Chapter 2146 The Dashavatara (Kurma, Varaha) -Part 14

When the Giant War Tortoises released their powers, their sh.e.l.ls opened and energy beams were released within the vicinity. The surrounding area was utterly destroyed, leaving nothing in its wake. But through the dust and smoke, the Blade Mages appeared swiftly to send slashes and pierces of energy into the crevices of the Giant War Tortoises' Sh.e.l.ls.

If that was not sufficient to inflict damage onto it, a few of them relied on the speed and momentum of their 5DM Gear to temporarily surpa.s.s the limits of the sound barrier and stabbed through their sh.e.l.ls. Along with that was the transfer of magical power from their body, into their blades and eventually into the War Giant Tortoises.

Of course, that so called transfer was not a smooth relaxing process. The violent burst of magic combined with the aid of the anti Celestial compound had caused the toughest of sh.e.l.ls to crack.

It was as if the anti Celestial compound was the miraculous all in one solution that Jin had been finding all this time. It worked perfectly well against the Celestials and the War Tortoises were repeatedly put down before their multiple lives were burnt into nothingness.

That included the Giant War Boars at the frontlines of Ress. The Blade Mages that entered the fray zoomed underneath the War Boars to cut their underbellies and their tendons. This causes them to be immobilised and lose blood rapidly.

However, all of the Blade Mages at that moment had temporarily forgotten that the Celestials were monstrous beings too. Their Is.h.i.+ms should have been a reminder for them but because the Dashavatara were so strong that it portrayed the clean images of enemies, the Blade Mages had forgotten the Celestials were capable of producing beings and monsters worthy to be considered as cosmic horrors too.

The broken sh.e.l.ls of the tortoises suddenly emerge a fusion of white celestial energy mixed with blood, creating magical hands that were oozing with blood. They became the defensive and offensive abilities of the Giant War Tortoises that had been used to ward off the Blade Mages.

The term ward off was used instead of killing mainly because most of the Giant War Tortoises were repeatedly killed by the nimble and strong Blade Mages that defied explanation even though Kurma wanted to use these War Tortoises for close combat purposes.

As those white red fused mage hands emerged out of the sh.e.l.ls, the Blade Mages actually saw that they were actually holding onto smaller War Tortoises and threw them towards the Blade Mages as if it was some baseball. The damage incurred by this 'trick' was enormous considering how those War Tortoises thrown did not end the moment they attempted to hit the target.

Like a yoyo, they returned to the grasp of the magical bloodied hands and threw again.

If Ress used coordination to create a solid defence plan to protect themselves, then Avatar Kurma believed that Chaos was the answer to destroying this coordination. However, no matter how much he tried, the home team was able to continuously meet the chaotic changes on the go.

Regardless of the gap he was able to create with the Giant War Tortoises, both the Blade Mages and Rifle Mages would continuously bridge the gap and protect the frontline from being penetrated.

The same goes for Varaha's Giant War Boars. Even as the Blade Mages opened the underbelly of the Giant War Boars, it felt like a blot mixed with blood and organs dropped and they were delighted to create such destruction. However, the minute those mixed blots of flesh touched the ground, abominations of boar looking creatures emerged from it.

They snorted like boars and started to rush toward the enemy, splitting out whenever possible to destroy every single defensive installation it could find. Even as the Blade Mages attempted to slash them, they seemed immune to the slashes as the fleshed out parts merged together once more.

However, with the Anti Celestial Compound coating, those abomination looking boars would also die but it seemed like it took a longer time for it to work. Perhaps, Varaha had inherently changed the anatomy of these abominations so that they could last against the poison even longer.

In the meantime, despite the immobilsation caused by the Blade Mages, the Giant War Boars slammed the tusks down to the ground, causing the ground to split open breaking the defensive walls, tearing apart the defences better than the Giant War Tortoises.

Still, the Rifle Mages were able to handle the Giant War Boars by blasting them to kingdom come even though it was not necessary to do so since they would eventually die as well. Still, the sooner they stopped them, the faster they could recover from the scenario. With the ground battle skewed towards Varaha's War Boars, Krishna had decided to pull a few strings by empowering them.

Those War Boars eventually turned into War Boarmen and they charged forward with weapons magically appearing right in front of them. Krishna once again aided them by opening his hidden treasure trove of weapons, enabling the War Boarmen to be sufficiently equipped for the brawl.

Soon, the clash between the War Boarmen and the Blade Mages erupted and the battlefield in Ress was more chaotic than the one at Lyro's Sea Fortress. Fortunately, Kurma was not the only one fighting against the Sea Hunters as Narasimha, the Man Lion t.i.tled to be the Dashavatara's fiercest Protector to date.

Similar to Kalki and Parashuma, Narasimha was a Celestial Avatar that did not have any army beneath him and with him around, Kurma had nothing to be afraid of as he continued to focus on tras.h.i.+ng the Sea Fortress down.

The remaining cannons and artillery guns had also stopped firing because of the presence of Narasimha as one use of his Brahmastra Bow was more than sufficient to break all of them down. Although protocol stated that the Sea Hunters had to fight toe to toe with them, things were a little different after sufficient time had pa.s.sed.

Continue your journey with empire

The Demonic Sea Octopus had finally finished eliminating and absorbing all of the fishmen under the sea. He decided to emerge to above sea level to play.
