Although the people in the opposite room were chatting and drinking merrily, they all seemed a bit distracted.

The first person to fold was Chief Yang, who was holding a microphone and singing. “Do you think it’ll turn into something serious?”

She heard Lu Ban Cheng speak and really wanted to lift her head, return a light smile, and politely refuse, but her eyes at this point in time were full of tears and her throat was blocked up and couldn’t make a sound. She could only keep her head down and shake her head. She then pa.s.sed him and continued out the door.

She ran somewhat hurriedly, and carelessly stumbled over her own feet. Her body swayed, and headed straight for the ground.

Gu Yu Sheng, who was leaning against the headboard, saw this scene, and without even thinking, sat up and was about to jump off the bed, when he saw Lu Ban Cheng reach out a hand to stop her from falling.

Gu Yu Sheng released a small breath, and slowly stopped his action of getting off the bed. Just as he had pulled the blanket to fully cover his body, he heard Qin Zhi Ai’s quiet and soft voice from the door, say, “Thank you.”

He went to pick her up in such heavy rain, and she didn’t give him a single word of thanks. Lu Ban Cheng just supported her up and she’s already so quick to thank him?

Gu Yu Sheng eyebrows creased, and he looked in the direction of the door. Qin Zhi Ai head was still down and Lu Ban Cheng was still holding onto her arm. Lu Ban Cheng gently asked, “You haven’t sprained yourself anywhere, have you?”
