Chapter 16 Xu Moqi was Angry Ji Xiaotiao didn’t care about the red fingerprint on her face. After school, she stealthily returned to Xu Moqi’s dormitory. Fortunately, there were not many people in the senior dormitory area where Xu Moqi lived. Otherwise, she would have suffered every day. It was really uncomfortable to come home in such a sneaky way every day! Opening the dormitory door with the key, she naturally went to the kitchen and started preparing dinner for the evening. So when Xu Moqi returned, the bowls and chopsticks were already on the table. “Xu Moqi, go get washed up for dinner!” Ji Xiaotiao stepped out from the kitchen with a bowl of soup. After putting it down quickly, she immediately went to touch her ears. “Ah! It’s too hot! It’s too hot! “ Xu Moqi was amused by her movements and automatically reached out to rub her head. “Stupid girl! You do know that heat-resistant gloves exist, right? How could you be so stupid?!” Ji Xiaotiao raised her head innocently. “It’s too much trouble. What’s more, it was such a short distant, so I thought I could carry it right away.” Hearing Ji Xiaotiao’s reb.u.t.tal, Xu Moqi’s eyebrows raised unconsciously and he wanted to put her words back. But when he lowered his head and glanced at the red fingerprint on her left cheek, his expression changed instantly. “Stupid girl! What’s wrong with your left cheek?” Ah! Ji Xiaotiao put her hands to her left cheek and equivocated for a long time. “Uh. . . This is because I accidentally fell down and hit a tree. . . Hha, that's what happened. I know my face is swollen, and it’s ugly now. So can you stop laughing at me!” Xu Moqi frowned and removed Ji Xiaotiao’s hand. He looked closer at her cheek; it turned out to be a little swollen. What an obvious mark of being beaten. How could she even say she hit a tree? Sure enough, all excuses idiots came up with were idiotic! “Ah! Please stop watching! Hurry up and wash your hands for dinner!” Ji Xiaotiao wanted to break away from Xu Moqi’s hand, but he grasped her tightly. “Ji Xiaotiao! I will give you a chance to tell the truth! If you try to fool me with another idiotic excuse, I can’t be blamed for any special methods I might use!” What?! How could he do that? Ji Xiaotiao pouted in anger. Of course, she had been taught his “special methods.” In fact, it was an abnormal pleasure of the young man. For example, he ate his meal and drank his soup contentedly. He ate the table delicacies from land and sea, but let Ji Xiaotiao eat turnip vegetables. He just watched her, swallowing all the time, and did not give her any of the delicious food. For example, the Korean drama she had been looking forward to had finally reached a sad conclusion. Just when she was moved and had burst into tears, the young man suddenly unplugged the power supply. And so on! Anyway, every time Ji Xiaotiao made mistakes or did stupid things, Xu Moqi would use these methods against her. He even euphemistically called them “special methods”! “Uh. . . It’s really nothing. It’s . . . It’s just from hitting a tree. . . ” Ji Xiaotiao was grabbed by Xu Moqi and could not break away from his hands. She touched the back of her head with her hand and looked away. Lying was the last thing she was good at. She couldn't face the kind of embarra.s.sment of her lies being uncovered. Even if she had two brains now, she could not think of any excuse with which to deceive him. Xu Moqi really had a pair of sharp eyes. . . It was possible that there was nothing in the world that could deceive him. “It’s just what?” Xu Moqi’s voice was cold. “Hitting a tree? Ha! Ji Xiaotiao! Can you find an appropriate reason to deceive me? Have you ever heard of someone hitting her face against a tree? Shouldn’t it be the head or the nose? Or did you have rhinoplasty? Since your nose can’t get hit, you just put your head down and smashed your ugly face against the tree, is that it?” “No! Absolutely not!” Ji Xiaotiao roared back. That was ridiculous! She hadn’t had an operation! “Then give me a reasonable explanation! I’ve really gained a lot of knowledge today. It’s the first time I’ve ever seen someone fall and hit her face against a tree!” Xu Moqi spoke poisonous words again. He had been sneering and making Ji Xiaotiao speechless. The girl, who felt wronged in her heart, suddenly batted her eyes. Tears poured from them without struggle. This sudden change made Xu Moqi, who was originally full of poisonous words and arrogance, look puzzled and bewildered. “. . . Hey. . . Why are you crying? I’m not the tree that hit you in the face. . . ” Ha! Ji Xiaotiao, who was going to cry loudly, was amused by Xu Moqi's words. She gave him a thump and pouted, saying, “I didn’t say you were a tree! I just think it is ridiculous. Who did I provoke? It was for no reason that I got in trouble with you and had to move in with you. It was for no reason that I was laughed at and beaten by Qianhui and Moli every day! But I didn’t do anything. I don’t know how my hair got tied up with your b.u.t.tons! I don’t know why Qianhui and Moli can’t get along with me all day. Now I’m hungry and want to eat, but you have to talk with me about the tree! What on earth do you want from me?” Xu Moqi settled his mind and finally found the key point in Ji Xiaotiao’s long series of conversations. It was because of Qianhui and Moli. It turned out that she was beaten. This stupid girl! Why did she make an excuse for them? “All right, all right! Stop crying. It’s okay! Let’s eat!” Xu Moqi touched Ji Xiaotiao’s back stiffly and comforted her clumsily. A trace of fierceness that was out of keeping with his age flashed through his eyes. Although the stupid girl was a little silly, no one could bully her while she was still in his grip! He didn’t want to have much to do with Ji Xiaotiao. But inexplicably, he could not bear seeing her wronged expression. Things in the world were hard to predict. It seemed necessary for him to go to Yinghua. . . .
