Woooo, our foursome are heading back to school. I can't wait to see things start to heat up … hopefully!!!! I did enjoy their vacation but I love it when they are back in school. Much more interaction and looking forward to things picking up.

After the New Year, Li Erqin was busy going around with her parents to give New Year greetings to everyone, and communication between the foursome was kept to a minimum. Occasionally, someone would send the group a picture of what they were doing, but by and large, her phone remained conspicuously silent.

Finally, all the obligatory New Year greetings were over, and Li Erqin wanted to send a text to Rong Si and invite him out. However, she felt reluctant and timid about it.

They had not been in touch for so long that she felt a bit distant from him. Would it be weird to suddenly send a random text? She dithered and dallied and still did not manage to send a single text to Rong Si.

Luckily, school was starting in a few days, and Li Erqin headed back to school early. Who would've thought? Su Zi had returned even earlier!

As soon as she saw Li Erqin, she dropped what was in her hands and bounded over. "Erqin! Missed you to death!"

Li Erqin laughed. "I missed you guys too."

Su Zi finally released her and asked, "Afterwards, where did you go?"

"Where?"

"Yeah." Su Zi helped put Li Erqin's luggage in her spot. "We went to look for you several times, but you weren't at home."

"You guys came to find me?"

"Yup." Su Zi went back to organizing her own things. "Peng Zige and several others wanted to go skiing but could never find you."

Li Erqin was embarra.s.sed. "I must've been out."

"No matter. There will be more opportunities next time."

The two of them had made plans to put all their things away and then head to the cafeteria for dinner when Peng Zige called. Su Zi and Li Erqin were in the middle of putting on a bedsheet so the call was put on speakerphone.

The moment Su Zi pressed the "Accept Call" b.u.t.ton, Peng Zige's loud and excited voice filled the room. "Are you at school?"

The girls were struggling with the bedsheet, and Su Zi said, "I'm at school."

"What about Li Erqin?"

Li Erqin responded, "Right here."

On the other line, they could hear a great deal of movement and noise and Peng Zige's loud voice calling out to Rong Si in the background, "Ah Si! Erqin's back too!" His voice returned to the phone, "Then let's go eat dinner together!"

Su Zi looked inquiringly at Li Erqin, and Li Erqin nodded. "Ok! We'll probably need another 10 minutes."

Su Zi then looked over at all their luggage and clothes with some misgivings. "Is that enough time?" she asked Li Erqin.

Li Erqin replied calmly, "It's enough."

Thereafter, Su Zi stared dumbstruck as Li Erqin *flew around the room and put all her things away in record time. She had actually finished in ten minutes.

Su Zi was amazed. "Erqin, you … how'd you move so fast?"

Li Erqin said some with pride, "I've always been fast."

"Then how come before you only managed to hang three sets of clothes in the half hour we were here?"

Li Erqin said matter-of-factly, "Because there was no sense of urgency before."

"Oh."

(Minodayz: hahaha that's just soooooo LEQ!!! Girl after my own heart! )

She had not seen her friends in the latter part of the winter break, and now they were finally all together. Peng Zige had grown another shade lighter and was getting closer to Rong Si's complexion. However, he still had a ways to go before he reached Rong Si's height.

Li Erqin had secretly snuck by Rong Si's side to compare the two boys.

Good grief … he had grown even taller.

She herself had grown two cm taller over the break. At the end of the previous semester, if she stretched she could just reach the top b.u.t.ton of his coat. Now, she could barely make it to the second b.u.t.ton from the top!

Rong Si noticed this restless figure by his side, bouncing up and down doing who knows what.

He stopped and said, "What are you doing?"

Li Erqin had no reply.

Peng Zige was also suspicious. "What are you doing?"

Li Erqin honestly admitted, "I'm measuring body height."

Su Zi and Peng Zige said simultaneously, "Measuring body height?"

Li Erqin was a bit embarra.s.sed and said in a small voice, "I used to be at Rong Si's top b.u.t.ton …"

Peng Zige did not understand.

Li Erqin added, "Peng Zige used to be at Rong Si's eyebrows."

Peng Zige was puzzled.

Then he pulled Rong Si over and stood next to him. He was startled. "Below his eyes!?"

He turned back to confirm with the two girls. "I'm not even up to Rong Si's eyes?"

The two friends were honest and nodded sincerely. Su Zi nodded particularly emphatically.

Peng Zige had been dealt a big blow, and he wailed, "I drank a whole semester's load of milk last semester! Do you know how much willpower it takes for me to drink milk?"

Li Erqin asked, "How much?"

"Every time I drink milk, I get diarrhea."

Li Erqin: "……"

Su Zi said, "That's a lot of effort you put in."

Rong Si finally spoke. "Lactose intolerant?"

Peng Zige had never heard this term before. "Huh?"

"It's nothing."

They continued walking towards the cafeteria, but Peng Zige could not let this go. He asked Rong Si, "Ah Si, did you secretly drink a lot of milk over the New Year's?"

Rong Si replied, "I don't need to secretly drink milk."

Li Erqin laughed.

Rong Si glanced over at her.

Peng Zige was not satisfied. "Then why are you so tall?"

"My dad is 1.93 meters (6'4"!!)."

"Oh."

Peng Zige had no more questions.

After thinking about it, he had one more question. "What about your mom?"

"1.75 meters (5'9")."

"Oh."

This time, there really were no further questions.

Minodayz : I do love how they are comparing height and skin colour! I'm sure it's a preference for many as some like Fair, some like Tan, darker skin etc… Still the foursome trying to measure up is just too cute. PZG just had to ask RS about his parent's height! CMU!!! It's the weekend yayyyyy!!!!

I've finally returned home – seriously there is no place like home! Although I don't miss cooking and cleaning up! Lol! I'm so tired I feel like I've hit the wall! So once again, glad to be supported by an awesome team.

Also, a belated Happy Thanksgiving and hopefully none of you would over spend on Black Friday! XD
