Chapter 78: The Girl in a Mint Dress

Lin Xin turned her head to look and saw the transfer student in a mint green dress .

It was indeed Wu Anan . This world was really too small . Since yesterday up to today, she had met two old friends, both important and named supporting characters in the original story .

She remembered Wu Anan was two years older than her . Her age is now considered old for school, which was truly unexpected . After all, she’s already seventeen . To be starting her first year of high school at this age is quite a surprise . Could it really be for the sake of being in the same cla.s.s as Lin Xinyu?

Lin Xinyu didn’t have a good impression of Wu Anan . Previously, he liked everyone in the orphanage and would observe them daily from the back, hoping that they would come and play with him . Now, he only felt that those who hadn’t played with him before were all unimportant strangers .

She asked, “You came to City S together?”

Lin Xinyu didn’t want to answer Wu Anan and stood behind Lin Xin silently .  Having two supporting characters ask her the same question two days in a row, Lin Xin was somewhat annoyed . She simply answered, “After you left, there were people who adopted us . ”

Wu Pingping, who was standing next to Wu Anan, saw Lin Xin’s indifferent att.i.tude . She stepped forward and said, “An An, we have to go to school tomorrow . They probably haven’t eaten yet . You can reminisce about the past when you go to school tomorrow . ”

Wu Anan felt that her sister’s words made sense, so she stopped bugging Lin Xin and Lin Xinyu .

After Lin Xin said her goodbyes, she brought Lin Xinyu to the cafeteria . Today’s dishes were pretty good, including Lin Xin’s favorite Red Braised Meat . However, she had something on her mind, so she just randomly ate two or three mouthfuls before she stopped eating . There was still half a bowl of rice left on the plate, as well as a mouthful of red braised meat .

Lin Xinyu felt a bit strange .  She usually eats a lot, what’s wrong with her today? She didn’t even eat the Red Braised Meat that she loved the most . He couldn’t help but suspect that what he said in the morning hurt her .

“What’s the matter with you?” He asked cautiously, “Is it because of what I said this morning?”

Lin Xin shook her head and caressed his hair . She smiled and said, “This has nothing to do with you . ”

“Is that because of Wu Anan?” Lin Xinyu asked again .

Lin Xin paused and said, “She seems to be in the same cla.s.s as you, can you limit your interactions with her? Don’t get too close to her…” The reality was that Lin Xin wanted to say, don’t make her like you . That situation didn’t sit well with her, even just by thinking about it . However, after giving it thought she continued, “If she ends up liking you one day, you can try liking her . I think she’s pretty good . . ” If Wu Anan liked him, and he liked her in return, then there would be no more connection between him and the female lead later… This was also a good way for her to get out of the picture .

Lin Xinyu’s expression changed . His fingertips turned white . He lowered his head and said with a slightly trembling voice, “I will never like her . ”

Lin Xin’s heart skipped a beat . There was a pa.s.sage in the original describing Lin Xinyu’s att.i.tude towards Wu Anan . It was neither cold nor hot, he treated her like an ordinary friend, then it became a bit more ambiguous than normal friends . This caused Wu An to be unable to extricate herself from it .
