Chapter 17 — This Male Lead Is a Bit Sick (17)
After a few days, Huo Junhan, who had successfully upgraded, opened his eyes and locked his gaze on a certain someone . The person was chatting with the system while eating potato chips .
“Nourish, nourish . ” After the chips were eaten, Shen Mubai gulped down a bottle of c.o.ke and hiccuped . (TL: or burped, but for the sake of aesthetics… . )
System: “Huo Junhan is awake, he’s standing behind you . ”
Shen Mubai went still for a few minutes before finally slowly turning around .
He was staring at her, looking deep into her eyes .

When Huo Junhan stepped into the water, Shen Mubai still hadn’t recovered from the ‘ride’ . Only when she saw him start to clean his body, and the new pair of clothes near her, did she snap out of it to ask the system, “What is he doing?”
The system replied, “From what I can tell, Huo Junhan is gradually turning back into a human . ”
Shen Mubai was confused and asked, “Was he not a zombie?”
“Yes, he was . Zombies are becoming increasingly human, while humans are becoming more and more like zombies . ” The system said .
Shen Mubai remained silent . She felt like she and the system were speaking two different languages .

Although he wore ordinary clothes, on him, they looked elegant and fas.h.i.+onable . It was mostly his handsome, expressionless face and his indifferent, ice-blue eyes that drew people in .
Only Shen Mubai knew of the terrible brutality underneath his perfect appearance .
Huo Junhan threw the extra set of clothes at Shen Mubai, and, as if he couldn’t stand the smell of her, he looked away and frowned .
Shen Mubai thought, ‘You’ve been this smelly before, and I haven’t even said anything yet… If anything, I should be the one doing that to you . ’
However, she still smelled herself and recoiled .
She told the system, “System, give me soap . ”
A durian-flavored soap was thrown to her .
Shen Mubai almost cried as she stared at the soap . “I hate durian . ”
The system snorted and said, “I didn’t ask you to eat it . ”
“Believe it or not, I will come and fight you . ”
The system simply replied, “I’m so scared . ”
