OSL – Chapter Twenty-Two

Gu Tian Tian calls An Yin Zhu’s phone again.

‘I know,’ An Yin Zhu says, and hangs up his phone again.

Gu Tian Tian feels like An Yin Zhu is upset with her.

Gu Tian Tian sees An Yin Zhu as someone who is calm even if the sky falls down. In the past she failed to push his b.u.t.tons. What happened to the calm An Yin Zhu?

Gu Tian Tian sits back at the table, and she feels hungry again.

An Yin Zhu sits at the small restaurant adjacent from the small restaurant he left Gu Tian Tian. By the window seat, he can see her slowly eating grilled meat.

Who does Gu Tian Tian think she is? When she doesn’t need An Yin Zhu, she shoos him away, and when she needs him, she calls him and he foolishly comes to her. What is he? A tissue box that she pulls out tissues when she needs tissues, and discard the tissue box when there are no tissues left?

An Yin Zhu answers Gu Tian Tian’s phone call.

‘Why aren’t you here?’ Gu Tian Tian asks.

‘I’m lost, wait for me,’ An Yin Zhu says.

Gu Tian Tian is suspicious why An Yin Zhu is lost since the small restaurant is near the hot springs.

‘Um, hurry up,’ Gu Tian Tian says.

‘Um,’ An Yin Zhu says, and hangs up his phone first.

If Gu Tian Tian begs An Yin Zhu to come quickly, he’ll walk to her table.

Five minutes later. ‘Why aren’t you here? I’m full.’

‘Be patient, I’m on the right track now, I’ll be there soon,’ An Yin Zhu says.

‘Um, come soon,’ Gu Tian Tian says.

Another five minutes later. ‘Where are you?’

‘It looks like I’m lost again,’ An Yin Zhu says.

‘Are you pranking me?’ Gu Tian Tian asks.

‘Does it look like I have nothing better to do than play a prank?’ An Yin Zhu asks.

‘Hurry up,’ Gu Tian Tian says. ‘I ate all the grilled meat.’

An Yin Zhu holds in a laugh. ‘Why don’t you order more grilled meat?’

‘I’m full,’ Gu Tian Tian says.

‘Then I’ll keep you company over the phone,’ An Yin Zhu suggests.

‘Um, where did you go?’ Gu Tian Tian asks. ‘Did you fall into a ditch, and you can’t climb out?’

‘What are you going to do if I can’t climb out of the ditch?’ An Yin Zhu asks.

‘I’ll explain my situation to the floor manager, and I’ll ask if a staff member can drive me back to the resort for me to get money from my cabin room,’ Gu Tian Tian says. ‘Don’t think I’ll wait for you forever.’

‘Oh?’ An Yin Zhu asks. ‘Then don’t wait for me. I don’t know when I’ll get there.’

Gu Tian Tian clutches her phone. She doesn’t doubt An Yin Zhu is playing a prank on her. She’s shy around strangers. If she explains her situation to the floor manager, she won’t know what to do if the floor manager won’t agree to let someone drive her back to the resort.

‘You’re wasting my breath,’ Gu Tian Tian says.

‘If you beg me, I’ll appear in front of you straight away,’ An Yin Zhu says.

‘Stay lost,’ Gu Tian Tian says, and hangs up her phone.

Gu Tian Tian suddenly has a stomach ache. She vows to get even with An Yin Zhu.

Gu Tian Tian calls An Yin Zhu’s phone again. ‘I’m begging you.’

‘You sound insincere,’ An Yin Zhu says.

‘I’m begging big brother…’ Gu Tian Tian says, and curses the big pig head under her breath.

‘I want to hear you say sincerely, big brother, I love you, come save me,’ An Yin Zhu says.

‘Big brother brazen,’ Gu Tian Tian mumbles.

An Yin Zhu pretends he didn’t hear Gu Tian Tian insulting him.

‘If you don’t have anything to say, I’m hanging up,’ An Yin Zhu says

Gu Tian Tian wants to smash her phone. She glances at the floor manager looking at her like she wants to eat and run, and her stomach ache hurts more. She decides to play the submissive woman card, and get even with An Yin Zhu later.

‘Big brother…’ Gu Tian Tian calls sweetly, and blushes.

‘What are you mumbling?’ An Yin Zhu asks.

Gu Tian Tian bites her lips. ‘Big brother, I love you, I’m begging you to come save me.’

Gu Tian Tian feels like her muscles are tenser after soaking her body in the hot springs. The customers must have heard her conversation with An Yin Zhu, because they’re staring at her. She crosses her legs, and wants to skin An Yin Zhu.

An Yin Zhu smiles, hangs up his phone, appears in front of Gu Tian Tian within a minute and pays for her meal. ‘Let’s go.’

Gu Tian Tian gives An Yin Zhu a stink eye, and he takes her back to the resort via the scenic route. She has learnt not to let him find out another weakness about her.

‘Are you upset?’ An Yin Zhu asks, and holds Gu Tian Tian’s hand.

‘No,’ Gu Tian Tian denies. ‘Why are we taking the scenic route? I want to go back to the cabin.’

‘What’s the rush?’ An Yin Zhu asks. ‘It’s good to exercise after eating a meal.’

‘Exercise your little sister,’ Gu Tian Tian says.

‘A moment ago, didn’t you say, big brother come save me…’ An Yin Zhu asks.

Gu Tian Tian isn’t in the mood to play games with An Yin Zhu.

‘Big brother, I love you, I want to go back to the cabin,’ Gu Tian Tian says.

An Yin Zhu’s heart softens. He feels like he’s floating on clouds. Whereas Gu Tian Tian feels like she’s walking on sharp knives.

‘Alright,’ An Yin Zhu says.

Inside the cabin room, Gu Tian Tian grabs clean clothes, runs to the bathroom and An Yin Zhu follows her.

‘Why are you following me to the bathroom?’ Gu Tian Tian asks, and closes the bathroom door.

Gu Tian Tian feels relieved after unloading. She changes clothes, opens the bathroom door and sees An Yin Zhu waiting for her.

‘If I remember correctly, you declared that you love me today,’ An Yin Zhu says.

Gu Tian Tian’s face turns red. Love An Yin Zhu? It’s her burning need to go the bathroom that made her resort to saying she loves An Yin Zhu. The scenic route back to the cabin room was torture on her bowel. On the way back to the cabin room, she didn’t have the mind frame to think about love declarations like An Yin Zhu.

Gu Tian Tian is suspicious why An Yin Zhu has a rosy complexion like he’s feverish.

‘I love you, you love me,’ An Yin Zhu says. ‘I think there’s no reason for us to wait until our wedding night.’
