Gong Yu's expression changed instantly when he heard her cry for help and ran towards the door. Niannian was shocked too. She still had traumas since the last time Yun Muxi was kidnapped. She followed Gong Yu immediately, crying and running at the same time.

After getting off the car, she was brought into the lift. The men in black pressed a b.u.t.ton directly. It seemed like a private lift, as there was no other floor and the b.u.t.ton did not show which level they were going to.

Yun Muxi was even more confused. Who were these people? Why did they bring her here?

The lift went up for a long time. It felt like they had reached the top floor when the door opened.

After stepping out of the lift, there was only one black door in the corridor. The whole corridor was designed in black and gray. The strong presence of metal gave off a cold vibe. With the white light s.h.i.+ning from above, there seemed to be no warmth at all.

The table top was clean and only contained a laptop and a framed photograph. It was accompanied by an office chair made in leather. It was back facing the main door, so Yun Muxi could not see who was sitting on it. The chair was facing a whole wall of floor-to-ceiling window. The room overlooked the best view of the whole city.

The man's voice was much gentler and did not sound as scary. "There is a stack of information on the small table, take a look."
