Cheng Qingchong froze, and several seconds later, she slowly turned around. All of her focus gathered on that figure.

They came closer to her until Cheng Qingchong could hear the conversation Qin Yinan was sharing with young girl. It was then that she recovered. Cheng Qingchong turned around in a hurry and quickly wiped away the tears on her face before she rushed to the other side of the road.

In her hurry to escape, she missed a half meter tall stone pillar behind her. She tripped over it and fell face first to the ground.

The sharp pain caused Cheng Qingchong to gasp audibly. Afraid that Qin Yinan might have heard her, she struggled to stand up, and it was then that she heard a familiar and soft voice asking, “Miss, are you alright?”

Cheng Qingchong kept her head lowered, to have her hair cover up her face. She didn’t even dare make a move.

Since her face was all covered up, Qin Yinan was unable to get a good look of her. He bent down to hold her arm and help her get up. When he was about to ask if she could still walk, a familiar scent that greatly evoked his memory drifted into his nostrils. His body shook before he started to study the woman in earnest. In just a few seconds, it dawned on him. He pulled her body that had been trying to run away straight to stand before him.

Even though he could only see half of her face through the curtain of hair, he managed to recognize her. “Qingchong?”

Qingchong?

That was her name, but when it fell into her ears, it almost caused the tears that had stopped to start again. She couldn’t even remember the last time someone had refer to her as Qingchong. If not for the fact he had just used her original name, she would have been on the way to thinking her name was Xiao Yin and no longer Qingchong.
