“Qingjue, what happened?” Feng Chenling, at seeing Feng Qingjue, immediately rushed out of his quarters, reaching out a hand to grab him.
Feng Qingjue felt strange as he watched Feng Chenling anxiously worry about him, despite having only known each other for a few days. As a prince, he had never experienced anything of the like back home. His eyes unconsciously reddened as he resisted the urge to cry, softly saying, “Nothing!”
However, in Feng Chenling’s perspective, something humiliating must have happened to Feng Qingjue, so much that he was unwilling to talk about it now!
“If you were really fine, then why are you limping?” Feng Chenling reproachfully said to Feng Qingjue. A moment later he turned his gaze towards Mo Qingli. “Wife, did you bully Qingjue?”
What did that have to do with this! Mo Qingli immediately waved her hands, her expression one of being wronged. “This has nothing to do with me!”
Feng Chenling suspiciously looked at Mo Qingli, then helped Feng Qingjue into his room. He stopped Mo Qingli at the door, saying, “Chenling needs to give Qingjue some medicine, so it’s best if Wife stays out!”
Saying this, before Mo Qingli could respond, the door closed with a loud “bang!”, leaving behind the innocent Mo QIngli.
“Chenling, I…”
“Qingjue, you don’t have to say anything.” Feng Chenling sat next to Feng Qingjue, holding onto his hands. His two eyes were filled with concern. “I already know. It must be because Wife bullied you, right?”
“She…”
“Qingjue, you’ve be wronged.” Feng Chenling wrapped his arms around Feng Qingjue, lightly patting his back, his voice soothing as he said, “Wife is actually a very good person. It’s just that sometimes… she can be eager at times.”
“I…” Feng Qingjue wanted to explain the situation, but seeing that Feng Chenling was still talking, he decided not to bother in the end.
“Qingjue-ah… after three months when you marry into the residence, we can finally be together!” Feng Chenling’s mind became lost into his delusional fantasy. “Actually, Wife is actually not a bad person to be married to for your entire life, you’ll realize that when you formally get married! Qingjue-ah… I’m telling you, Wife, she…”
As Feng Chenling jabbered on, Feng Qingjue leaned against him and fell asleep.
Outside, Mo Qingli felt embarra.s.sed at her forced removal, but could only reluctantly leave.
Grabbing a pot of wine, she leaped outside onto a tree, glumly reclining against a branch and gulping down the wine.
The more she lived here, the more she found herself changing, especially to be irritated by a mere mortal to this extent. Thinking back to Feng Chenling’s accusing look towards her, Mo Qingli felt her heart beginning to ache. Originally, that night they should have… what a pity, it was all because of that Feng Qingjue making a mess of things!
She ferociously gulped down more wine at the thought. As the biting taste of the wine trailed down her throat, it unexpectedly stimulated her innards. The organs inside that had remained unmoved for tens of thousands of years unexpectedly began trembling. This realization caused Mo Qingli to suddenly sit up, closing her eyes and probing her innards.
As her surroundings were extremely dark and she was seated in an extremely elevated area with n.o.body to hinder her, she did not bother setting up a protective mechanism. However, just as her eyesight faded and Mo Qingli began focusing entirely on her cultivation, a suicidal white dove suddenly landed on her shoulder, disturbing her.
“Pu…!” At the interruption of her cultivation, her energy flared up and forced Mo Qingli to spit out a mouthful of black blood. Her ink-black eyes immediately glared dangerously at the culprit on her shoulder. As the dove was extremely intelligent, it sensed the danger and immediately fled the scene.
Mo Qingli exhaled through her teeth. How come things were like this, that even a small, pitiful white dove could bully her?
Hi guys. Sorry for the slower updates. As I mentioned before, this is probably one of the busiest times of the year, with summer applications and compet.i.tions coming up. The next update won’t be until next week when ski break ends and I return from college touring in the East Coast. Thanks for your patience and support.
