Mo Shan closed her eyes in despair. She quietly clenched her fist and punched his arm.

The man saw her before she hit him but did not try to avoid the attack.

“So now you’re hitting me? Very good!” He let go of her chin and stood up to see the owner of the establishment running hastily toward him through the crowd.

“Boss, your girl here hit me. How are you going to compensate me? Everyone here saw it happen!”

“I didn’t!” Mo Shan quickly shook her head. “It was him, he humiliated me!”

“You didn’t? First it was a slap, and then a punch on my arm. Do you think everyone here is blind?” The man put his cash back into his pocket. “I don’t want a fuss. Just pay me a few grand and I will consider this settled!”

Mo Shan did not even have any spare change. The only cash she had was from selling her jewellery, but even that money was almost gone too.

How on earth could she pay him a few grand?

Mo Shan stood up panickedly and nearly fell again.

The boss grinned widely at his customer and said, “Of course you’ll be compensated! Don’t be mad, please find yourself a room upstairs and I will get a few ladies just for you, all on the house!”

“You will do your job properly, but waitressing would be a waste of your qualities.” The owner looked her up and down and asked suggestively, “What do you think?”

The hint was obvious enough.

The owner laughed coldly. “Nothing to say? Then scram. It’s your first day at work and already I lost a few grands because of you. You will pay for the customer’s expenses tonight in his private room. Go and sign the papers for your debt. Pay me back within the week, or I will make things worse for you!”
