The Portal of Wonderland Chapter 424 - The World of The Cerulean Sea Star

s.h.i.+ Mu felt a great pressure from the shadow of the giant blue palm. As he continued to sink, he clenched his teeth hard and the spirit within his body began to run faster.

“Hu-la!”

Suddenly, his left hand became dark and a crisscrossing red spirit ray began to illuminate. It spread throughout his entire arm as if it was burning with red hot flames.

“Ugh…!”

s.h.i.+ Mu grunted and clenched his black arm back as he rushed at the blue palm. The Crimson Ape behind him also rushed to the left fist and squatted on the palm of his hand.

Peng!

The Crimson Ape’s fire fists collided with the rolling flames of the cyan giant’s palms. The impact created a shockwave that swept everything back.

Rumble!

The attic crashed and the entire courtyard instantly flattened.

Chi chi chi… The sound was too loud not to block out of one’s ear.

Standing in the center of the wave were two men. Their clothes were blown by the hurricane but they did not move at all.

A crack began to appear on the cyan shadow from the giant’s palm. It continued to expand until it shattered.

The old man in the blue s.h.i.+rt suddenly gave out a hearty laugh and his body lit up with a ray of green light. His robe was torn and broken. His muscles were large and bulging. His whole figure began to rise until he turned into a pale cyan ape.

“It’s the Azure Ape King!” s.h.i.+ Mu said in shock.

The Azure Ape King that stood before him was not much different from the one he had encountered previously, other than its eyebrow color and slightly larger size.

s.h.i.+ Mu vaguely remembered when the Azure Ape King burst with blood and flesh into a skeleton form in order to escape from the hands of Huang Long.

Using a secret technique right now would cost a lot of energy, and his muscles were not yet ready.

The Azure Ape King walked toward s.h.i.+ Mu, seemingly with the intent to speak but could only make sounds.

Cough… cough…

“I’m surprised that you managed to find me. Tell me, what is your purpose here?” s.h.i.+ Mu asked in a quiet voice while keeping his guard up and his mind vigilant.

The Azure Ape King did not answer immediately. After coughing a few times, he stopped as he looked at s.h.i.+ Mu up and down. He showed a hint of amus.e.m.e.nt and laughed.

“Sect Fellow s.h.i.+, do you possess the blood essence of the White Ape Demon King?”

s.h.i.+ Mu was shocked at the question. His expression changed momentarily before resuming its firmness.

The change was brief, but it was caught by the Azure Ape King.

“It seems that I’m right. When you were in the secret chambers back in Heaven Ascension Peak, I’d already seen it,” the Azure Ape King said laughingly.

“What is elder predecessor saying? I can’t quite understand,” s.h.i.+ Mu’s was stunned and immediately denied it.

“Why are you still trying to deny it now?” the Azure Ape King asked s.h.i.+ Mu while taking a step forward.

“You are a strong person but you are hurt. You should have been very clear about it. I’m not afraid of you. I have something important to attend to so if there is nothing else you can offer me, please excuse yourself,” s.h.i.+ Mu said coldly as he wrinkled his eyebrows.

“Hey, I’ve come to you this time but I didn’t plan to pull any punches just to try out your strength. I’ll leave without a doubt but you will not know what you are going to do. This is utterly sad,” The Azure Ape King said as he revealed a sly smile and laughed it off in front of s.h.i.+ Mu’s face.

Upon hearing this, s.h.i.+ Mu’s facial expression changed slightly and his mind raced with countless thoughts within an instant. All he could do was laugh.

“What is your intention? I’m not in the mood to talk to you about something that has no significance to me!” s.h.i.+ Mu said before he turned and walked away.

“The seal of the altar in the secret chamber of Heaven Ascension Peak was created by the ancestors of the seventy-two demon tribes under the White Ape Demon King of Western He Continent. If not for their blood essence, even if they were of Heaven-rank, it would be impossible to get close to it. The end result would have been the same as Huang Long. I’m sure you have seen it for yourself,” the Azure Ape King explained.

s.h.i.+ Mu, who was a foot away from leaving, stopped in his tracks.

“I have no idea what is in the wooden sealed box but if I remember correctly, the ancestors of the white crimson ape once said that it was a big deal. If the seal had been undone, it would release a very powerful evil,” The Azure Ape King said in a quiet voice.

s.h.i.+ Mu heard this and his expression changed slightly. The figure of the Golden Flood Dragon flashed across his mind and he began to hesitate.

Combined with the dreams that he had been having, it would not be intentionally exaggerated. If even the opponents who are afraid of the white ape were indeed incapable of being underestimated, their strength was undoubtedly far inferior to their opponents.

“If this wooden box is so important, why are the two kings of the other demon tribes not paying attention to this matter? s.h.i.+ Mu remained silent, his expression somewhat cloudy and uncertain.

What he had experienced in the Dead Spirit Word and in the dreams he once had… he was afraid the Azure Ape King was telling the truth.

“It’s a pity that things are unpredictable and due to that, they were smashed by that thief Huang Long. Sect Fellow s.h.i.+, you had already opened the wooden box. “I want to hear the details,” s.h.i.+ Mu replied.

“First, I have to ask you a question. Where do you think we have been living all this time?” the Azure Ape King looked at s.h.i.+ Mu and laughed mockingly.

“Western He Continent…?!” s.h.i.+ Mu said.

“What about outside the mainland of the Western He Continent?”

“It would naturally be the Dongzhou Continent. The distance between the two is extremely far but there are livings in between.”

“Then does Sect Fellow s.h.i.+ believe that Western He, Dongzhou, and the seas are the extent of the world?”

“This…” s.h.i.+ Mu was hesitant.

He originally did believe so but obviously he was wrong, judging by the look on the Azure Ape King’s dull expression. The ape sighed.

“It appears Sect Fellow s.h.i.+ really doesn’t know. The Western He Continent and Dongzhou Continent are the only two largest landma.s.ses in the world but we are actually living on a huge planet known as the Cerulean Sea Star,” the Azure Ape King explained.

s.h.i.+ Mu heard the words and his eyes were full of shock. He had never heard such a thing and it uprooted all his preconceptions.

“Compared to the entire endless Star Sea, the Cerulean Sea Star is just a small planet. There are countless Star Sea worlds and there are thousands of planets in each star field. The world is full of vitality and there are creatures that thrive on it, though some are absurd. Our Cerulean Sea Star is just one of the planets with such vitality. But compared to the whole Star Sea, it is but a drop in the ocean,” the Azure Ape King relaxed and continued.

s.h.i.+ Mu looked only a little stunned but in his heart, it was like he was drowning in the middle of the sea.

The Azure Ape King seemed to have long antic.i.p.ated s.h.i.+ Mu’s reaction as he did not speak. All he did was look at s.h.i.+ Mu.

After a quarter of an hour, s.h.i.+ Mu was able to breathe a sigh of relief as a sign that he had accepted the Azure Ape King’s words. After a while, he finally spoke up.

“So the big rival that the White Azure Ape mentioned existed in the Cerulean Sea Star?”

“Hehe… Sect Fellow s.h.i.+t is indeed correct. But the elderly White Ape was originally not from the Cerulean Sea Star. They came from another planet with a stronger presence,” the Azure Ape King replied.

s.h.i.+ Mu nodded as his eyes glowed brightly. His spirits rose and his heart was enthused.

Though he only possessed the strength of Earth-rank at this stage, facing off against the Heaven-ranked spirits may be able to balance it out.

He thought that he had always been close to the peak of the world but who would have expected that his view was so shallow?

According to what the Azure Ape King said, there were countless beings in the boundless world of the Sea Star field. It was far beyond him.

However, he did not feel any fear in his heart but rather excited at the prospect.

Just as s.h.i.+ Mu drowned deep in his thoughts, the Azure Ape King’s voice rang in his ears again.

“But the power of the Sea Star Field is extremely complicated. There are countless powerful beings. In comparison, the Cerulean Sea Star is not worth mentioning at all. It is said that some of the mighty people there can make a few planets fly and turn into dust.”

Upon hearing this, s.h.i.+ Mu’s heart sank.

The thought of being able to reduce a few planets to dust showed him what great strength existed. It was almost impossible to imagine!

“Then does Elder White Azure Ape King possess the power to destroy the planets and galaxy too?” s.h.i.+ Mu quietly asked.

“It’s unknown but I highly doubt it,” the Azure Ape King looked at s.h.i.+ Mu and shook his head.

“Not bad because I’ve already opened the wooden box in the secret chambers of Heaven Ascension Peak.” s.h.i.+ Mu nodded thoughtfully with a sinking heart.
