Chapter 33 – How Could I Spare You?
Translator: Mr Voltaire
Editor: Master Shadow
A single strike slashed Fang Rui’s neck, killing him instantly!
Clang!
The entire valley fell extraordinarily silent. This silence was accompanied by expressions of shock from the Fang family’s people, as well as the rapid thumping of their hearts.
An expert of the late stage of the Innate realm had died just like that in front of their eyes; this wasn’t something people could easily accept. What’s more was that the person who had killed him had been forced into desperation by them!
Only a single day had pa.s.sed, so why had the situation changed so much?
Whoos.h.!.+
Xiao Yun’s gaze swept around like a sharp blade and coldly fell on the remaining Fang family’s cultivators. The youth’s gaze caused their hearts to tremble and their minds to buzz. The killing intent that he gave off was simply terrifying.
The Fang family’s cultivators were completely shocked, and even the two Innate realm experts couldn’t help but shake.
Before, they had been prepared to work with Fang Rui to kill this youth. However, after seeing Xiao Yun’s skills, they had lost their will to fight. Their eyes filled with fear and regret, wis.h.i.+ng that they could have left here earlier!
Xiao Yun completely ignored the fear of the Fang family’s cultivators as he walked over with a cold expression.
“Young master Xiao Yun, we were forced to do this. Please spare us.”
The youth gave off an aura of might as he walked over, his killing intent causing their hearts to rapidly beat. The Fang family’s two Innate realm experts stumbled backwards as they pleaded with Xiao Yun with expressions of fear.
“You were forced to try to kill me?” A cold smile appeared on Xiao Yun’s face. Back then, he had been cultivating in the valley and hadn’t provoked these people. Even so, they had decided to kill him immediately, and had forced him into this situation. If he hadn’t possessed the skills that he had, how could he have survived under the attacks from these Innate realm experts?
“It was all Fang Rui. Otherwise, we would have left already,” the other Innate realm expert said.
“Fang Rui?” Xiao Yun’s cold smile grew wider. It seemed that these people took him for a naïve youth and thought that they could trick him easily. Xiao Yun had matured quickly after all of the painful experiences he had endured – how could he be tricked so easily?
At this moment, the two Innate realm experts attacked, planning to finish Xiao Yun off while he was distracted.
Two flashes of steel glinted as they pierced through the air. These two cultivators were both in the middle stage of the Innate realm. For them to launch a surprise attack together, it would definitely be possible for them to instantly kill a cultivator at the early stage of the Innate realm.
However, it was a pity that Xiao Yun was not an ordinary person.
“Even in the face of death, they’re still the same!” Xiao Yun’s eyes flashed as he sent out his spirit energy like a boundless wave which seemed to cover the sky.
Buzz!
The two Innate realm experts felt as if their minds had exploded, and as if their souls had been heavily struck.
Swis.h.!.+ Swis.h.!.+
Following this, Xiao Yun’s sword swept out incredibly quickly. Two cold flashes of steel slashed out and immediately disappeared.
In the next instant, the two Innate realm experts recovered, but felt a heart-wrenching pain. They looked down and found that their hearts had been pierced.
“Arghhhh!!”
The two Innate realm experts cried out as they fell simultaneously.
“They’re dead?” The remaining Body Tempering cultivators were dumbfounded.
In just a few moments, three Innate realm experts had fallen. If news of this spread, it would be enough to shake the entire Violet Cloud County.
After taking care of the Innate realm experts, Xiao Yun turned to look at the Body Tempering cultivators.
“Young master Xiao Yun, we were only following orders!”
“Young master Xiao Yun, please spare us.” The crowd were completely terrified, and hurriedly begged for mercy.
Now that the Innate realm experts had all died, they did not have any strength to fight.
“Spare you?” Xiao Yun raised his eyebrows and continue, “So you can go back and find True Essence realm experts to deal with me?”
“No, we definitely won’t do that,” they hurriedly replied.
“I’d trust a dog more than all of you,” Xiao Yun said with a cold gaze. “Your Fang family has continuously tried to get rid of me. If you want to blame someone, blame yourselves for being born into the Fang family. Your Fang family thinks that they can bully whoever they want? They think that having a Fang Hao means they’ll be able to dominate the world?”
After saying this, he sent out a wave of spirit energy.
“No!!” the Body Tempering Cultivators cried out. Following this, they were cut off as they were shaken by Xiao Yun’s spirit energy. The Body Tempering cultivators were unable to resist Xiao Yun’s spirit energy at all, and some of them immediately died as their spirits collapsed and dissipated. The remaining two were finished off by Xiao Yun’s sword.
Xiao Yun was not someone who loved killing, but he would not spare those who had tried to force him to death time and time again.
“This boy’s quite decisive and unwavering.” Seeing this, the Heaven-Devouring Sparrow s.h.i.+vered. Fortunately, it had some value to the youth. Otherwise, it might have been disposed of like this as well. At the thought of this, it didn’t even dare to consider betraying Xiao Yun anymore.
After dealing with these people, Xiao Yun looked around, preparing to leave. He had been at the Violet Cloud Mountain for quite some time and it had become quite chaotic here. If he overstayed, he was bound to run into trouble.
“Time to find some fire-type medicines for lil sis,” Xiao Yun said as he sent out his spirit energy.
With just a casual sweep, Xiao Yun discovered that there were quite a few spirit plants around. There were violet Fire Essence Fruits, as well as Fire Essence Ginseng that had lived for hundreds of years.
During this period of time, Xiao Yun had discovered there were quite few groups of people on the Violet Cloud Mountain. Apart from some adventurers, there were some people from the powers near the Violet Cloud County. After detecting them, he did his best to avoid them so that he wouldn’t meet unnecessary trouble.
After all, there would be quite a few people who would want to kill him, just like the Fang family!
Xiao Yun arrived at a peaceful valley, where creek water burbled and flowed into a large lake. There were a group of people gathered near the lake and from their outfits, they seemed to be adventurers.
At the edge of the crowd, there was a woman in white. Her aura was incredibly weak and there was blood at the corners of her lips as she lay on the gra.s.s by the lake. She had evidently been injured by these people.
“Haha, you little tramp, weren’t you so vicious before? You don’t even have the strength to fight back anymore,” a middle-aged man with a malicious look in his eyes said as he gave a sinister smile. There was a slash on his chest, through which his bones could be seen, and his clothes were dyed with his blood.
However, it didn’t seem like he minded. Instead, he looked at the woman in white with a burning gaze. The other cultivators all had fire burning in their eyes, and saliva almost began to flow from their mouths.
This woman was incredibly beautiful – her features were delicate and elegant, and her eyebrows and eyes looked like they were from a beautiful painting. In fact, she looked like she was a G.o.ddess who had walked out of a painting. Her looks and the aura she gave off would make one want to go crazy and become intimate with her.
“You shameless sc.u.m.”
The woman in white gripped her sword, her eyes filled with fury. However, she had no strength left and couldn’t even stand up. Blood continuously flowed from her mouth – evidently, she was injured quite severely.
“Shameless sc.u.m? Hmph, don’t try to act all n.o.ble. Back then, wasn’t it you who attacked the Heaven-Devouring Sparrow while it was going through its Divine Tribulation?” The wounded man replied with a sinister smile before continuing, “Haha, you look like an expert, so I’m sure you have many treasures on you. After killing you, I’ll definitely be able to break the shackles I was bound by and break through to the True Essence realm. However, given how beautiful you are, I might as well make you my concubine. Haha, as long as you serve your lord well, I’ll spare your life.”
After saying this, the man started to walk towards the woman in white.
“Don’t come over, or I’ll commit suicide right now.” The woman in white’s eyes became deadly as she lifted her sword to her neck, preparing to slit her own throat. There was a trace of resolution within those n.o.ble and dignified eyes.
It seemed that this young woman would rather die than be defiled!
“Your personality’s quite fierce, eh? I like it. However, do you really think you’re still in control of your life and death?” the man coldly laughed as he stepped out. Essence Qi rippled in his palms as it swept out towards the young woman.
Boom!
After being hit by the Essence Qi, the young woman’s hand trembled and her sword fell out of her grasp.
“You!” The young woman started to panic and immediately prepared to bite down on her tongue.
“You’re still trying to die?” The man’s figure appeared beside the woman in an instant as his hands snaked towards the young woman’s cheeks and clamped down on her joints. No matter how much she tried, the young woman couldn’t bite down on her tongue, making her lose all hope.
“Can’t I even die?” she thought, as a tear rolled down her face. She never thought that she would have fallen into such dire straits.
“Hmph, if you want to die, you’ll have to ask for your grandaddy’s permission first,” the man coldly harrumphed as he ripped off a strip of his clothing and stuffed it into the young woman’s mouth to prevent her from biting her tongue. His gaze was akin to that of a ravenous wolf’s as he stared at her.
“Haha you’re still a little lady. It’s best to take you back to be my little concubine.”
The other adventurers stared as they gulped down saliva.
“Don’t worry, this boss here won’t forget to treat you all well,” the man turned and said to his brothers.
“Thanks boss.” Hearing this, the eyes of the cultivators behind him shone as they grinned excitedly. The man smirked as he stretched out his big hands and grabbed towards the woman.
The woman in white had no strength to resist anymore and all of the men’s eyes were filled with pa.s.sion and l.u.s.t. After this matter, the boss would definitely reward them.
Tears continuously fell from the woman in white’s eyes, her heart feeling as if it had been pierced.
When had she ever suffered such humiliation before? Was she really going to become this person’s concubine?
“You’re as beautiful as a celestial G.o.ddess, and your skin’s so perfect.” The man’s expression became lewd as he gulped down his saliva, preparing to begin.
The woman in white lost all hope as her eyelashes trembled and she tightly closed her eyes.
“Stop, you animals!” At this moment, a cold voice yelled out.
“Who is it? Who dares to interrupt this lord?” the boss roared. He turned and saw a youth rus.h.i.+ng over – evidently it was this boy who had yelled out, causing killing intent to flare from his eyes.
“Where’d this brat come from? Does he want to die?” The other adventurers frowned as they coldly spoke.
“It’s you who wants to die.” Xiao Yun’s expression was extremely cold as he glanced at the pitiful-looking woman in white and deeply frowned. He remembered what his little sister looked like when her Chilling Qi flared up, and how much it hurt his heart to see her like that.
