He said as he strode up on the stage. He grabbed the microphone from the deputy head judge and said, “We’ve made a mistake in the result. The winner is Singer Number 6, Tang Tang!”

All the audiences went speechless. They couldn’t believe that the head judge revised the result the deputy head judge had just given out.

However, the result now was more in line their expectation, and that was what they want, a justified result. Applause thundered in the place.

“I am the winner! I am the winner!” The little fellow was dancing with joy, and she kissed Qin Haodong several times on the neck. She said, “You’re a good dad! A good dad!”

w.a.n.g Jiani looked at Qin Haodong with surprise. She asked with disbelief, “How did you do that?”

The w.a.n.gs are in a total mess now because the first prize they had just won was canceled. w.a.n.g Guan immediately cried out. He thumped w.a.n.g Hongbing and asked, “You said I would definitely be the winner because I’m a w.a.n.g, then why it’s canceled?”

“Why did the d.a.m.n girl win the first prize? Is it because she’s better at singing than me?”

“Don’t worry, son. I’ll go check.” w.a.n.g Hongbing was also surprised that the judge he had bribed disappointed them. He walked to the judge’s seat in anger.

Later the deputy head judge went to the stage to announce the rankings of other players, w.a.n.g Guan fell from the first position to the second.

Ma Hong said, “You steal my son’s first prize, now apologize to him and promise that you won’t attend the contest tomorrow.”

The little fellow got courageous as soon as she was hugged in Qin Haodong’s arms. She yelled back emulatively. “I am the winner! You’re a bad singer!”

w.a.n.g Jiani said, “w.a.n.g Guan’s mother, you’re wrong. The kid won the prize because she was qualified. That’s the result given out by the judge. How can you blame others? You have no right to forbid her to attend the contest tomorrow.”

“Who the h.e.l.l are you?” Ma Hong asked as she acted like a shrew. She pointed w.a.n.g Jiani on her face and yelled, “We’ll call you ‘miss’ when we respect you, and if we don’t, you’ll be n.o.body before the w.a.n.gs. I can have you fired just by calling the princ.i.p.al.”

“How can you be like this? That’s not how a parent should be like!”

w.a.n.g Jiani was so angry that her face turned red. Her chest was undulating violently.

Ma Hong continued yelling arrogantly, “Young girl, I don’t need you to teach me how to be a parent. Now get out of my way or I’ll have you fired tomorrow.”

Qin Haodong waved his hand. He smiled and said, “No. I’m afraid that you don’t have enough money to pay the hospital later.”
