Ji Sijie curled her lips into a pleasant smile. Contrary to her expectations, Gu Yezhi had not pushed her away.
She knew that Gu Yezhi had a wife, but he never made it public. Hence, she thought that he did not like his wife very much.

This made her feel that she might be able to take the wife's place.

Filled with confidence, she boldly stretched her hand out to touch Gu Yezhi's shoulder, but a wave of terrible pain flooded the arm she was stretching.

“Ah… President Gu… President Gu, I was wrong!”Ji Sijie cried in pain.

“Yell!” Gu Yezhi's voice was as cold as ice.

“What?”

Ji Sijie was stunned. With a look of impatience, her eyes s.h.i.+fted to Gu Yezhi's; she was not sure whether she had understood his statement. But, regardless of his intention, she had no choice but to begin making unpleasant sounds.

Gu Yezhi's heart was filled with disgust. Even though he knew that Bai Qingyan would come in soon but he acted like he was pleased with Ji Sijie.

Bai Qingyan was led by Xue Yun to the Gu Yuezhi's chamber.

Gu Yezhi was sitting in the boss's chair. Currently, Gu Yezhi was still very young. He was 28 years old, with a handsome face. Even if it was as cold as ice, everyone who saw him would marvel at his handsome appearance, but they did not dare to approach him because of his indifference.

As Bai Qingyan looked at his handsome face, Bai Qingyan's eyes quickly turned red and were nearly in tears.

She still remembered Gu Yezhi's head had a hole, and his face was covered with blood.

Looking at Gu Yezhi's well-dressed appearance at the moment, Bai Qingyan really wanted to cry.

If anybody was asked to choose between Gu Hang or Gu Yezhi they would choose Gu Yezhi without any hesitation.

However, Bai Qingyan must have been blind in her past life to be unable to differentiate between Gu Hang and Gu Yezhi and foolish enough to choose Gu Hang

However, as soon as Bai Qingyan's teary eyes saw the seductive woman on Gu Yezhi's lap, she was stunned. Her hand was unable to take off the mask.
She was motionless as though she was struck by lightning.

Gu Yezhi heard her voice and turned his head. When he looked at her beautiful eyes and saw how tearful they were he clenched his hands tightly. His heart tightened and he almost pushed Ji Sijie away to hold Bai Qingyan and comfort her.

But Gu Yezhi did not move. He told himself in his heart " Her tears didn't flow for you even when you sacrificed yourself to save her. She wouldn't cry for you, don't repeat your mistake

Gu Yezhi suppressed the affection in his heart, just glanced at her and indifferently said,

“You came.”

Bai Qingyan's body seemed to be taken aback by his cold words and she felt like she was on the verge of collapse.  She could not help but take a step back. Who will explain to her what is happening?

She asked herself whether the man in front of her is truly Gu Yezhi or has some imposter taken  his place. (Is the man in front of me is Gu Yezhi?)
Why is he so cold to her?

In Gu Yezhi's opinion, Bai Qingyan seemed to have been hit hard and looked really miserable. Gu Yezhi almost stood up and to ask her what's wrong.

However, he restrained his emotions firmly, clenched his fist hard and tried to be as indifferent as possible.
He's not cheap!

Ji Sijie listened to Gu Yezhi's dialogue and turned her head towards Bai Qingyan with a defiant look on her face. Hearing the conversation between Gu Yezhi and his wife she realized that this wife was not favored by him at all

Ji Sijie was confident that she could take her position.

Bai Qingyan tried to observe what Gu Yezhi was thinking. But she could only see calmness within his eyes.

He was sitting with another woman on his lap right in front of her yet he was completely calm and relaxed!! He was doing it so blatantly she doubted whether this was real or just an illusion?

How did this happen?
