Alsar Chapter 57

T/N: h.e.l.lo! I'm not dead yet! Everything is fine! I joined some scans group so I've been busy tl-ing for them (and sometimes ts-ing although I still sucks as ts-ing). Well I don't have any plan in dropping the web novel I'm translating but updates will be superrrr superrrrrrr slowwwwwww. Especially I still have my yuri on ice doujins.h.i.+ scan group.. I really like YOI and not planning on stopping tl-ing YOI dj!! If anyone want to take Alsar or Devil's Origin off my hands, please do tell me beforehand because I usually already have the next chapter partially translated. I don't mind giving up the series if that means someone with more dedication and focus can take over!~

Chapter 57 : Looking for a House ?

"Ho-am~ Ah.. Umm.. Today we're going to look for a house if I'm not wrong..?"

I yawned and stretched my body, the bright morning sun could be seen between the gap of my curtain. 

Glancing at the clock, I saw it was already 08.00 a.m.

I hummed to myself and tried to recall what had happened yesterday. 

After escorting me home, the three of them said that they wanted to live together with me soon and planned on looking for a house together. 

We had earned quite a lot from Calhea subjugation quest so we could afford to spend one week searching for a suitable house without taking any other quest yet. 

Well if in the end we couldn't find a house and they had to leave the guild, we could rent a house temporarily while still kept on searching for a permanent house. 

"They said they will come pick me up at 10 a.m. I guess I can make something light for breakfast first." 

Since I already took a bath last night,  I didn't need to have another one this morning. 

I walked out of my room to wash my face and changed my clothes in the washroom. 

While I was walking toward the washroom, I saw that there was no one in the living room. 

Malik-san must be still sleeping.

"Hmm.. If I'm not wrong Malik-san has midday s.h.i.+ft today. Since he's still sleeping, maybe I should make him a sandwich so he could eat it by the time he wakes up." 

After was.h.i.+ng my face with fresh, clear water, I brushed my tangled hair with a comb. 

I looked at myself in the mirror and saw that my long bangs was starting to obscure my vision.

"My bangs is getting too long.. It's getting on my eyes and makes my forehead becomes dirty easily.. My hair is almost reaching my shoulder too.. I want to cut it but Fer-san told me he wants to see me in long hair..Hmm.. I guess I should let my hair grow a little bit longer for now.."

My hair was already long enough for me to tie them together so I wanted to cut it but those three seemed to be looking forward to seeing me in long hair.  

Having longer hair wasn't really an inconvenience so I didn't mind letting it grow out. 

I guess it would be alright if I only cut my bangs since having a long bangs was really annoying. 

Taking a scissor into my hand, I grabbed a handful of my bangs and was about to cut it when I suddenly remembered. 

"Hmm.. If I cut it on my own and my bangs become weird, Fer-san will become upset.."

The one who will become sad the most if I were to cut my hair would be Fer-san. 

Of course it went without saying Fer-san would become very upset if my hair became weird because I tried to cut it on my own. 

I used to cut my hair on my own since I didn't care much about my style but I think this time it'd be better if I have a hairdresser do it instead. 

"I wonder if there's any beauty salon in Pedrel? If there's one, I want to go there soon." 

We are going to head into the royal capital and meet up with various important people, I want to look presentable to not give them a bad first impression. 

After brus.h.i.+ng my hair, I tied my hair in one neat ponytail and headed to the living room. 

I took the ap.r.o.n that I always left on top of the dining chair and walked toward the kitchen. 

"Now then, what should I cook for breakfast~"

Of course I'd make sandwiches so Malik-san could also eat it after he woke up. 

After cracking eggs into the bowl, I added a little more seasoning than usual to give stronger flavour and beat the eggs together. I will use this tamagoyaki to make an egg sandwich. 

I grated the carrots that I had boiled beforehand and marinated it with sugar, soy sauce and vinegar. This carrot sandwich will have the perfect combination of salty and sweet flavour. 

I cut the cabbage and fried sausages in bite size. I added the ketchup on top of the sausage and grilled the sausage sandwich lightly to give a nice and crispy feeling to it. 

I took out a bentou box from the headboard and put the sandwiches inside to bring it together with me. 

As for Malik-san's portion, I put it on top of a plate and covered it with gla.s.s case so Malik-san would know what was inside the cover without opening it first. 

"Okay, I've finally finished." 

I brought Malik-san's plate and mine to the dining table.

I put Malik-san's plate on the center of the dining table, it should be conspicuous enough for Malik-san to notice. 

Taking a chair for me, I clasped my hand together and said,"Itadakimasu." 

Of course there was no one here with me but it felt weird to eat without saying 'itadakimasu' first. 

I munched my sandwich in silence. 

After I had finished eating, I glanced at the clock. 

9 a.m.

There was still an hour before they arrived.

"I still have lots of time to do housework.. Okay let's do the laundry! The weather is good today so I will let Mr.Sun to do his work for once!~" 

[Clean] could be used to make the clothes spotless in second but doing it manually was more satisfying instead. 

It had been a while since I had this much free time so I wanted to spend it doing things that I liked. 

I returned to my room , took my dirty clothes from the magic bag and put it inside the basket to bring it to the garden. 

To my surprise, the garden had changed so much since the last time I saw it. 

I had only been gone for one month but the change was so distinctive that it surprised me. 

Seemed like Malik-san had the help of professional gardener.

There was a small pond along with lines of beautifully arranged bushes and flowers. 

The colors were so vibrant but didn't clash against each other, making it pleasant for the eyes. 

"[Wash]! [Dehydration]!"

I washed the dirty clothes using magic and lined it up to dry. 

Since the weather was so nice, the clothes would be completely dry by the evening. 

"Phew.. Having a cup of tea while relaxing seems nice.."

After all the clothes had been lined up, I went to the kitchen to brew the tea while waiting for the other three came pick me up. 

Drinking green tea while relaxing really soothed my mind and body.

"Ren! We're here!" 

"Ah, it's Sig-san! Wait, I'm coming!" 

I hurriedly went to the kitchen to put my used gla.s.s on the sink and grabbed my magic bag that I had left on the dining chair as I heard Sig-san calling for me. 

I opened the door and there was Sig-san along with Chris-san and Fer-san. 

"Good morning." I greeted them. 

"Ren-chan!~ Good morning!~ As always, you look very cute!~" 

"E-eh? Wh-oa!" 

Suddenly Chris-san pulled me closer to him and hugged me tight before giving me a huge smooch on the cheek. 

Chris-san usually had this light, flowery feeling about him but I never saw him suddenly hugged and kissed someone so this came as a surprise even for me. 

"Fufu~ When I see Ren-chan with the cuff, it feels like we've become a fiance officially so I became very happy and I just can't help myself~ I'm sorry if I startled you~" 

"N-no.. Well I was surprised but.. I didn't hate it.."

I couldn't take my engagement cuff off so of course I'd wear it with me.

Although, the idea of other people looking at the cuff and came to the (right) conclusion did make me feel a little embarra.s.sed. 

Since I liked Chris-san, of course I didn't mind being touched by him. 

No, rather than that, I quite enjoyed it. 

But.. Ahhh.. It's so embarra.s.sing! 

I stared intensely at the ground, I was too embarra.s.sed to look at them in the eye!

Ah,my cheek must be in deep red right now…

"Ren-kun, if you don't hate then is it alright if I also kiss your cheek?" Fer-san asked with his usual gentle voice. 

"E-eh?! Umm.. Yes. Yes, you may." 

His sudden request startled me but I nodded my head in consent. 

Of course I would answer yes but ahh, as expected it was embarra.s.sing after all.. 

Fer-san caressed my head softly, as if he was cradling a fragile marshmallow in his hand. 

He pushed my chin upward so I was face to face with him.

Fer-san's face bloomed in a smile as our eyes met and he slowly closed the distance between us, kissing me innocently on the cheek. 

Somehow I could hear the birds chirping but maybe it was only my imagination. 

"Ah, then me too! But I want Ren to kiss my back in return, okay?"

Without waiting for me reply, Sig-san dived in and kissed my cheek chastely.

The sudden display of affection made me lose focus for a second but .. Sig-san was waiting for me to return the favor soon so I tiptoed while clinging to Sig-san's arm for support as I kissed his cheek. 

"Umm.. That's all, right?" I asked sheepishly. 

"…. I didn't think you'd actually do it. Hmm.. How about if we kiss each other's cheeks as a greeting from now on?"

"Eh?" 

"Ah!~ That's a good idea!~" 

"I agree."  

Seemed like Sig-san had been saying it as a joke since he looked as perplexed as me at first but after the others jumped on in his suggestion, Sig-san's face slowly loosened and he grinned from ear to ear just like a child. 

Looking at Sig-san's pure smile made my heart clenched in happiness so I can't help but to get along with their decision. 

"Ah, Ren-kun can you please kiss my cheek as well?"

Of course Fer-san and Chris-san also demanded me to kiss their cheek in return. 

Aah… From now on I will need to kiss them on the cheek as a greeting.. I need to get myself used to this huh.. 

Chris-san and Fer-san leaned down to my height so I can kiss them easier. 

It was embarra.s.sing but when I looked at their happy smile, maybe being embarra.s.sed like this wasn't such a bad deal after all. 

"Okay! All done! Let's go now!" I said, reminding everyone of our plan today, meeting with a real estate agent!

It'd be bad if I didn't stop them now, I had a hunch they'd ask for more kiss if I let them.

"Nope~ More like both me, Sig and Fer's mutual acquaintance. After escorting Ren-chan's home yesterday, the three of us met with her and talked about the possibilities of renting or buying a house. That's why today we're going to see some house candidates~"

Sig-san knocked on the door and called for some guy named Ari. 

Maybe Ari-san was the name of the realtor ? 

A loud thumping of feet running toward the door could be heard before the door opened with a slam.

"Yes yes yes!~ I'm here!~ Goooood morning Sigun~~ Chris-tan and Fer-kyun good morning to you as wellllll~ Ahhh, perhaps.. Is that the kid you guys talked about yesterday?? Your fiance?? Ahhh, isn't he like, super cute?? Hey there cutie!~ I'm the owner of this shop, Alicia!~ Please call me Ali~~" 

A boisterous women appeared, introducing herself as Alicia. 

She was a little bit taller than me, making her pet.i.te judging by Alsar's standard. 

Her long, curly brown hair was tied in high pigtails like those n.o.ble lady you often saw in the novel. 

She was wearing a fluffy, frilly clothes which can only be described with one word, cute. 

Not only her clothes were cute, she also called Fer-san and the other with a cute nickname as well. 

Ah, certainly she was a memorable person for sure. 

In only a few seconds I met her, she instantly lifted the tension easily. 

Though if I may be honest, she was a little too overwhelming for me. 

"E-eh.. Ah.. Well.. I'm Ren.. Err.. Ari-san."

Each time Ari-san talked, her brown wings swinging excitedly along with her.

"I'm not a boy though.. I may not look like it but I'm already 21.." I explained.

I tilted my head in confusion, still trying to understand Ari-san's words.

"…….. Ren-chan, Ari.. She may look like this but she's older than us. Her appearance never changed since we were little, she's truly a frightening person."

I unintentionally let out a loud voice when I heard that. 

"Ah! Chris-tan, don't tell him thattt!~ A women always need a few secret up her sleeve you know!" Ari-san said with a puffed up cheek. 

No matter how I saw her, I couldn't believe she was older than us.. 

Women were scary indeed.. 

"That's true. Ari, you said you want to show us something good, right?" 

"As always Fer-kyun is verrrry composed and cool! Who do you think I am? As the only real estate agency in Pedrell, looking for house that fulfill your requirement is superrr easy for me!~ I have 3 house and 2 plot of land for you guys to look for today!~" 

"Can we really look at them all today?" Fer-san asked. 

"Why of courseeee~~" 

If I wasn't wrong, Pedrell was 20km in diameter, it was by no means a small town at all. 

And yet, could we really able to see all the houses by today? 

"Then~ Let's off we go to the nearest house, okay?~ After that we will go by using stagecoach!~" 

Ari-san said as she suddenly stormed off without waiting for us.

"She's just like a typhoon.." I said, dumbfounded.

"Hahahaha… You can say that again. She's very energetic for sure. Well, let's go Ren!" Sig-san said as he slapped my back, urging me to start walking. 

I saw Ari-san turned her back when she realized we haven't caught up to her. 

She waved her hand enthusiastically but for some reason, not only her hand but her whole body was shaking along as well.
