When she noticed Huo Yunting’s arching eyebrows and sinister smile on his lips, Lu Zhaoyang had the feeling that she had walked into a wolf’s lair.

She cringed despisingly as Huo Yunting tried to touch her. “First things first; I can only stay in the country for a month, and I will bring along Xuxu to work. I cannot leave him alone at home. If you agree, I will start working tomorrow. I need a rest today.”

When Lu Zhaoyang retreated, he advanced and drew her into his arms. Her familiar body scent made him feel better. “Everything is negotiable as long as Secretary Lu is willing to come back to work,” Huo Yunting said.

“Knock it off. You don’t look like a person who would say good things about others.” Lu Zhaoyang shot him a glance, walked to the desk and looked at the piles of doc.u.ments. “Be honest with me, how long have you not been working?”

“You know that I am lazy. Things have since slowed down after you left.” Huo Yunting came up and tried to grab her from behind.

Lu Zhaoyang seemed to be aware of his intention. She picked up a file, turned around and read the doc.u.ments with the desk behind her. “What are you doing? Get back to work!”

“Are you ordering me?” Huo Yunting asked. He had not seen her for more than ten days, and now she was giving him the cold shoulder.

When he s.n.a.t.c.hed the file away, Lu Zhaoyang looked up. “Huo Yunting, there is a limit to my patience. I will walk out immediately if you do that again.”

“Oh, you are not only ordering but also threatening me,” Huo Yunting said, sensing that she had became more daring.

“So what? Don’t forget that I used to work for Xiang Jinxi; no one in Thunderbolt knows him better than I do. Please, don’t take your enemy lightly.” She grasped the file back from him. “Besides, can you fire the receptionist? Is Thunderbolt so short of people that you have to put such a bad egg at the desk just to ruin your corporate image?”

“Right away.” Now, Huo Yunting listened to her command. He picked up the phone and called the HR department. “You are still my secretary who does things at the speed of light.”

“I will only work for a month; not making a comeback.” Lu Zhaoyang stepped back to give him more room. “President Huo, get back to work.”

How Huo Yunting wished she could say something that pleased him. “What about we go for dinner tonight?” He tried to chance his arm.

“No, thanks!” Since she would be in the country for a month, staying in the hotel was not the solution. So, she planned to rent a house for the short-term.

“You have a kid with you. Come back and stay at the villa.” Huo Yunting did everything he could to keep her close to himself. “Don’t tell me that your three-year-old son needs to sleep with you.” He did not like the idea of spoiling the child. Moreover, he wanted his wife to sleep with him.

“You got it right.” Lu Zhaoyang deliberately rubbed Huo Yunting the wrong way. Xuxu had been sleeping on his own since long ago.

“Men must be independent.” Huo Yunting suddenly blurted out, but he did not know why he wanted to say this. There was no denying that he liked the child. Unfortunately, Huo Xu was not his child, he thought.
