Her sight remained upon the unreadable man. He was gorgeous and reliable as he chatted people with confid—”I told you, we are going home!” Said Mo Yuan coldly as he blocked her sight.

“Dad…You can go home, I’ll stay. Just leave a driver here for me. On second thought, maybe not, take the driver with you. I can go home myself just fine.” Mo Shan already had a plot in mind.

There would be no private driver from the Mo family and Huo Yunting would be too drunk to drive her home so she could, at the very least, stay at the Huo family’s mansion.

Mo Yuan certainly understood the blatant effort of his daughter but he was still unhappy with that bad experience he had with Huo Yunting where he humiliated his sweetheart in front of everybody. The incident even reached him on every single dinner date with socialites around him. They would ask him what had happened between the man and his daughter, as if they would tease him with an ugly scandal. It would get worse if the world knew his daughter “infiltrated” the man’s mansion just to get him.

“The second master has returned. They are having a reunion tonight and what makes you think you should be there? Come home with me this instant!” Mo Yuan peered at her, “We are in public now. Do you really want me to call men to carry you home instead?”

Mo Shan lifted her lips yet not a word was uttered. She placed the gla.s.s down and unwillingly tailed after her father.

The noises gradually subsided as the audience shrunk, as the dinner was coming to an end.

Lu picked a quiet spot to sit down at the venue, as she watched the fellow drunken guests leaving in joyful screams. Her hope sank deeper from time to time, knowing that Chen would soon know her relations.h.i.+p with Madam Xue.

Madam Xue first married to his nominal elder brother, thus Lu became his niece-in-law. Within the few years, she had formed an epicly complicated relations.h.i.+p with Chen. It was undoubtedly stressful for her as fate was capricious, writing a script that sounded painfully ironic to her.

As what Huo Yunting had told before, their relations.h.i.+p had gotten more complicated over time.

“You shouldn’t be drinking that much, dear. You hardly ate anything just now and you must have your dinner now with us.” Madam Xue was not convinced. Seeing Lu’s rosy, heated cheeks, she sat beside her.

Chen saw the interaction somewhere from the side, while still recovering from the astonishment he got upon seeing the intimacy between them. Both Madam Xue and Yang apparently looked … pretty close…

They look alike.

Could it be? Xue Yuming and Yang are mother and daughter?!

It was truly shocking, for he never imagined his girlfriend becoming his nominal niece by then.

Shock soon brewed into complication but his expression remained still, and his heart remained the same.

No matter what Lu Zhaoyang had become, he still would only love her, and he would never give up on her. He might be willful, even self-centered sometimes but there was one particular person whose opinions mattered, Lu.

10 minutes later, dinner was served as the family joined the table one after another.

It might be a busy function but Huo Zhenning was rather pumped and looked overjoyed despite his fatigue and hunger.

It was not only because the return of his brother from heaven, but also because the fact that his beloved son had returned. As long as his son made the effort to return, it would always only be a matter of time till they reconciled.
