Blade Online Chapter 14

Third conquered area 《Golem Mountain》. Since I’ve only opened up to the 2nd conquered area in the beta-version, It is my first time coming here. This town is made when the boss monster is defeated.
Blacksmith skill, Cooking skill and other production type players gathers and open a business when the town is made. And the players who are low level other than conquering are using information they got in the market and earn experience point in the area that are difficult to have a strange situation. Though it seems like the conquering group opened up to the 11th conquered area, this town also have quite few players.

You think that why am I come to this town?, it is because I thought that there won’t be a lot of players here. The thing about being Long Sword user will get attention and I don’t want to get close to other people because I’m expecting to have a terrible body odor. Well, though its different from what I expected, there is quite few players. Now that you think about it, I can’t somehow immediately go out in an area where there is a high level monster since there is a risk of dying. I won’t go to an area where monster exceeds level 10 if its me.

And now, I’m in the inn. Though I was not able to earn money in that forest, It is possible to use the money that I owned in the beginning to spend it for one night.
The room is quite small, there is nearly foothold just by having a small bed. The toilet and shower’s entrance is right by the side of the door. How should I say it, though the hotel is made out of tree which seems to be RPG like, the mood is spoiled by the toilet and shower. Why it is so modernistic here. I’m grateful but…….
I take off the initial equipments to become naked and take a shower. Though the outward appearance like change such as removing a lot dirt in the body because of not was.h.i.+ng for extended period of time and having a sticky oily hair didn’t happened, somehow only the body odor became intense. I carefully wash my whole body while being impressed in the shower for the first time in a year.

「fuu……. Refresing」

I stop the shower since the body odor is completely gone and leave. because of being dry immediately if you get wet with water, towel is not necessary. I only wore underwear and s.h.i.+rt which I wear under protective gear and jump to the bed as it is. Though the bed is stiff, for someone like me who sleeps at the top of the rock, this sleeping comfort is really heaven. Rather, it is too comfortable that it is hard to sleep.
I gaze at the ceiling and think about the future.
Since I finally get out of that forest, I’ll withdraw from fighting monster and stay in the inn. I’ll be able to somehow make it with the present living expenses if I sell the items that I have. But I don’t want that. Though I hate the impossible game like in the forest, I want to fight since now my level greatly increased. And I want to triumph over to Garon and his friends who deserted me.

「s.h.i.+ori……」

I remember when I got deserted. I wonder where is that girl now. That girl is also quite a gamer, she would not die easily……I think. Though I think that the probability of dying is low because being in a party unlike me. If we made friend register, I can check if she’s alive or not. I can feel relived if she enters a guild.
Guild is simply a thing like a large scale party. One player would declare the creation of a guild and need to have not less than 30 players wis.h.i.+ng to join within 3 days to make it. I only know the things that was opened to public in the net because I didn’t make a guild in beta-version but, it seems that some percentage of sharing received experience points would increase when a member of a guild defeated a monster. A strong player shares an experience point to a weak player and would be able to safely level up. Though there is seems various privilege, I’m not are of them.
Come to think of it, there was a bulletin board function in this game. I remember that I was making fun of by anonymous players when I’m recruiting comrades. I’ll look at it later.

I want to ease s.h.i.+ori and other by entering a good university and a good joob. That is why I take an entrance examination of a high-level university. There is nothing but studying in the memories of my high school life, sparing my sleeping time every to study. Because of studying that much, I though that I would pa.s.s. But the reality is cruel.
Just one step and I failed the exam. I became ronin because of not having intention of entering other than that university. When I fail, s.h.i.+ori encouraged me while crying.

I was encouraged by various of people, but I already completely lost my motivation. Why I’m the one who fails. Isn’t it I desperately studied to an extent of enduring my favorite game every single day. Despite that, Why? Don’t joke around.
I bought 《Dream》 with the money which I earn by working to go in the prep-school in the future. I used the 《Dream》 that was bought with the money saved together with my sister but, I can’t afford to use it alone since s.h.i.+ori liked games. Therefore, I bought a 《Dream》 for my own use, shutting myself in the room continuing playing the game throughout the day.

At first, s.h.i.+ori said that taking a breather is necessary and say nothing more but she became disgusted as I shut myself for months. The words of persuasion to work hard came many times from s.h.i.+ori but it did not affect my heart.

『Nii-san……Until when are you going to play game?………Please work hard…… If its Nii-san, I’m sure that you can make it to a good university』
『Nii-san. Please get out of the room, please. I’ll hear it if you’re troubled by something. I know that it is painful to fail in university, but its not good to say like that forever. Please make it next』

No matter what she said, I have no intention of coming out of the room. Eat the dish that grandmother cooks and play game all day long. Though I didn’t forget the promise with s.h.i.+ori, it didn’t matter anymore. There is no reason for someone like to protect s.h.i.+ori. Therefore, give your best on living. You can live without depending on me. s.h.i.+ori is strong enough. Moreover, a man would not neglect you because of your beauty. And get a boyfriend and live happily. Because I’m playing games. Find me a job in a good company. And then, share me some money to buy a game if possible. Since I’ll get tired if I play only the same game. I rely on you, s.h.i.+ori.

I feel like having a long dream. Though I could not remember it, s.h.i.+ori is inside the dream, crying. Its because of me. The pillow got wet. It seems like I’m also crying. s.h.i.+ori cried because of you. Do I have the rights to cry?………d.a.m.n.
I want to see s.h.i.+ori. And I want to apologize. I don’t think that I’ll be forgiven but, I still want to apologize.
I wonder where s.h.i.+ori is now.

First of all, I decided to out. Since I can’t be wearing initial equipment forever, I’ll make some protective gear with the item I have. Though it would cost money, Its probably alright. I want to go in the conquered area here and check my own power after that.

And then, I’ll look for s.h.i.+ori.

I equipped protective gear and 『Bloodstained Sakura』, opened the door of the room and go outside.
