"

"Comfortable. I like the feeling of having my new world in my embrace." Then he winked at her.

Oh, jeez. Corny lines again. Corny lines that can make her smile. d.a.m.n it.

Is it really like this when in love? Or is it that Johann's the only one like this?

"I love you." Out of the blue, he uttered those words.

She only kissed him once more.

She wanted to reply 'I love you, too' but she's not yet ready.

She's still afraid.
