Chapter 2: An Otherworldly Awakening!

At the edges of a woodland, a huge volcano reached towards the heavens. Thick smoke smothered the sky, seemingly glueing it against the ground. The earth vibrated occasionally, as if it were warning people who ventured here that the volcano could erupt at any time!

Suddenly, the ground started to tremble violently. The volcano started spewing out ash, sulfur, and lots of fiery rocks. Above the peak of the volcano was a region of distorted s.p.a.ce, as if the sky had shattered. Simultaneously, a silvery piece of rock shot through the sky, glistening with various mesmerising auroras, and plummeted towards the depths of the forest!

In the midst of the light trails, a small figure revolved and twisted, following the trajectory of the silvery rock.

Under the extraordinary powers of nature, the sky mended itself almost instantaneously. In just a few seconds, the forest regained its peace, as if it had never shattered before.

BOOOOM!

The sound of the rock cras.h.i.+ng to the ground echoed throughout the vicinity, and it caused a huge explosion upon striking the ground. Subsequently, the small figure flew out like a bullet due to the shockwaves created.

Sadly… he crashed shortly after into another boulder, weighing hundreds of kilograms, that spewed out from the volcano.

After flying a short distance, the boulder fell to the ground, seemingly crus.h.i.+ng the little figure below it. Sigh… what a sad situation to behold. Compared to the rock, the little kid was as small as a fly. What are the chances of him surviving?

Moreover, the volcanic eruption had barely started. What happened was just the first wave. The silvery piece of rock was still plummeting towards the surface of the earth.

The shaking gradually increased in magnitude. Right when the trembling reached a crescendo, the boulder crashed head-on to the silvery rock that had pinned the figure to the ground, just like a hammer driving a nail into the wall. Due to the impact, both rocks disintegrated in the blink of an eye.

Everything within an area of over one hundred kilometres of the explosion withered and died. Everything perished, be it flora or fauna, beast or man! An enormous crater over a hundred metres deep appeared with the collision.

At the eye of the explosion, the little kid lay there motionless, covered with scars and lacerations.

In his arms lay a remnant piece of the silvery rock. Amazingly, this fist sized piece of rock felt shockingly cold even though it had just been in the center of the explosion.

However, the fact that the child managed to survive this impact was even more shocking, and can only be described as a miracle. As for how this miracle occurred… there could be no other explanation; it was purely due to the silvery rock.

As for this young child… Yup you got it! It’s me, the prodigious kid who got a bargain off the beggar!

I’m sure you guys are wondering how i managed to survive that b.l.o.o.d.y crash. As silly as it sounds, the silvery rock smashed through s.p.a.ce, and brought me into another dimension. While travelling through hypers.p.a.ce, it shrouded me with a plethora of force fields, each one indescribably powerful and impenetrable. Thus, I survived the insane landing with multiple layers of force fields protecting me. As for how powerful the force fields were… just think about it like this; The s.p.a.ce that we are living in was so stable that it managed to survive the trial of time. Yet, the silvery rock managed to punch a hole through it, and distorted it enough for me to travel through. Therefore, only a power large enough to destroy s.p.a.ce could ever hope to hurt me.

Initially, if nothing else happened, s.p.a.ce would mend itself rapidly. However… the impact of the landing was just like a nuclear bomb, and all of this power was stuffed into the young child instead of being turned into energy to repair the hole in the sky. In order to survive, this insane power traversed through his meridians, and protected his frail body by becoming part of his power!

Due to this, the young child’s body gained unimaginable control over s.p.a.ce, even though the power of the impact dissipated quickly. As s.p.a.ce and the young child had a short partners.h.i.+p, it decided to form an unbreakable bond with his body. This was a phenomena that had never happened before in the past billions of years! s.p.a.ce had always been a power that could never be controlled. If not, couldn’t all the various Deities and G.o.ds of each world cause havoc in other worlds?

Being able to cause so many heaven-defying changes, the origins of this innocent looking piece of rock must be amazing! As for that… we will delve into it later.

Time pa.s.sed gradually. Seconds… minutes… hours… However, the young child remained unconscious, replacing his comfortable bolster back at home for this silvery piece of rock.

On the third day after his landing, several black figures appeared on the horizon. Looking at their hurried movements, they must have rushed here. With such a large scale explosion, their appearance at the current location was pretty logical.

These figures inched closer and closer. Each one of them were strongly built, with their muscles bulging. However… none of them were taller than 1.2 metres. They were dwarves!

These dwarves approached the unconscious young lad carefully. Once they noticed that the young lad hugging a piece of rock was the only thing in the center of the huge crater, they looked up at each other with questioning expressions.

After a short discussion, the dwarves picked him up, and wanted to pry the rock away from him. However, the young lad’s grip was too strong. If they tried to take the rock from him forcefully, they will definitely injure his arms. Thus, the dwarves gave up on trying to wiggle the rock loose, raised him up over their shoulders, and slowly made their way into the distance…

“Ugh… my body hurts like h.e.l.l… where am I? Why can’t I see?!” I started panicking as I didn’t know what had happened to me.

Without ascertaining my current situation, a wave of nausea hit me. Once again, I fainted. This process repeated itself several times, and in the midst of this, I vaguely remembered somebody feeding me something sweet. However, due to my lethargy, I couldn’t even lift an eyelid!

I had no idea how long I was out for. Afterwards, I heard from Senior Dwarf Luo that I had been unconscious for over a month. d.a.m.n… I can really sleep!

Slowly, I regained my senses, and eventually recovered. I opened my eyes with great difficulty and squinted at my surroundings. What a strange sight!

I was situated in a house built purely out of logs. Numerous logs were driven into the ground to form the walls of the house. The ceiling was a enormous hollowed out tree log.

The strangest thing about this wooden house is the fact that it’s alive! Between each tree trunk were countless green leaves and shrubs, seemingly colouring the entire house bright green.

“Bello! R2D3C2P0, Balalananana.”

Surprised, I looked towards the source of the sound. Standing there was a stout dwarf, roughly a metre tall, with a face so full of facial hair that I could barely make out his features. He gestured towards me agitatedly. However, I had absolutely no idea what he was trying to say…

“What language is this?” I thought to myself right before fainting once again. This time, I was unconscious for only one day.

Upon waking up, I found out that my bodily functions had been greatly restored. Moreover, I felt pretty energetic to boot.

Also, I noticed out that there were a lot more people in the room this time. After counting, I found roughly ten people chattering away in some G.o.d forsaken language.

So what if I don’t understand? Hehe… as long as there is life, there will definitely be a common language in each world. No idea what that language is? Let me, this prodigy, enlighten you! It’s called… Sign language!

Even though sign language differs slightly in each world, the essence of it never changes. Eat, sleep or talk, one will understand once they look at it!

To my fortune, but sadly, not the dwarves’, they lived at the base of the volcano. Due to the shockwaves caused by the explosion, many of them became deaf. Thus, sign language had become one of their main languages.

Even though my hands were sized differently compared to theirs, I still managed to get my thoughts across to them. As for how I learned sign language… I once partic.i.p.ated in an event called “THE BIG LOVE HEART LOVE ME MORE MOVEMENT”, and learning sign language was one of the main activities.

As for their hand signs, I had trouble discerning all of them. However… I’m none other than the prodigy of my world! I just had to spend the slightest effort and I would be able to understand what they were trying to say. Hehe!

Ultimately, I concluded that these dwarves were asking me about my body condition, and if I was still feeling unwell. Whilst signing to me, Dwarf Luo chattered non-stop. It became apparent that they had all gotten used to hand signs.

Making a huge gesture, I told the dwarf that I had almost fully recovered, and thanked them for their generosity and hospitality.

Dwarves are all kind by nature. Upon seeing my hand signals, smiles of relief appeared on each and every one of their faces. A tiny female dwarf, probably quite young, carried a bowl of food carefully towards me, and told me to eat up!
