As she and her fiance made love a second time, this time slowly, with all their emotions and feelings poured into every touch, every caress, Morgan realized she'd truly found her paradise in the arms of the man she loved.

Epilogue.

Six Months Later.

Tony had a surprise for Morgan. One he'd been working on for several months.

She'd been so busy planning the wedding and attending to all those details, she hadn't even noticed the research he'd been doing, the e-mails to and from his private investigator.

But now everything was in place, the deed had been done.

And the best part was, her name wouldn't be drawn into it at all. Nothing about her would be revealed.

But David Randall? Oh yeah, he was screwed.

Tony smiled as he read the headlines in the New York Times.

"District Attorney indicted on Kidnapping and s.e.x Charges."

David Randall's grimacing face was spread all over the front page as he was led away in handcuffs from his office. Oh, the scandal. What would all his friends and relatives in the Hamptons think about their fair-haired boy now? Tony laughed.

It had taken some doing to get the goods on Randall. s.h.i.+fty, sly, secretive b.a.s.t.a.r.d. But everyone had his weaknesses, especially perverts like David. And when he'd taken a woman across state lines for the purposes of holding her captive and playing his perverted s.e.x games with her, that brought in the FBI.

When a friend in the FBI found out about what David had allegedly been doing, she went undercover. Gorgeous, voluptuous Vickie, always eager to put a slimeball away. And she reveled in this a.s.signment, took David to the very edge with her innocent act. And then as soon as he tried to do to Vickie what he'd done to Morgan, she took him down.

Big time.

Oh yeah. Revenge was sweet.

"What are you grinning about?"

Tony looked up and smiled at Morgan, the sight of her never failing to take his

breath away. For a sorry sonofab.i.t.c.h like himself, he'd sure gotten lucky to find a woman like her.

"I have a surprise for you."

Her dubious expression made him laugh. "Your surprises make me nervous."

"You know me too well. Now come here and sit on my lap."

She crossed the kitchen and settled on his lap, wriggling her delectable a.s.s against his crotch.

"You're doing that on purpose to distract me."

"Uh huh." She bent and nibbled at the corner of his lip.

"Stop that."

"Nuh uh."

"I have something to tell you." He wound his arms over her silk-clad back, loving

the feel of her body moving against her dress.

"Tell me."

"It's about David."

She stilled and looked at him. He waited to see the fear in her eyes, but all he saw

there was wariness. "What about David?"

Tony handed her the newspaper. "Read."

She s.h.i.+fted off his lap and slid into the chair next to his, her eyes rapidly scanning

the headlines. "Oh my G.o.d."

He didn't answer, just let her read and soak it all in. When she finished, her gaze met his. Tears pooled in her eyes. "It's over."

He nodded. "Yes, baby, it's over. That p.r.i.c.k is going to jail for a very long time.

He'll never come after you, never be able to hurt you again. And your name will

never come up in this."

Her eyes widened. "You had something to do with this?"

"Maybe." He'd wondered what her reaction would be. Would she be angry at him? Probably. But he couldn't let that snake continue to hurt women like he'd hurt Morgan.

"How?"

"I have friends in high places. I really didn't do anything, just mentioned to a few people that he needed to be checked out."

"Didn't they ask how you knew?"

He grinned and reached for her fingers. They were icy cold. He rubbed them between his hands. "I'm a reporter. I don't have to divulge my sources. Besides, it didn't take long for the FBI to dig up dirt on David. He'd developed a relations.h.i.+p with a woman, met her, and ended up crossing state lines with her. When she went missing, they made the connection to David. They took the ball and ran with it after that. I knew it was just a matter of time before they figured it all out."

She shook her head and crawled back in his lap, wrapping her arms tight around his neck. "Thank you," she whispered.

"You needed to be free, baby. Completely free of him. Now it can be the two of us looking forward. You never have to look back again."

"I don't know what I did to deserve you," she said, pressing a light kiss on his lips.

He shuddered, his body warming, readying for her. "You loved me. That was all it took."

Tony lifted Morgan in his arms and carried her off to the bedroom. "You're going to be late for work today."

"I hope so," she answered, kissing his neck. "I hope I'm very, very late to work."
