He reached for her, lifting her until they both sat on bent knees before each other. "I can't stay away from you, Toni. I don't know my limits with you. But I want to go all the way." His eyes filled with enough emotion to knock the words out of her mind. She needed to breathe, or else she'd suffocate from his magnetism.
Kissing him was her response. What if tomorrow was different? What if tomorrow never came? She didn't want to think about his words. No, she just wanted him. Cras.h.i.+ng her mouth into his, she took charge until he dominated her again. The kiss was rough and beautiful. It was like a tornado, wiping out everything that stood between them.
She straddled him, leading him as he lay on his back against the bed. Sensations ran up her body as his fingers slid between her thighs. She ached there from his touch before, but she wanted more. The blood roared through her body, thundering between her ears. Toni curled her fingers under the elastic of his boxer briefs and pulled urgently as he lifted his hips. She held her breath until his erection sprang out with such force, his c.o.c.k smacked against his stomach. Wrapping her hand around the thick girth, she gasped. Holy s.h.i.+t, he would destroy her with it. He could literally destroy her in every way a person could be destroyed.
"Oh, Fabian..." Her voice was weak as she held his stone-like flesh in her hands. "I... I..."
He wrapped a hand around hers. She s.h.i.+fted her gaze up to meet his.
"I'm going to wors.h.i.+p every part of you until you can't take me anymore. And then I'll stop and wait until you want me again."
Oh G.o.d. She wanted him inside her, filling her, and didn't care if he made her walk crooked for a week. She's take every inch of him. "I want you inside, Fabian. So deep inside me you get caught."
She lifted herself to her knees and hovered over his incredible erection, biting her lip with antic.i.p.ation of its entry. He stroked himself slow and languid before rubbing his tip against her. He paused, she groaned. "Condom in my wallet."
Of course. She'd been so lost in her wanton need, she'd forgotten that important thing.
Antic.i.p.ation moved her into action. She retrieved the condom from his wallet and opened it with a sloppy tear. "Let me," she insisted, rolling the latex over his length, though there wasn't enough to cover him fully. Toni stared at him, sheathed and ready to penetrate her. She'd never describe a p.e.n.i.s as beautiful, but his was. Perfectly shaped and angled. How would it feel? She gulped, taking a longer look at him.
"I won't hurt you, baby. I promise. I'll go slow." He soothed her fear. "Do you trust me?"
A week ago, the answer would have been a resounding no. Now, she couldn't imagine not trusting him. With everything.
She nodded. There was nothing else to say, only act on their shared desire. To quench the hunger that had been building since he became her a.s.sistant. It seemed so long ago, mere weeks, but time was arbitrary for her.
He took her hips in a firm grip, placed her over him just barely above his sheathed erection and whispered, "It won't be the same anymore after this."
With her own desperate whisper, she managed to say, "I don't want it to be the same."
Before she could take another breath, he was inside her, stretching her, impaling her. Her cried echoed in the room, as she tossed her head back, the pain much worse than what she thought it would be. It was as if she'd never been with a man before. Waves of pleasure came fast and furious as he slid further inside her. To the hilt, she took him in, holding still for a moment to let her body adjust to his size. She rose steadily, moaning with how much satisfaction came after.
"Ah ... you feel so good. I can't...You're amazing." He choked on his words.
She lowered herself and lifted again, riding him at her own pace. He groaned, taking her waist and flipping her on her back. She yelped with the surprise.
He kissed her again with hot wet lips. His tongue infiltrated her mouth, meeting her tongue and tangled with it in a slow dance. The kiss was sensual, lasting for minutes. He parted from her, his voice gruff against her ear. "I was going to come fast if you stayed on top."
She lifted her hip against him. "You can. I want you to."
"No," he said, taking her b.u.t.tocks in his hands. "I'm still working on you."
She squeezed around him, loving that he was still inside her. She throbbed, groaning as he plunged inside her harder this time. Several times he did that, finding his rhythm. Though they were having s.e.x, she knew it was more than that. Despite how rough he was, how dominant he was, his eyes contrasted what their bodies did. They were making love. Nothing would convince her otherwise.
Time hung still between them as they continued to move together. Tension slowly built until they both released in a fierce explosion. After the high wore down, their eyes met. No, nothing would be the same between them.
Chapter Eighteen.
The society pages would have a field day with this fact-Fabian Pallis had fallen hard. It was disconcerting, yet the most exciting thing he'd ever felt. He had fallen. It was worth saying again. Finally, someone made him fall. And that someone had called him a loose cannon and a misogynist. He lay with Toni, stroking her loose waves as he thought of the events that brought them together in his bed. Ten o.r.g.a.s.ms later. Six for her and four for him, and he wouldn't have it any other way.
"You probably should have fired me."
"I know." She moaned softly against his cheek.
He laughed. His smile faded until his face was resting against the pillow. Toni s.h.i.+fted under him, nuzzling him a moment before her mouth pulled in a weary smile. He brought his fingers to her lips, moving across them in a slow stroke. "I love these lips. I want them on me all the time."
She kissed his fingertips, taking them between her lips. G.o.d, she felt so good biting him like that. She pulled back, resting her head on the pillow next to him. "I never thought this would happen."
Fabian pulled her back to him, didn't want her a centimeter away from him. Not now. Not anymore. "I wanted this to happen the first second I saw you."
"I know you're probably still p.i.s.sed at me for lying to your dad." She sighed, looking away. But when she looked back, her eyes were filled with so much, and he didn't know how he could ever possibly be mad at her about anything.
"Why didn't you just talk to me about it?" He recalled the email, not feeling any of the anger he once did. Actually, it made sense.
She shrugged. "I guess I was just fighting it. Fighting what I felt for you. It was really stupid."
"It's really sweet."
She smiled back at him. "I want you there as long as I can keep you. And I lied." The smile faded as she looked off for a moment, recounting something.
"Hey..." He stroked her face. "My father and I have bigger beef than you calling me a misogynist."
"But it's ruined your chances to join sooner, right?"
"Yeah." He nodded.
"I tried to talk to your dad at the gala. I'll talk to him now." She turned, attempting to get off the bed. But he wouldn't allow it. He grabbed her and pulled her back to the sheets they'd warmed.
"Let him think it. For now." He kissed her. "I want to keep you in my bed as long as I can."
A smile parted her lips. "How can this work?"
Her skin sprouted goose b.u.mps as he ran his fingers over her collarbone and then back against her neck. "We'll make it work. f.u.c.k what anyone else thinks. I don't give a s.h.i.+t. I just want you, Toni. And I know you feel the same way now."
"What about Camille? Is she in the picture?" She didn't look at him.
"No!" His emphatic response jolted her gaze up. In her eyes, he saw the uncertainty that he wanted to quell. "She's never been in the picture. Not like this." Reaching out, he trailed a finger over her skin, moving up her arm. He would never be able to stop touching her skin.
She sat up, the sheet slipping, exposing a nipple he promptly touched, because, well, he rather loved her nipples. She giggled like she was shy and pulled up the sheet again. She grew serious. "This has to be between us."
"What?" His stomach rippled. Was Stephan in the picture after all? "Why?" No way was he going to keep her a secret. He wanted the world to know she was his.
Toni touched his shoulder, hanging onto it. "It's ... it's complicated. As long as you're working for me, we can't tell anyone."
Fabian watched her. There was more to this than she was letting on. Still, he could understand her point. Apparently, they'd been warned of each other. He also didn't want to jeopardize his chances of being partner with his dad. But he had to make sure another person wasn't the reason she wanted to keep their relations.h.i.+p a secret. "Is it Stephan?"
"No." Her gaze fell, and he worried. "I have no intentions of ever being with him. I want you."
"I want you too, baby. I don't want to hide this." His pulse beat wildly at his throat.
He knew she was troubled by the way she avoided eye contact with him. "Fabian, please see my point of view."
He wanted to soothe her, take the worried look off her face. The subject would be dropped. For now. He pulled her against him, felt the warm tresses of her silky hair on his chest. "Okay, baby. We can keep it between us. But for now." He backed away, lifting her chin with his finger. "But just until I leave RI. After RI, I intend for everyone to know you're with me. Understand?"
She fell against him. His arms tightened around her as if he'd never let go. And he wouldn't. How did I get so f.u.c.king lucky?
"You looked absolutely stunning in that dress tonight. Every man in the room wanted you." He recalled the way his father did, too, by the salacious look on his face. Disgusting. Competing for women was not a problem he and his father ever had, thank G.o.d.
"I only had eyes for you." Soft kisses tickled his chest. One by one, she moved up until her lips met his. They kissed soft at first, then more savage as his body warmed up again. Sweet and wet, her mouth opened and closed at his command when he'd taken control. And just like that, he put her down on her back and worked his way down with the intention to give her a seventh o.r.g.a.s.m.
Toni padded against the tiles in Fabian's kitchen, wobbling about like she'd been on a horse for twelve hours straight. With his size, she felt like she had been.
"I miss you," Fabian called from the living room. She'd braved the walk to the kitchen to fetch another bottle of wine to complement the Thai takeout.
She smiled. Not what she expected him to say? Wasn't he supposed to be a player? He'd been anything but since he found her on his doorstep. She laughed, calling out, "I'll be back in two seconds!"
He popped his head in the kitchen. "Two seconds is too long, my ladycakes."
Toni attempted to pull the cork from the bottle. "Well, well. The player has a ladycake."
Warm arms circled her from behind. She wore one of his t-s.h.i.+rts that was large enough to be a dress on her. He nuzzled her ear. "I guess the player was waiting for your cakes specifically."
How many ladies were there? She hated that thought, and didn't really want to know. But she'd only been with one other person, so the concept of casual s.e.x was foreign to her. "Because my cakes are tasty."
"Mm. Indeed." He kissed her neck, and goose b.u.mps sprouted all over her body. G.o.d, he felt so good. She didn't want him to ever take his hands off her.
She moaned. Too distracted to continue the uncorking, her fingers slipped. "I can't believe it's past nine. I should probably go home. I don't have any clothes."
"We have a carton of pad Thai to eat. Besides, I like you in my s.h.i.+rt."
"I can't wear your s.h.i.+rt forever!" She laughed, turning to him. He was so cute standing there looking at her. d.a.m.n playboy. But his eyes were different, softer. He'd never looked as innocent as he did staring at her right then.
"Then I'll buy you a whole new wardrobe to keep here."
"Fabian, I have a wardrobe."
"Yeah, but I was thinking playsuits and teddies. Of the lace variety, obviously."
Toni slapped his arm. "You're a perv, aren't you?"
His eyes darkened. The breath caught in her throat when he said, "I'm a lot of things with you."
They kissed again for the millionth time. Tender and long, each of his kisses always felt like the first. The ground fell out beneath her-she was falling. Worries of her mother, of Stephan, of her need to prove herself couldn't touch her in that place with Fabian. He was all she needed. And so she kissed him harder. His hands slipped under the too-large s.h.i.+rt, driving up her ribcage until he cupped her b.r.e.a.s.t.s. She moaned. His hands were so gentle on her. He was so gentle. Not what she thought he'd be.
After they'd made love again on the counter of his kitchen, they sat on the floor taking turns drinking wine straight from the bottle. Her mother would freak if she knew where her daughter had ended up. Toni stared at her naked legs stretched out before her against the cool tiles. She thought of Stephan. How would she explain his presence at RI? She looked at Fabian's admiring gaze. He smiled, and she knew she wouldn't be able to tell him about Stephan. About what her mother wanted. The engagement.
How would she ever get out of that and still keep Fabian?
"Tomorrow's Monday."
"Mm-hmm." Fabian gulped from the bottle.
"Tomorrow is my month anniversary as acting CEO." Hard to believe the weeks had pa.s.sed so quickly. She'd been whipped up by the events. Honestly, she hadn't been able to breathe.
"We need to celebrate." He handed her the bottle, which she promptly took a long swig.
"We can't celebrate if this relations.h.i.+p is supposed to be secret." Fabian frowned, and she quickly added, "For now."
"For exactly how long?" His stare pinned her. She couldn't look away even if she tried.
The answer didn't come. Because she had no idea, though what popped in her head was horrible. Unfathomable. For as long as my mother is living. She looked away in shame. There had to be a way. Had to. "Hopefully not long."
Chapter Nineteen.
Fabian's heart fluttered upon his entry into Toni's office. He felt like a d.a.m.n schoolgirl crus.h.i.+ng on the hot, young English teacher. He carried a cup of Toni's special coffee and a file of investments he'd conned from the investment department's administrative a.s.sistant. He didn't knock before he opened the door-didn't think he had to anymore. She promptly looked up from her computer.
Her gaze impaled him. Her mouth opened from the surprise, making him hard thinking of what they did for most of Sunday. And just two hours ago in her penthouse.
"Hi beautiful," he said, kicking the door closed.
Her smile widened. She was the most beautiful woman he'd ever seen. Never did he think he'd be obsessed with someone like he was with Antonia.
"Hi." Her voice was low, seductive, making him silent promises.
"G.o.d, I miss your lips." Upon his approach, she stood. They kissed. He knew her perfect pink lipstick was ruined. It became his mission to ruin her lipstick every chance he got.
When they parted, she nervously glanced at the door. "Fabian, we have to be careful."
He groaned against her lips. "You know I can't not touch you if you're close to me." His fingers trailed up her bar arms. "I'm so hard right now."
She whimpered, their lips touching again. "No," she whispered, pus.h.i.+ng him away. "We can't. I don't want anyone to walk in and see us."
Only one person came to mind. Stephan. "Why is that a.s.shole here?"
She looked away. "It's my mother's doing. She wants him here." She took her coffee cup, drinking from it. "I don't want him here either. Trust me." Her eyes refused to meet his. What was she not telling him? The thought niggled at him. But, given their fresh relations.h.i.+p, he didn't want to pull at that string. Not yet.
