Chapter 3

In the first place,

When asking why a girl like her is going to enter the same elementary school as me, why does this have such a deep meaning to it?

The founder Harukawa was born the second son of a farmer.
He baby-sat while helping with the family business and took the lesson while taking care of my younger brother.
When he finished elementary school, he became an apprentice at a store in Tokyo, saving money and becoming independent at twenty years old.

Later on, I sold a rare type of German beer with an alcoholic beverage company and was able to become a great success.

As time pa.s.sed by our life Improved and it was good. Eventually he returned to his hometown and decided to build a home for his family, making it as extravagant as a castle. “Contributing to my hometown is truly a master piece.” He started from the ground up, bringing companies that were affiliated to him one after the other improving the town by making department stores, public transportation, hotels, and railroads. They even modeled a landmark in honor of Asukayama Park in Tokyo filled with cherry trees. The people who lived here weren’t ignorant of what the Harukawa family did and considered them basically as the lords of the town, having large say over the town.

The founder Harukawa didn’t forget how he was able to accomplish so much despite only going to a poor elementary school.

“It’s because of the trouble that I went though and how I saw the world as a child, that I was able to get to where I am. Only a child with a good family that goes to a from school will never truly experience the world. Which is why you should experience a part of what I did.”

The heir of the Harukawa family ended up going to the same old school that the founder went to. It’s a wonderful idea that he thought of but did’t rich children get kidnapped or get targeted by perverts around the time he went to school?

My parents normally worried about Kotono ended up sending her off and welcoming her in a strict manner.

Even if she didn’t wish for that, it was somewhat regrettable that she couldn’t return to her childish mind when her school satchel clattered with cla.s.smates.

For two to three years, we were in the same cla.s.s and I served as her charm.

She was violent and became more and more selfish. I was fortunate that she didn’t oppose me but If I was the one who didn’t like it, regardless of age, they would be slapped mercilessly. I would try to mediate but I would often be caught in the backlash and get hit.

It got to the point that when I was in third grade, Kotono was a considered a celebrity, and a sixth grade boy came to the cla.s.s to see her for himself. There was a guy who tried to mediate between a love letter given towards me but it was usual to stop.

My viewpoint was always subtle, viewing the cold look that Kotono gave with her eyes which made me pity and sympathize with her, and the messed up fellow that can a.s.sociate with such an odd person. They blended complicatedly like a marble patter.

The woman and child that were clearly hostile towards Kotono for three years.

“Are Harukawa and Sasuke Dating?”

I laughed while looking at Kotono. When thinking about it, a partner was bad for them. If she was an ordinary girl, please blush quickly.

“Of course, cause he’s different!”

We all stared in surprise at Kotono while she looked up at them and grinned. The reason one person on the group will tell later.

“The smiling face that I’m so afraid of was seen for the first time.”

And Harukawa Kotono seems to have said it so readily.
