In the bar, Zheng Weiqian pushed the gla.s.s towards the bartender, “Another round.”

Zheng Weiqian downed cup after cup, his vision started to blur under the stimulus of alcohol. Fang Yan's “I don't care about your feelings” really hurt him.

When Lin Yifan arrived, Zheng Weiqian was already half-drunk. Lin Yifan didn't know what happened to him but he does know that he is in a bad mood. He sat down next to him and took the gla.s.s from Zheng Weiqian, “What happened.”

Zheng Weiqian turned around and saw Li Yifan sitting next to him. He smiled and took the gla.s.s back. Zheng Weiqian spoke to the bartender, “He'll have the same one.” Then the gla.s.s of alcohol and took another one from the bartender.

When Lin Yifan took the gla.s.s away from him, he said, “Stop drinking, tell me what exactly happened.”

Zheng Weiqian took the gla.s.s back, using one hand to lift it up and the other to push Lin Yifan away. He shook his head and said, “Don't mind me.”

Li Yifan stopped taking it away from him and stopped asking him questions. He just sat there and watch him down cup after cup of alcohol. This is his first time seeing Zheng Weiqian like this. He usually had a strong sense of self-control, but this time he is out of control.

This is the first time in his twenty-eight years that Zheng Weiqian got drunk.

Zheng Weiqian leaned back against his chair and closed his eyes. He furrowed his brows and rubbed his temples. He still wasn't able to get over yesterday's hangover.

Shen Mulin opened the door and came in with a cup of hangover tea and softly called out, “Senior, drink some hangover tea, it will make you feel better.” This morning, she received a call from Li Yifan that senior drank a lot last night. He wants her to make some hangover tea to ease the pain and also hoped that she could pry out what happened to him yesterday.

“Thank you.” Zheng Weiqian took the tea and drank it.

Shen Mulin didn't immediately leave however and stood in front of Zheng Weiqian, debating whether or not she should ask him.

When Zheng Weiqian saw her standing there looking to be having an internal argument, he asked, “Is there anything else?”

“You seldom get drunk.” As a friend, Shen Mulin felt it necessary for her to worry.

“If you have something to ask then ask.” He knows that they are worried about him.

Seeing that he took the initiative to say it, Shen Mulin bluntly asked, “What happened yesterday?”

After a while, Zheng Weiqian shook his head, “Nothing.” It's just that someone doesn't care about his feelings.

“I don't know much but maybe I can give you some friendly advice.” Shen Mulin sincerely said.

Zheng Weiqian didn't answer but was focused on his thoughts. Just as Shen Mulin was about to give up and leave, he suddenly said, “Why would someone just change out of the blue?” He still doesn't think that Fang Yan doesn't feel anything for him.

“Everything has a reason, no one would change for no reason. Maybe you misunderstood or she misunderstood something.” She thinks she knows why he was drunk, “Find her to talk, maybe everything is not what it seems.”

Find her to talk again? Zheng Weiqian thought about what Shen Mulin said. Maybe he should not give up so soon.

Before getting off work, Fang Yan packed up all the files on her table and turned off the computer, ready to go home and take a bath and get a good night's sleep. These past few days, she wasn't able to sleep well.

“This is not within the scope of work. If I have time I will go myself.” Fang Yan rejected.

“I'll see you in the parking lot in five minutes.” Zheng Weiqian didn't care what she said.

“I didn't say I want to go and I also don't want you to take me back.” Fang Yan whispered harshly. If others heard that it was the president, it would lead to all kinds of misunderstanding.

“Then I'll wait for you outside your office to pick you up.”

“You…..you don't think this type of game is boring?” Fang Yan angrily asked, but because she is still in the office so she can't scold him loudly.

“It doesn't matter if it's boring, what matters is the results. So what's your decision, do you want me to pick you up or do you want to wait for me in the parking lot?”

Fang Yan gritted her teeth, “I'll wait for you in the parking lot.”

After getting the answer he wanted, Zheng Weiqian didn't say anymore and hung up.

During dinner, Fang Yan and Zheng Weiqian didn't have much of a conversation and just ate their own meal. Even the Zheng couple and Old Madame Zheng noticed their strangeness. After eating some fruits and talking for a while, Fang Yan decided that it was the right time to bid Old Madame Zheng farewell and leave.

“Granny, I'll look for you again another time.” Fang Yan smiled and said.

“You have to leave ah!” Old Madame Zheng looked at the clock hanging in the living room and noticed that it is already really late, “Why don't Weiqian send you home.”

“No need, no need. I'll just take the taxi home, it'll be more convenient.” Fang Yan quickly refused. If she let him take her home, it will be even more awkward.

“It's fine, just let Weiqian take you home. Besides, he was the one who brought you here, so he was supposed to take you back as well.” Zheng Haiying smiled, hoping to create an opportunity for her son.

When the car stopped at her neighborhood, Fang Yan turned to thank him, “Thank you for sending me home, goodbye.” However, she couldn't open the car door. She turned to look at him confused as to why he locked the door.

Zheng Weiqian stared straight ahead and didn't look at her. Fang Yan finally understood what is going on and no longer asked. She just sat there and stared out the window. The two sat there quietly. After a long period, Zheng Weiqian faintly sighed and asked, “Why are you keeping a distance from me?”

“Yes ah, I am just distinguis.h.i.+ng our relations.h.i.+p.” Fang Yan answered.

“Then what is the relations.h.i.+p between us?” Zheng Weiqian stared at her and asked.

Fang Yan disregard him and said, “Boss and subordinate.”

“Only boss and subordinate?” Zheng Weiqian's eyes were burning. He is almost angered to death by this d.a.m.n woman.

“Then what other relations.h.i.+p do we have?” Fang Yan turned and asked.

Zheng Weiqian looked at her as if to look deep into her heart. Suddenly, his warm lips pressed onto her. Fang Yan's eyes widened in astonishment, matching his cold eyes. Taking advantage of when she was stunned, Zheng Weiqian seized her tongue. Fang Yan's reaction was to push him away, but he only held on tighter and kissed her deeper.

Fang Yan felt her body tremble, her mind blank. An unfamiliar flaming sensation rose from the soles of her feet and sprawled widely to her limbs. She helplessly closed her eyes and listened to her thumping heartbeat.

After an unknown amount of time, Zheng Weiqian released her hot lips and s.h.i.+ft her body to its original position. Due to the lack of oxygen, Fang Yan continued to gasp for breath. Zheng Weiqian isn't far better. His cheeks are red and his chest is heavily heaving up and down.

After he calmed down, Zheng Weiqian hugged her again and said into her ears, “I thought we were in this type of relations.h.i.+p.”

Fang Yan's breath hasn't recovered and she panted, “Is-isn't this type of relations.h.i.+p a bit too much?”

Zheng Weiqian suddenly thought of something and looked at her and seriously said, “There is no one else, only you.”

“Then what about Lin Xuanxuan?” Fang Yan asked.

“I only see her as my little sister.”
