Although not everyone in the school was able to watch that day's compet.i.tion in person, still in each grade level there were one or two cla.s.ses who managed to see the Physical Education Cla.s.s. As a result, even before cla.s.ses were dismissed, someone had already anonymously uploaded the video on the campus forum. Thus in a short amount of time, this matter had stirred up the entire school; on that same day, during their afternoon recess, everyone was idly chatting about this. Saying how incapable Jiang Hui is and how heroic Xie Fei was.

Along with that, they also talked about Xie Fei's sudden comeback and his defying-the-norms exam results that let him directly seize first place for their grade level, and Su Yin, whom the rumors had proclaimed as "the woman who supports the king from behind.'

Meanwhile, Jiang Hui became more quiet and gloomy, his whole persona completely different from his previous prideful and cheerful self. No matter what place or what time, he would be seen carrying an exercise booklet and skimming through the problems; he looked as if he had been overcome by a monster calling itself crazy obsession.

Then he began to distance himself from Wei Xiaoqin; he would frequently avoid talking and being around her.

The details around this incident were all observed by Wei Xiaoqin. This dispirited Jiang Hui made her feel very distressed. She did not know how to comfort him or talk to him. Day by day, her heart became more anxious. She feared that Jiang Hui could not take this set back and would totally collapse in the future.

She thought that since Jiang Hui currently is her boyfriend, then in the future he would also be her husband. Thus, no matter the cost, she ought to a.s.sist him in breaking away from his current plight and revert him back to the old Jiang Hiu, that always smiled, and was gentle and considerate to others.

Eventually, one afternoon, she pulled Jiang Hui into the school's little forest. He remained quiet as he lowered his head when she looked at him; he looked as if the living life had been drained out from him. Her heart was twisted in pain; she found it difficult to look at his current self. Without hiding her anxiousness, she said, "Jiang Hui, what is going on with you? This does not resemble even a bit of the Jiang Hui that I know. I am really worried about you as your girlfriend. The things you can't say to anyone, can you maybe tell me? Let me help you take care of your burden. I don't want to think nor see you suffer..."

Jiang Hui looked stunned for a while. Slowly lifting his head, his eyes were so deep that no one would be able to guess what he was thinking. He looked attentively at Wei Xiaoqin's eyes as he raised an eyebrow and sneered, "You? Help me? Could you really help me with anything… Could you betray your friend just to help me? If not then you can't help me."

Wei Xiao Qins eyes blinked, her heart was franetic. Betray my friend?

Suddenly, she remembered Su Yin's appearance. Su Yin is her only friend. Could she, for the sake of helping Jiang Hui, betray her?

No, she could not do such a thing. Su Yin is her only friend...

"No, I can't." She said after thinking for a while. Jiang Hiu then coldly sneered, "I already know."

Wei Xiaoqin raised her head, just in time to catch the sight of Jiang Hui's all-too-familiar handsome face with traces of mockery and disdain in the corner of his eyes.

Looking at Jiang Hui's current appearance, without even being fully aware of it, Wei Xiaoqin's heart hesitated. If she thought about it carefully, even from the start, Su Yin clearly knew that Jiang Hui was her boyfriend, yet she still let Xie Fei torture him until he turn into this mess. In the end, the couple became the most popular lovers in their entire school just by stepping on her and Jiang Hiu's face.

Su Yin would not have done all of this if she had considered her as a friend. It seems that after that accident a long time ago, she had already stopped caring about her. Now, after meeting Xie Fei, she only cared about flirting with him and living a most happy of lifes!

Meanwhile she and Jiang Hui had to painfully struggle and be subjected to everyone's criticism?

No, she had enough people pointing fingers at her. She did not want to finish senior high school while living such a life. Wei Xiaoqin did not want to be outdone by some female student from a common family background either.

Jiang Hui was startled and was at a loss for words; he looked shockingly at her, then he immediately turned happy as he pulled on Wei Xiaoqin's hands and put her into a tight hug. One of his hands was softly fondling her hair as he softly said, "I knew that... Only you, my Xiaoqin loves me the most. Thank you."

Wei Xiaoqin leaned on his shoulder before she softly shook her head, "Don't mention it. You are my boyfriend, it is only natural for me to support you. You clearly understand my good intentions. I only ask for you to stop ignoring me."

Jiang Hui sighed deeply before saying, "I wasn't ignoring you. You are the person I love the most, how could I ignore you? It is just that I am ashamed to look at you, after all I let you suffer through because of me."

"The person you love the most... Is me?" A glistening tear dropped from the corner of Wei Xiaoqin's eyes. This time she truly felt happy, before once more asking in a worried voice, "Then why did you and Xie Fei compete? Is it not because of Su Yin?"

"Why would it have been for her? Obviously it was for you, ah you little fool. "Jiang Hui forced a smile before continuing, "Su Yin is your friend, when I noticed that she couldn't play, obviously I went forward to help her out. I just didn't expect that by doing so I would get into so much trouble. Not only did I lose my reputation, I made you not be able to lift your head and together with me, become everyone's laughing stock. So I can only do my best to try solving my exam questions in hope to beat Xie Fei. It is just a pity that I am so useless!"

Jiang Hui stopped for a while, before continuing again, "This is all because of me. This is all my fault. At that time, I shouldn't have—"

"No, this matter is not because of you, nor is this your fault!" Wei Xiaoqin tightly hugged Jiang Hui as she urgently comforted him. Biting her bottom lip, her voice became fierce as she continued, "You had good intentions, it is just that they bite the hand that feeds them. Xie Fei and Su Yin, these two cheap people had made us into objects that everyone ridicules!"

The corner of Jiang Hui's mouth slowly curved upwards, forming a strange smile. This woman is really easy to deceive. Just a cheap trick and she is already very obedient and easy to fool. Truly so stupid.
