The two men were now fighting without thinking. They seemed to not hear Yun Muxi and continued to throw punches and kick at each other. Mou Yichen took advantage of good timing and did a side-kick, which landed on Gong Yu's heart. A suffocating pain started to form instantly but Gong Yu did not stop. Enduring the intense pain, he continued to dodge Mou Yichen's attacks. Initially, Mou Yichen was able to take his attacks easily, but soon he realized Gong Yu had some skills. Gong Yu was quick and flexible, he had many big moves and they were all spot on. He was not an easy opponent.

Mou Yichen was out of it for a moment and Gong Yu sent him stumbling backward with a continuous kick. Eventually, Mou Yichen could not hold it in anymore and fell backward.

Watching the whole scene unfold, Yun Muxi ran forward and held onto Gong Yu, pulling him backward with all her strength. She scolded him sternly, "Gong Yu, you're going overboard. How could you beat him up like that?"

Afterward, Yun Muxi ran to Mou Yichen and knelt down to lift him up. She asked him worriedly, "How are you? Is it serious? Can you move and try to stand up on your own?"

On the second morning, Tong Nan tied a neat ponytail. She put on a simple white T-s.h.i.+rt and a jean jacket. She paired them with a pair of ripped jeans and flat canvas shoes. Her makeup was light yet delicate and she carried a black leather backpack while holding onto a plastic bag in her hand. She gave off a refres.h.i.+ng and energetic vibe as she stood downstairs.

Tong Nan shouted to herself, "Tong Nan, you can do it!"

Her energetic voice and vibrant smile made her look like a revived elf, and pa.s.serbys could not help but stare at her. Tong Nan hurriedly follow behind the person who was staring at her just now and entered the apartment building.

Humming to a little tune, she took the lift and arrived at the 25th floor. She headed straight to Gong Yu's house. Just as she was about to press the doorbell, she realised that it was not closed entirely. Confused, she pushed the door gently and stuck her head inside. She called out softly, "Gong Yu? Gong Yu are you at home?"

She was answered with silence. Hesitantly, Tong Nan walked in. When she walked into the living room, she saw Gong Yu lying silently by the sofa. His face was extremely pale, like a piece of paper. His lips were purple and his eyes were shut tight. He looked lifeless.

Tong Nan was fl.u.s.tered. She threw away the plastic bag immediately and ran up to him. She shook him and called, "Gong Yu, Gong Yu? Wake up!"

Gong Yu did not show any response. Tong Nan placed her finger gently under his nose to check for his breathing. She was slightly relieved when she felt his weak breathing. Tong Nan was not going to take any chances; she quickly dialed 120.

After the call, Tong Nan was still terrified. She sat by Gong Yu and bawled. The ambulance arrived very quickly and Tong Nan accompanied them to the hospital.

Tong Nan waited anxiously outside the shut doors of the operation theatre. She had no idea what was happening inside.

Seventh Brother arrived at the hospital very quickly. Glancing at Tong Nan, he was confused. "You sent him here?"

Tong Nan nodded her head and answered nervously, "Yes! I was going to send him breakfast this morning and I realized his door was unlocked. When I went in, I saw him lying on the floor beside the sofa. His face was very pale and his lips were purple. I was terrified, I thought he was dead and when I realized he was still breathing, I quickly dialed 120."

Seventh Brother hesitated before answering, "You and Gong Yu are...?"

Tong Nan had collected information about Gong Yu, so she knew that Seventh Brother was his manager. She did not hide anything from him and answered plainly, "I am Sister Xiao Xi's friend, my name is Tong Nana, I like Gong Yu and I plan to chase him."

Seventh Brother was taken aback by her straightforwardness. He continued, "You know, Gong Yu is a celebrity, news about him in the hospital cannot spread to the public."

Tong Nan nodded. "Seventh Brother, how is Gong Yu? Why did he become like that so suddenly? He won't die, right?"

Seventh Brother looked towards the operation theatre's door with a disappointed look. He explained, "Gong Yu has a history of heart attack, it might have happened again. We should wait for the doctors to tell us more details!"

After he finished his sentence, the doctors walked out and called, "Who is his relative?"

Seventh Brother and Tong Nan rushed up and Seventh Brother said, "I am, doctor, how is he?"

The doctor stared at him and reprimanded, "You guys are too careless! His heart is already externally injured. It should be an external injury that caused heart pain. Very quickly, Gong Yu was sent to a ward. Seventh Brother and Tong Nan entered the room quietly and saw the pale Gong Yu lying on the bed, deep in sleep. His face was as pale as a piece of paper, camouflaging with the white bed sheets. He looked very pitiful.

Seventh Brother walked up to him and sat down by his bed. He lifted his head and saw that Tong Nan was still standing at the door. He spoke in a soft voice. "Miss Tong, if you have nothing else, you can go first. I'll stay here and take care of him. Thanks for today! I'll treat you to a meal next time."

Tong Nan snapped out of her gaze and rejected swiftly, "I'm not going back, I want to stay and take care of Gong Yu."

Then, without caring for Seventh Brother's approval, she walked to the other side of the bed and sat down.

Seventh Brother cast a deep glance at her and then called Zhao Yi to take the day off.

After ending the call, Seventh Brother picked up the water bottle and said softly, "Miss Tong, please help me to look after him for a while, I'll go fetch some hot water."

Tong Nan smiled. "No problem! Go quickly, Gong Yu is in safe hands!"

Tong Nan's joyful character caused Seventh Brother to look at her one more time. This girl was young, pretty and energetic, she was a happy pill. Seventh Brother answered in a deep voice fainty, "He had a heart attack, the doctor said that he suffered external injuries. He had collapsed at home yesterday night and was sent to the hospital this morning after we found him. He's not awake yet and we'll only know the details after he does."

Upon hearing "external injuries", Yun Muxi's heart shrank. External injuries? Could it be the fight with Mou Yichen? She tried very hard to recall every detail of last night and suddenly remembered that Mou Yichen had indeed landed a kick against Gong Yu's heart. Without waiting for Gong Yu's reply, Tong Nan fought to speak. "The doctor has been here to check on him, he said that there's nothing much to worry about. He'll need to rest for two days." Then, she continued to stare at Gong Yu's side profiled with loving gaze.

Seventh Brother nodded and said, "Then I'll go buy him some fruits and something to eat."

After he left, Tong Nan started to bombard Gong Yu with questions as an attempt to strike a conversation with this big iceberg...

Yu Muxi rushed to the hospital and found the ward based on information from Seventh Brother. Just as she was about to push the door and enter, she looked through the room's window and saw Tong Nan holding Gong Yu by his shoulder and feeding him water.
