A metallic golem , Iron golem , to be exact , was a very wasteful creation . The golem creation magic gave the Golems a special ability , that is , to have bodies which can change shape .
What this meant was a golem can even look like a human and move it's limbs and all the other joints exactly like a human would .
The dungeon as well , when creating Golems , used that very magic . It can also be said that this was one of the few magics not developed through [Gifts] but through observing in [Dungeons] .
Everything comes with a price . The Golems created in the dungeon and by the magic were great at combat , but extremely wasteful . If they were able to kill an enemy , it was all well and good , but if they got killed first , there would not even be an opportunity to collect the materials .
Why?
Because these Golems directly 'Melted' when their cores were destroyed . If the base material was elastic , then it was all well , but in case of metals ... They completely became liquids and not only that , liquids so hot they seeped into the ground and formed ores .
There was once the legend of an area in the southern continent , where once an engineer fought with a mage . That engineer directly lost , because the mage used a single wide area attack which directly killed all of his Golems . To this day , in that area , there are huge clumps of ore made of the metals that were used in the Golems .
Leo remembered all this because even if Gerald told him nothing , Leo was too paranoid to even go in a dungeon which contains a stronger monster without any information . He at least read a few books on golem magic and weaknesses of different types of Golems . There was literally a book named ' 101 ways to kill any type of golem ' .
The boss floor in this dungeon was different , just like the other floors . Currently Leo was on train - 3 . To get to the boss floor , one needs to ' Get off ' the train onto a platform . That platform is the boss floor .
Leo stood in front of the gate of the train , simply staring at it . He knew there was the boss right behind this base and even knew he was in control of 2 elements that were the most effective against the iron golem , a golem made of iron . Fire and lightning magic were stronger than golem magic and metal magic , a branch of earth magic focused on magnetic and semi magnetic materials .
This was a fact . Fire and lightning , were almost twice as effective against monsters that had the attribute : Metal .
This , however , gave him no confidence . The very fact that the monster behind these 2 sliding doors was of high tier , even if basic , was a frightening thing .
Leo knew this , because he himself was reaching that point and had done sufficient research to know of the improvements to the body on reaching high tier . Though not as good as the one provided on reaching supreme tier , it was still a qualitative improvement of Mana circulating through a human's body .
And this , also applied to monsters . The Mana flowing through the body improved in quality . Look at it this way , Mana is like a liquid that slowly improves it's container . On reaching high tier , the container had a minor improvement . At supreme tier , the improvement was quite major .
He had felt it through his fight against Gerald . His claws , increased the toughness of his hands to an extreme degree . They made his hand as strong as a basic high tier hero's . Nevertheless , Gerald , who mainly focused on wind magic , easily beat him up . That man did not have much strength , but his body , the container , was much more powerful than Leo's . It was a simple matter for him to only use his fists for killing Leo , but Leo sensed his disdain . Even after having his basic strength reduced , that giant's fist strength was 80 attribute points .
Leo looked back at his sister , who was standing right behind him and smiled . Leah too smiled and nodded .
Leo took a deep breath and opened the door , by pus.h.i.+ng a b.u.t.ton right next to the gate .
He walked into the platform , which was unusually huge . This platform was square and had nothing else except a small mountain , the height of 5 meters , stood in it . This platform , at one time , was used as a waiting room , for those waiting for their trains or simply here to get some refreshments .
The floor was made of prismarine marble of different shades . It was , for some reason , looking the same as some of the patterns on the walls of the dungeons Leo has visited .
' Runes .' Leo thought to himself as he frowned . Runic language was extremely hard , and Leo , even with his slightly boosted intelligence , could not bear to look at it for a long time . He chuckled and looked at the mountain .
Leah , standing right behind him , ignited a flame on her hand with a lighter .
" Wake up ." Leo shouted " I want to battle ."
The mountain slightly shook , but did not react further . Leo transformed his hands into claws , as arcs of black lightning jumped across the length of one , while a dark flame danced around the other .
Leo raised his hands to the height of his chest as the arcs of lightning focused on his fist and the flame intensified . " I guess I'll have to wake it up then ." Leo muttered as he looked at the improved 'breaths' around his fists .
" Provide support . Focus on the core . It can be anywhere on it's body ." Leo gave a sidelong glance to Leah as he spoke . " Stay away , it's forceful attacks might be too much for you . It might even be highly resistant to magic , in which case , run away . "
Leah looked at him for some time before she nodded .
Leo looked back towards the mountain as he took in a deep , deep breath , to the extent of his stomach puffing up slightly . Then he breathed out , waves of dark flames that flooded towards the golem that rested in the middle of the platform .
