"Who's the girl, maybe I know her?" He shrugged and wiped the bar.

Rae hesitated for a moment. "Amy Davis. I met her a week ago, and I was told she comes here occasionally."

He stopped wiping the bar, then continued. "Hmm. Don't know her."

Rae knew he was lying as he walked away and said nothing more.

The bar filled up, and quickly, it was crowded. Rae glanced around and saw a woman sitting at the end of the bar, watching her. Rae knew the look, and as if on cue, the woman got up and made her way over to Rae.

"May I?" She didn't wait for an answer. She sat down, much too close to Rae. "Buy me a drink?" she asked coyly.

Rae raised an eyebrow and called Pete over.

"I'll have another and get..." She stopped and looked at the woman.

"Call me Juanita."

Rae raised the other eyebrow. Oh, brother. "Juanita whatever she likes," Rae finished, and Pete walked away.

Rae turned slightly on the barstool. Juanita inched closer. Any closer and she'd be in Rae's back pocket. "So...Juanita. Is that a stage name?"

She laughed excessively loud. "No. Just my name for the night. Have you been downstairs?"

Rae smiled. This woman was fast. "No, not really."

"You should try it." Juanita reached over and placed her hand on Rae's upper thigh.

Rae glanced at the stairs, looking for someone, something familiar.

Juanita reached up and put her hand on Rae's cheek and turned her face to her. "Hey, remember me?"

Rae gave her a wink. "Juanita, Juanita," she said, smiling.

Juanita was in heaven. "Let's go." She took Rae's hand.

"Whoa. Let's relax for a minute. What's the rush?" Rae sipped her drink.

"I don't remember ever seeing you before," Juanita said as her hand sensually rested on Rae's thigh.

"Actually, I was looking for a friend. She said she used to frequent this place, so I thought I'd see what the appeal was." Rae tried to avoid the tingling sensation in her thigh.

"A friend? What's her name?" Juanita plucked the cherry out of her drink and sensually placed it in her mouth and sucked on it. Rae watched her for a moment, then blinked. She then collected herself.

"Amy Davis," she said in what she hoped was a steady voice.

"I know that name," Juanita said, and Rae heard the honesty in her voice. She looked right at Rae. "Young, blond. I remember her now. She had a tattoo on her back, a snake."

"Right." Rae hoped this woman would continue.

"Look," Juanita said and glanced around. "You don't want to be involved with her and her crowd. I mean, they're..." She stopped, and Rae leaned forward and took her hand off her thigh and held it.

"They're what?"

She gave Rae a skeptical look. "Who are you?"

Rae, feeling like she was going to clam up, smiled and took her hand. "Just a friend, nothing more," she said slowly and caressed her hand. Juanita softened for a moment.

"I think you're a bit more than that. I think you're a bit reckless. I like that-reckless."

She smiled and stood, placing herself between Rae's legs. She put her arms around her neck and kissed her. Rae tried to pull back, but to no avail. Juanita's tongue plunged into her mouth, giving Rae a tonsillectomy. She slowly pulled away and erotically sucked on Rae's bottom lip before releasing her.

"Now. Let's go downstairs," Juanita said as her hand wandered up to her breast.

To Rae's horror, she saw Sarah standing there, gaping. She then turned and made her way through the crowd. Rae saw her as she looked around in confusion, then Sarah noticed the stairs.

"Sarah, no," Rae called out as Sarah ran downstairs. She knew Sarah thought the stairs were an exit. Rae tried to release herself from Juanita's tentacles. Finally, she freed herself and apologized. She picked up her money off the bar and looked at Juanita.

"Sorry, gotta go," she said and scooted off the barstool.

Sarah had already descended the stairs and looked around in the dimly lit room. What in the world is this place? she thought as she slowly walked around. She noticed two men in the corner. One on his knees in front of the other, who was holding his head in place. She was shocked. She looked the other way and saw three men in an intimate entanglement.

"Oh, my good Lord," she exclaimed and abruptly turned around. She b.u.mped into someone who put her arms around her. She looked up to see Rae's angry face.

"Do you know what's going on down here?" she asked stupidly as Rae dragged her to an unoccupied area.

Rae then unceremoniously pushed her against the wall. "Are you crazy?" Rae asked angrily.

"Me? I'm not the one exhibiting lascivious behavior in a public place." She looked around. "This is a public place, isn't it?"

Rae hung her head and growled.

"And who was the brain surgeon you were with? Does she have a name?"

"Juanita." Rae shook her head.

"Honestly?"

"Will you quit joking? What are you doing here and where's Delia?"

"She was called away. Don't blame her. She thinks I'm at home."

"Which is where you're going." Rae took her by the arm.

Sarah pulled free. "Hey, quit mauling me. Jailbait is waiting for you upstairs. Or were you planning on joining the party down here?"

"Don't be ridiculous, Sarah," Rae whispered. She heard someone coming down the stairs. "d.a.m.n it. Keep quiet." Then she kissed Sarah, who let out a m.u.f.fled yipe.

"What are you doing?" Sarah whispered against her lips.

"Someone's coming."

"More than one I'd say..."

"Keep quiet." Rae pulled Sarah around, so that she now was against the wall and could see the room, her eyes now accustomed to the darkness. They really were having s.e.x in a public place and paid no attention to Rae and Sarah. Rae let Sarah go but held her close.

"s.h.i.+t," Rae whispered.

Sarah froze. "What, what?" she whispered into Rae's shoulder. "I can't see a thing, and I'm feeling very vulnerable."

Rae said nothing, thanking the G.o.ds above they were in a very dark corner. Then she saw him. The redhead, Jerry Truman.

"Okay, kiss me like you mean it," Rae said and roughly pulled her head back.

"W-what..?" Sarah's voice squeaked out.

Rae's mouth clamped down on hers in a rough, brutal kiss. Sarah exclaimed, almost in pain, as Rae's fingers entwined in her hair. Her other hand came around her back and firmly grabbed her a.s.s and squeezed.

She looked beyond Sarah to see Jerry Truman narrow his eyes, trying to adjust to the dim lighting. He looked their way and for a second looked like he was going to come over.

Rae then slid her hand under Sarah's s.h.i.+rt and caressed her back, her hand then returned farther down her body. Sarah was moaning and unfortunately becoming quite aroused as Rae put on a show for the redhead.

He turned away and walked upstairs. Rae quickly let go, and Sarah staggered for an instant. Rae steadied her but watched to make sure he wasn't coming back.

"Okay, let's..." Rae whispered quickly.

Sarah's lips stopped her as she placed a scorching kiss against her lips. Rae moaned deeply as she leaned against the wall. Her heart was pounding in her chest as Sarah's tongue snaked past her lips. Sarah now moaned into the kiss as she reached down and cupped between Rae's legs.

"Oh, G.o.d, Sarah. Not now," she begged breathlessly and tried to pull away.

"Shh. Stand perfectly still there, and n.o.body gets hurt." Sarah continued to ma.s.sage Rae as she easily unzipped her jeans. Rae groaned and put her head back against the wall with a small thud. Sarah kissed and nipped at the offered neck as she slipped her hand inside, her fingers immediately engulfed in the warm arousal. She purred. "My goodness."

Rae growled helplessly as she shook uncontrollably.

Sarah worked her fingers through the wet curls, and Rae cried out as the insistent fingers found their mark. "Sarah, G.o.d," Rae hissed. She felt her legs getting weaker. "I-I can't stand much more."

Sarah kissed her pa.s.sionately as she stroked slowly. "Not yet." Rae was now panting, trying desperately not to slip to the floor. Her knees buckled several times. Sarah's caresses were pure evil, bringing Rae right to the edge, then backing away. Rae was perspiring and trembling with her ache to release.

"Please, Sarah," she found herself begging. She had never done this before. The feeling was so exquisite, she felt like crying.

Sarah pulled Rae down for a deep, loving kiss while she gave Rae what she needed. She swallowed Rae's cries of ecstasy in the kiss. Rae shook and quivered with each stroke until Sarah slowly stopped and once again cupped her s.e.x. She held her, and Rae instinctively clenched her thighs to capture her hand.

"s.h.i.+t!" she said breathlessly and slumped against Sarah.

Sarah chuckled and kissed the damp forehead. "G.o.d, you feel so good. I love to hold you like this." She gently ma.s.saged once again.

Rae groaned and twitched. "Stop it or I'll come again. d.a.m.n it, woman," she said in a low raspy voice.

Sarah relented and pulled her hand away. She zipped the jeans as Rae stood there helpless. "You've ruined me. I used to have a good deal of staying power. Now one touch, and I'm toast. What have you done to me?"

"I've loved you, that's all," she said tenderly. "Not the most romantic spot..."

Rae looked into the compa.s.sionate eyes. She reached in and caressed the soft cheek.

"Is that all?" She took a deep, quivering breath and shook her head.

"That's the naughtiest thing I have ever done," Sarah a.s.sured her with a wicked laugh.

"C'mon, let's get out of here before you have any more ideas."

As she pulled Sarah through the decadent array of humanity, Sarah smiled inwardly at Rae's awkward gait. It took Rae a moment to get the strength back in her legs as they headed up the stairs.

Once outside, Rae looked around and guided Sarah to her jeep. As they pulled away from the curb, she glanced at Sarah; the look of pure l.u.s.t was unmistakable.

"G.o.d, don't look at me that way." Rae tried to maintain control. She opted for changing the subject. "That woman knew who Amy was. By the way, you don't really think I was going to do something with her, do you?" She gave Sarah a quick look.

Sarah swallowed with extreme difficulty and fanned herself. "At this moment, I couldn't care less about Conchita..."

"Juanita..."

"Don't push it." Sarah grinned. "Your place or mine? Quick."

Rae's eyes widened as she watched the road. Then she laughed nervously at the look on Sarah's face. "Well, yours is closer."

They ran up the walk. Sarah fumbled with the key, and Rae took it out of her hand and opened the door. Once in, they were like magnets. Their bodies rammed into each other. They kissed and fumbled with each other's clothes. Sarah wrenched her mouth free.

"Start a fire," she said.

"I'm trying to," Rae countered as she kissed her deeply. Sarah laughed.

"No, you dope, the fireplace. It'll be roman..." She stopped short when Rae nearly ripped off her blouse.

"To h.e.l.l with the fire," Rae said in low sensual voice that would always and forever make Sarah go weak in the knees. She was ushered upstairs on wobbly legs.

They lay in each other's arms, completely and wonderfully sated.

"Remind me to take you back to The Snake Pit from time to time," Rae said raggedly. "How did we get at the foot of the bed?"

"I have no idea." Sarah sighed deeply. "That was better than any workout. I wasn't at all sure my body could bend in quite that angle."

Rae laughed and pulled her close. "I threw a lumbar disc or two myself."

With that, the phone rang. Both of them groaned and looked around the room. The phone was on the floor across the room. "How the h.e.l.l did my cell phone get over there?"
