Falling Star of Evolution Chapter 5 & 6: Two Stars ( Part I & Ii)

Sorry a bit late hehe, Tbh I'm having a Walking Dead Marathon with my gf and I was called over yesterday. Only now getting time to edit and post. Editing was hurried If I miss any errors or anything don't chew me out! Btw I decided on the Soulbeast :) it's original and I think most people will be pleased. It's neither of those mentioned in the poll but rather a mixture of ideas from what I received in the comments as well as my own ideas.


Also about harem....I'm still deciding what to do- the next chapter will most likely decide if I plan on making it a harem or not. Saw a lot of people that didn't like the harem tag lmao.

There's a good surprise coming up this chapter and if I do decide to cancel harem tag obviously this girl is will be the single route girl.


Chapter 5 & 6 -



A few months before the destruction of Earth--

Four people sat in a room conversing and having tea, judging from their clothing they were all scientists. Two males and two females, by the way they intimately sat it was obvious they were two couples. One couple was Arisa and Andrew Steinholm and the other two were their colleagues whom they shared a sense of camaraderie with for many years.

The other male looked to be in his 50's, he had grey-hair and lively eyes and gave off the feel of an eccentric. His wife seemed to be calm and gentle, similar in age with more black hair than grey and seemed to age well and had a slight smile.

[Hey Andrew come on no need being so tight-lipped, it's the end of the world let me see the files!] - Middle aged man

[Hmm old man Peskin, You're not going to stop bothering me until you see it huh] -Andrew

[You got that right! Arisa please I beg of you! Please let me see the files! My beautiful wife Liselle please help me beg!] -Peskin

[Jeez, I'm sorry Andrew and Arisa...this guy-] -Liselle

[Haha, no need to apologize I just wanted to see him grovel a bit more! I had always intended to show him from the very beginning.] -Andrew

[Y-You! How da-] -Peskin

Before the old man could vent his anger and finish speaking a file was already tossed on the table in front of him which completely diverted his attention. Without warning he already pounced at it making everyone in the room laugh heartily which was incredibly hard to, considering the dire circ.u.mstances.

The were only two words on the cover of the files.

"Eternity Pill"

This was none other than the Experimental DNA test drug.

The old man quickly opened the file and begun reading greedily, one could see the excitement in his eyes as he absorbed the information. It was obvious this old man was an eccentric about science, every now and then he would mutter things while reading showing how fervorous his nature was. As he finished reading a file he would pa.s.s it to his wife and she would silently read it, although she was quiet her eyes seem to flash with incredible intelligence and one could see her comprehension ability did not lose to her husband's...in fact it might have been much higher.

[So that's how it is!] -Peskin

[What?! How is this possible?!] -Peskin

[Certainly Certainly! How could I have been so blind I've been looking at it the wrong way!] -Peskin.

Finally after reading the old man came to a conclusion as he looked wide-eyed at Arisa and Andrew as if they were the biggest monsters he had ever seen.

[Just...What in the heavens did you create? Was this pill made from your love of science....or your love of your child?] -Peskin

[The love of our child] -Andrew & Arisa

[Then it makes complete sense as to why you have succeeded] -Liselle

[I predict that even if the animals and plant life mutate after radiation....your son will be the biggest predator among them] -Peskin

[He would be the perfect human....the most beautiful predator ever created with human hands] -Liselle

[That was the goal we had in mind] -Arisa

[With these files and with the resources at my disposal, I'm sure I can make a lesser and superficial version of the drug for Claire, it won't be anyway near as powerful as the kind Arin will get but the important part is that it would be enough to protect her from radiation or any foreign pathogens and that is more than I need!] -Peskin

[Good, how about her survivability? how did you prepare her?] -Andrew

[We did as you suggested and we used black technology! We didn't use it for combat but rather to manipulate her brain to receive all sciences! Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics and Engineering! She would be an information powerhouse! I'm confident she'll be able to dismantle her craft and create a weapon to survive almost immediately after landing! There's even a few weapons on the craft itself.

Besides.... one of the reasons I decided to use Black Technology on her and erase her memories wasn't just for her survival. This girl...she has a lot of friends that were as good as sisters to her and she enjoyed her days at school with them, Social sites on the Vnet was a very common thing for her much like teenagers her age. She's lived with a great amount of human contact all her life, to suddenly go without it might cause incredible mental damage.

She loved her friends and her life, I would rather her forget about us old folks and live a new clean slate rather than live with the burden of remembering the world you knew destroyed. What matters to parents the most are their children's safety no matter the cost] -Peskin

[Well said! That is absolutely correct! You can't be called a man if you can't shoulder the burdens of your family!] -Andrew

[I just hope nothing goes wrong and she is able to meet up with your son, it would be great if they could be together and support one another in the New Earth. Say Andrew...you remember what we talked about last time?] -Peskin

[About setting up a marriage with the two?] -Andrew

[Yeah, should we finalize it? Originally they weren't supposed to meet until they became 18 but I guess we could make a few adjustments considering the circ.u.mstances huh? what do you think Liselle and Arisa?] -Peskin

[I agree, ever since Arin was a kid he wouldn't show much of an expression to a lot of things but she was always an exception ever since they were little he would always try to impress her. It's sad when our work separated us two families, we never let them meet when they had become teenagers and that always haunted me as a mother. Still, Arin would always ask every now and then about her hehe though he tried to play it off casually just as fast as to not make us feel bad, hehe.] -Arisa

[When I asked Claire about marrying Arin in the future, she answered yes without hesitation. She remembered Arin quite clearly to the point which shocked me, that child has always had an exceptionally good memory. She could even recall some of their playdates in entirety. There is no one who is against this marriage. I leave my daughter in your son's care] -Liselle

[Then it's settled] -Andrew

The two families wrote up a few doc.u.ments and used the Vnet services to issue it to the Marriage license board. After a few minutes the paperwork was all done and sent back to the both couples. Machines made things much easier and convenient than humans so naturally processes were a lot faster than compared to a few hundred years ago.

After they received the certificate of marriage via the Vnet, they made software copies and stored them into a heart-shaped external storage device which was called a "Heart Device". A Heart Device was what married couples wore in the 23rd Century as opposed to rings. This Heart device contained all personal info, as well as it possessed many other specific features that gave credit to it's name.

Some of the main features are that the Heart Device could be split in two and be shared by marriage partners. When two partners possess this device they have a range of options. One feature is that they can contact one another within a 10 mile Radius with the device instantly. Another is that they can tell their partners health status at all times when used within a 10 mile Radius and lastly they can pinpoint the location of their partner within a 10 mile radius. If they are out of range, it only shows the direction.

After they uploaded the the marriage doc.u.ments, each family took half of the Heart Device and each recorded their own personal hologram message onto it for their children in the future. Andrew placed it around his neck and Peskin did the same.

[Well then we'll say our goodbyes here Peskin! You should head back to the lab right away and begin creating the drug for your daughter! It takes quite some time to prepare after all and time is of the essence if you need help with the resources just say so we have some remained and could help out if necessary. We're more or less almost finished.] -Andrew

[...Thank you old friend, with this my daughter will be able to survive the harsh new world. I'll send over the blueprints for the craft and you can go over it with the engineers!] -Peskin

[No need to mention it, you would do the same for me] -Andrew

Liselle smiled and looked warmly at the teared up Arisa, it was obvious that they were long time friends.

[Bye Liselle...Wuwu *sob*] -Arisa

The wives shared a hug and parted, the husbands knocked fists and parted ways. This would be the last time these long time friends ever meet.

On the night of the destruction of Earth, A NASA satellite had begun making it's usual trip around the Earth when it picked up something on it's radar!

[ Hey captain was a launch scheduled today?] -Indian Astronaut

[No, not that I know of. Today's the day of the unveiling of the new power reactor, there isn't supposed to be anything flying out today] -j.a.panese Astronaut

[W-wait...you think it could be... the Steinholms?]- American Astronaut

[No way, they wouldn't really...Hey Raj bring it up on screen] -j.a.panese Astronaut

[Yes Captain! Joe send me co-ordinates!] -Raj

A quick moment afterward an image appeared on their screens, A shuttle speeding away from Earth.

[That crest! It's definitely them!] -Joe

[Yeah no doubt about it...that is definitely the symbol for Steinholm's Global Tech] -Captain

[I got another one incoming hot!] -Raj

[What?! Another s.p.a.cecraft? Could it be...people really believe the world is coming to an end?] -Captain

Raj quickly s.h.i.+fted to it an another s.p.a.cecraft was seen, this s.p.a.cecraft looked more advanced than the one from Steinholm's Global Tech no doubt that the people who created it were no joke.

[Huh? That logo...it's the De Fleur's logo!] -Joe

[Yeah, it seems that power couple came to the same conclusion as the Steinholms] -Captain

[Uh...guys...what's that?] -Raj

[What is it?! Another Craft?!] -Joe

[No...that light down on Earth] -Raj

[What?....Oh my G.o.d...] -Joe

[Oh dear Bhudda] -Raj

[So....It seems the Steinholm's were telling the truth...well boys it was nice serving with you] -Captain

[Well since things are going to go to h.e.l.l anyway, Captain mind If I smoke this?] -Raj

Raj retrieved a neatly rolled cigarette from his chest pocket. It was obvious it was no cigarette.

[Why the h.e.l.l not....pa.s.s it here...How exactly are we supposed to look at something like this clear-headed? Good thing good for nothings like us have no families to worry about and our line of work doesn't really leave us with any friends.] -Captain

[Yeah that maybe true Cap, but we always got each other!] -Joe

The Three astronauts had gotten stoned by the time the explosion covered the Earth. With their blood red eyes they stared at the collapsing world and they blacked out before the explosion even hit.

In the world of Magnolia, where beasts rule over humanity in the year of 10,230. When one star was reported by numerous sources to have fallen from the Sky near the fortress city of Mount Earthenvale. Another fell during the day which went unnoticed to most eyes, except for a tribe of women that called themselves "Amazulu" go others they are called the " Forest Queens".

This tribe of women were widely known and were famous for their ruthlessness to trespa.s.sers as well as for their beauty, so even the most low and honor-;ess man would keep his thoughts together and not dare dream of entering that place which could be called a heaven for any man.

Amongst a crater created by the s.p.a.cecaft, many women surrounded the s.p.a.cecraft and after fiddling around with the unknown technology, they finally got it open. To their surprise what they saw inside was a young girl about 16 years old with silver hair, that did not seem like normal hair. It looked like streaks of beautiful moonlight that were painted down the sides of her head.

If someone who knew Sol were to see it, they would definitely recognize this hair as being the same as his, except her hair were like the light of a full moon. Her beauty was enough to cause a city to go war. Delicate warm cheeks that were tinged with red and a pale white complexion that made her seem like a G.o.ddess of the Moon. Her body was decently developed for a 16 year old and one could tell in the future she would become even more marvelous.

The girl looked weak very much like Sol had been, this girl was Claire De Fleur, Fiance of Sol.

An elderly woman who seemed not to be elderly at all, sat on a horse as she looked down at the scene before her. She had grey hair, but her eyes were fierce red and clearly stated that she was not to be looked down upon. This woman was the Head Huntress of the Forest Queens.

[Mileena, check her for any concussions quickly!] -???

[Yes Head Huntress!] -Mileena

A woman who's face was concealed quickly opened the girls eyes and saw a silver-colored pair of eyes which shocked her for a bit but then she quickly ignored it and searched for any signs of damage. Upon seeing nothing she released a sigh and quickly reported.

[Head Huntress she is fine!] -Mileena

[Great, get the horses. You air mages and earth mages hurry and let's get this strange movement artifact back to base quickly!] -Head Huntress

[Yes Head Huntress!] -Mages

[Silver hair and silver eyes huh...little girl..just where in the G.o.ds did you come from?] -Head Huntress

Suddenly a hologram begun to play which showed a man and woman which startled the group of women. They had never seen such images before and they could sense no magic power from the device so many of them wondered how it worked. The hologram of the silhouettes begun to play.

[*** My darling you may not remember **, but I am **** mother. My name is Liselle] -Liselle

[h.e.l.lo ****! I am your father! My **** is Peskin and we have some terrible **** to share with you, I don't know just how clear **** message will be after time *** pa.s.sed so listen up carefully] -Peskin

The Head Huntress listened intently but could barely make out anything, she even saw the playback of the destruction of the world and inhaled a breathe of cold air.

[So this is where you came from too bad I couldn't find out your name, how unfortunate young girl. At least your parents did the right thing by sending you here and removing your memories, remembering a destroyed world is too much for a single person to bear. We will take care of you like our daughters and our sisters. ] -Head Huntress

All of a sudden weird clicking noises came from the chamber where they fished out the young girl. One of it's control panels shot out a bright red light toward the necklace around Claire's neck, and as if trained to activate at this time lit up brightly!

A new hologram message begun to play this one was much much clearer.

[Finally the last thing I'm about to tell you my daughter. There is someone else you need to make sure and find, this necklace around your neck is the key and will explain more. We're out of time now, I have to go I love you my baby. *Sob*] -Liselle

[I love you too my sweet daughter! Find the person in your necklace! He will be your only family remaining. He also does not possess his memories, the only way to find one another is with the necklace, He shouldn't be too far away from wherever you are the pods were designed that way] -Peskin

The messaged stopped for a moment...and then it gently powered down.

Claire's s.p.a.cecraft was much more advanced than Sol's and luckily after the crash it only sustained superficial damage. It's mechanical issues were very minor but the software had been damaged badly and made the first video barely understandable. However the most vital information was relayed. Another one of her family was present here on this planet.

Everyone present all stood quietly and watched this scene and they were quiet for quite some time. The Head Huntress couldn't bear the silence anymore and quickly ordered them to move it to the base as well. Mileena, the woman who's face was concealed carried the young girl with them and they faded into the forest.

The earth mages split into two smaller groups, one accompanied the s.p.a.ce craft and the other group were accompanied by some water mages who stayed behind casting rapid earth magics clearing up any and all evidence of the crash landing. Even the trail of the crash was completely covered. The Water mages casted a few life water magics on carefully placed seeds which grew a few trees and wild bushes surprisingly fast.

They understood without discussing it that keeping this matter secret was of the utmost priority. The impact crash site which was once a huge crater became a lush forest once again with no trace of any disturbance. The water mages casted a few fog spells and quickly retreated from the area.

Back in the fortress city Mount Earthernvale in the present time -

The King Julius Ironspine, Former King Julian, Medical Saint Renissa and Nightmaster Duke after the children left they made their way to a private room in the Mansion to have a discussion. This private room was located near the dining room, where the would afterward meet up with the children so it was much convenient for them.

[Julius, I know what you're thinking about. However we can't! This kid can't die for our causes! He has the greatest potential for combat in a youngling I've ever witnessed and to lose him over something sentimental is not something I would ever approve of] -Former King Julian

[Father I'm not so short sighted and also I wouldn't rely on a fledgling to get my revenge for me. It's just that he meets the necessary qualifications. I've never met someone who's met the criteria as much as he has. Still, no matter how much he meets the qualifications, I would never bring this up to him. This kid must feel like he owes us, If I bring this up to him it would sound like a death sentence and it would definitely scare him off] -King Ironspine

[Good! It's something too unreasonable to ask anyone after all..even I regret..] -Former King

[That's wrong!! That's not it!!] -Nightmaster Duke

Upon recognizing his rudeness Nightmaster Duke immediately came to his senses

[U-uh sorry for my outburst your majesty, please forget what I said and please forgive this old fool] -Nightmaster Duke

That was the one and only thing the Nightmaster had said all night, he bowed deeply as he said it and went deep into thought. The Nightmaster was deeply brooding and even had a bit of an unpleasant face which was rare.

[H-Husband? What's wrong?] -Renissa

[Nightmaster? What's wrong?] -Former King

[???] -King

Everyone looked at the Nightmaster with a bit of a confused expression. He hesitated before he opened his mouth once more-

[Permission to speak freely, your majesty!] -Nightmaster Duke

[We do not need such formality Duke. Please speak your mind!] -King

The King and Former King had never heard the Nightmaster let out an outburst like that before and they were curious as to what could have caused such a reaction from the latter.

[Your majesty I may not be much of a smart man.. but I have eyes and a heart! I've watched younglings I raised myself like my own sons and daughters die before my very eyes! I have a good grasp of the mental worries that plague most of these young soldiers and the one that is the most prominent is survivor's guilt your majesty!] -Nightmaster Duke

[This boy...his eyes are the same as the soldiers from that time! He survived the destruction of his world, he survived because of the sacrifice of his parents, even now he survives because of our hospitality! Sure he may not remember his parents now, but his body hasn't forgotten! A body as complicated and superior as that can't forget the flesh and bones it came from!

Don't tell me when you look in his eyes none of you have noticed that huge crack in his heart! If we continue to s.h.i.+eld him it will become even bigger until it cannot be undone! I'm afraid if you keep this away from him and never give him a chance to repay you, sure he may not find it in his warm heart to resent you his benefactor but he will certainly resent everything else!

I've seen it happen too many times already and this boy is showing it more clearly than anyone else! Not only that, but until he bets his life for the sake of this city he will never feel as though he would belong here] -Nightmaster Duke

[Are you suggesting...we tell him?] -Former King

[H-Husband you can't be serious right..even he will..Surely you can find a less slightly dangerous method for him to-] -Renissa

[NO! It must be this! If the deed he does to repay you means nothing at all to you, it won't mean anything to him! I much like everyone else want to see this little tiger grow up and see what his future would be without risking his safety but if he doesn't bet his life now for the sake of someone else his future will be crippled!] -Nightmaster Duke

Nightmaster Duke's voice rung out which was filled with distraught emotions and inner turmoil. It was obvious he truly cared about the youth's future and the urgency in his voice people could not ignore.

[Just think about it! From the first day you've awoken you've had no memories and everything you learned thus far was how many people your life is indebted to. This is a pressing matter that needs serious attention!] -Nightmaster Duke

[If you ask him and he declines then I will pay any punishment necessary even with my life! Even so I believe with all of my heart that he absolutely will never decline this even if he dies! I've seen those lifeless eyes too many times not to recognize them!] -Nightmaster Duke

Nightmaster Duke's words made them all silent, they hadn't thought about this sort of aspect. The more they thought about it, the more sense it made and they wouldn't disregard Nightmaster Duke's years of experience taking care of soldiers. However they were still too hesitant to ask.

The Former King thought to himself

(Oh ho ho, well we'll see if you're right Nightmaster Duke. This kid heard a part of our conversation....but he's still hidden himself. Let's see if he'll show himself and be the man you make him out to be or If he'll run away from it. Still I have to praise him either that or I must be getting old...I didn't notice when he arrived at all, to pull this kind of feat on me at such a young age.)

Suddenly a voice surprised them all, and even though the Former King knew he was there he thought maybe Sol would wait till they made their decision for him to make his. He had not expected Sol to show himself the instant the conversation took this turn.

[Please tell me how I can help. I apologize I did not mean to eavesdrop I was trying to find the dining room and I made a wrong turn somewhere and ended up here. Once I recognized you all were having a private discussion I turned to leave but once I heard my name...my instincts told me to stay] -Sol

Even though Sol said instincts, he was wasn't wrong nor was he right. The martial arts knowledge inside of his brain that had any sort of background that was tied to deceit, investigation and a.n.a.lytical skills had begun layering and layering themselves inside of Sol's thinking pattern and made his abilities of deduction amplified by several folds.

It wouldn't be incorrect to say Sol's view of the world had become like a predator's, not because of any sort of bloodl.u.s.ting tendencies or because of an ill personality but because the information inside his brain had rewired his thinking patterns. Just by calmly glancing at someone he would be able to tell if they were lying or if they were expecting something, if a person disliked him, if someone was trying to hide their killing intent, there were few things that could escape his perception.

Just by looking at someone he felt like he could correctly guess their age, how much they weigh, how much energy they have, how strong they are. The experience of every master that was uploaded into his brain became his experience without the memories, this was "Black Technology" and why it was feared.


These eyes of Sol, had seen through the eyes of many experts who had seen through the lies of every eyes.


Earlier Sol was led to a changing room by a maid, the Prince and Princesses who were going to accompany him in the end were rebuked by Renissa. They all reluctantly went to the dining room of the mansion where a group of people were already present to await him there. Sol had changed quickly and didn't want to keep them waiting long and hurriedly went over not noticing he went the wrong way and stumbling across their conversation.

[Boy do you even know what you are asking for?] -King Ironspine

[That's fine, I'll do it] -Sol

[Then it's settled] -Former King Julian

The King and Former King begun speaking about their circ.u.mstances, the more and more they spoke of the dangers of this task, the more and more resolute Sol's eyes became. This was a fine chance to prove himself, it was a task only he was capable of because of his special physique. The group expected at least some negative reactions from Sol but got nothing but a serious expression and resolute eyes with a hint of excitement.

Judging by what the King told Sol, it would appear that Liore's mother was taken by a swarm of Bloodmana Wasps nine years ago. The Bloodmana Wasp has a special feature where it takes the prey of it's victims and uses their Dantians as a mana source to power their hive and promote the growth of their young. Human mages with advanced Dantians make perfect energy for them and as such these wasps like targeting humans.

These Bloodmana Wasps use a special Isolation method in their hives to preserve the lives of it's prey. The growth of these Wasps are what determines the power of it's isolation method. Some are able to keep their prey alive for decades, but what makes these Wasps frightful is their natural number. It must be known that hive beasts and pack beasts were treated as a natural calamity in this world, Magnolia.

Entering a hive base to rescue one person, is something considered impossible because Bloodmana Wasps don't have eyes the only way they can see their prey is by sensing a network of mana otherwise called "Dantian". For Sol who has no Dantian, this mission would be like walking into a village of blind people.

However, with this in mind the King had tried hiring a few normal people to attempt the task by offering them incredible wealth and luxury and thought he may have had a chance. However, this brought about a disturbing new piece of knowledge.

When some of the courageous normal humans tried, they had been killed by a Variant Guardian species of Bloodmana Wasp that were never seen before. These Variant Guardian Wasps never left the hive and were of the D rank, strong enough to repel regular humans no matter how many of them there would be.

Naturally no one had ever made it inside of a Bloodmana Wasp hive before, it was an unthinkable situation. People who possessed a Dantian, never saw the entrance of it's hive willingly and folks who didn't possess mana were never in the forest. It was safe to safe, this Bloodmana Wasp Hive territory was unexplored terrain!

(Liore huh...no wonder why...) -Sol

Inside of the dining room at Nightmaster Duke's mansion, a crowd of people sat having a hearty meal. The prince and princesses were present, a woman with long red hair and red eyes and judging by her actions seemed to be Regius and Salina's mother. Next to Sophia was an extremely elegant black-haired woman with purple eyes, who seemed to possess the gentle aura similar to Sophia as well as her looks it was obvious that this was her mother.

Liore sat quietly and said nothing, even though both women were nice she seemed to be agitated by their actions. One could even see a bit of envy in her cold eyes, she looked at the empty chair beside her and her eyes became red and moist. However, she still said nothing and remained quiet.

Dorian had a slight smile as stood guard in the dining room at the table.

(He's only a fake n.o.bleman and a brat, how can he possibly compare to me? In the end the princess shouldn't visit such a filthy lowlife especially in the changing room! Grandmother totally understands me it's a good thing she stopped the princess from going to the changing room, as expected of my Grandmother! My bloodline is distinguished in battle and he's just some n.o.body without a home! Hmph! He's even using my bloodline as his own and dares to pretend to be a n.o.ble and approach the princess!) -Dorian

Dorian was currently having a battle of his own inside of his mind, he didn't believe the words he spoke but it still did not stop him from speaking them to himself. After cursing to himself for some time he finally calmed down and began to brood over the things he thought and let out a bitter laugh.

(It's insecurity isn't it....?) -Dorian

Indeed Dorian understood he was feeling insecure and that Sol's battle prowess had greatly shocked him. He didn't know how to feel about it, sure right now he believed he could best Sol, but what about later? If Sol became a real n.o.bleman what's to stop him from proposing to the princess?

(d.a.m.n since when did I become this low?...is this all I can think about? I bet that kid doesn't even think a d.a.m.ned thing about me!! That's what makes me so mad!! Argh!! Calm down...Calm down. Is he a love rival or not?....Chh) -Dorian

In truth Dorian wasn't really much of a bad guy, he just never had anyone that he felt could compete with him for Sophia's hand in marriage and then Sol popped up out of nowhere, literally. Under this new guise of pressure he obviously felt threatened and acted much aggressively than his usual disposition.

However there was one thing he started to realize, Sol didn't show any signs of him having those sort of feelings towards Sophia! Obviously this was something he could recognize because it would have infuriated him even more had it been this way.
