"Stop right there." Suddenly, the youth shouted. His cold aura was crazily pouring out from his body. w.a.n.g Feng was starting to find it extremely hard to breathe.
Fighting against an extremely huge force, w.a.n.g Feng asked, "Is there any other matter?"
"Although I don't know why you are rejecting this offer, I know it must be an opportunity that can bring you to even greater heights?"
"So what if that opportunity can propel me to great heights? My will is not dedicated to this area. Even if you force me to stay, can you control my heart?" w.a.n.g Feng laughed. He was not scared if the youth fought him.
"Alright. Since you are not willing to join the Dragon Spirit Squad, I will not force you." Suddenly, the youth became very aggressive and said: "Although the Dragon Spirit Squad is not kind, we don't just accept any kind of person. Since you don't want to join us, then I will not force you. Scram!"
"Alright. I'll leave." Feeling the pressure lessen on him, w.a.n.g Feng turned and left. He did not even have the thought of staying here.
Even though the Dragon Spirit Squad was a place where one could train rigorously, but he really did not have the thought to join. No matter how precious the opportunity was, he had not thought of joining.
"Failed?" Just when the youth turned very aggressive because of w.a.n.g Feng, another young man suddenly appeared and said faintly.
"Didn't expect that he did not have the dream of joining the Dragon Spirit Squad. Extremely frustrating." The youth spoke. His words choked w.a.n.g Feng.
"Hehe." Hearing his words, the young man smiled faintly, patted his shoulders and said, "The more he is like that, the more I like him. I don't care what method you use, but you must bring him to Dragon Spirit Squad. I will ask you directly for it." The young man spoke steadily.
But after hearing those words, the young man's face showed bitterness. If someone genuinely did not want to join the Dragon Spirit Squad, what could I possibly do?
However, he knew that his Eldest Brother's words when said could never be recalled. If he could not bring in w.a.n.g Feng, being broken in the legs would be a light sentence.
"Rest a.s.sured. I will try my best to keep him." The youth spoke with a firm voice.
"Alright. I have urgent matters to settle these two days back at home. So I'll put you in charge. In any case, I want to see the man." After speaking, the young man did not stay any further. It was as if he left in a split second. The speed was stunning.
"Hmph. I don't believe that sc.u.mbug can escape me." After his Eldest Brother left, the youth's face displayed a cold smile.
On the first and second days, w.a.n.g Feng definitively took the first place and dominated the entire scoreboard. However, the test on the third day left w.a.n.g Feng slightly speechless. This was because it was a mission in the mountain zone.
Using the words of the youth, if one could not survive till the end in the mountain zone, it would still be suicide even if one joined the Dragon Spirit Squad. This was because the mountain zone was exactly the s.h.i.+tty kind of place where the Dragon Spirit Squad fought.
They needed to withstand hunger and all kinds of unbearable conditions. Moreover, they had to complete a mission in the process. It was easy to imagine how difficult it was.
This time, they had to stay in the forest together for an entire week. During that week, they cannot leave the mountain zone nor could they seek a.s.sistance from the outside world. They could only do so if they wanted to withdraw from the test and thereby forfeit their chance to join the Dragon Spirit Squad.
Everyone was only given a portion of food every day. As for how they would spend their over the week, that was their own problem to solve.
Moreover, right before they leave, the young officer said they could use an extreme method. That included killing.
With such words, the hundred or so people were definitely shocked. They were all carefully guarding against the people around them. Even the people within the same army unit were guarding against themselves. They were scared that there would be a betrayer from within.
This was a test to enter Dragon Spirit Squad. Therefore, it was hard to guarantee that people wouldn't be scheming up strategies. Everyone had to protect themselves.
As long as one could become a member of the Dragon Spirit Squad, then one would be high up in the ranks. Even the army general could not control them. Therefore, who would care for those few relations.h.i.+ps during their trainee days?
w.a.n.g Feng did not know a single person there. Hence, he was the last person to walk into the forest alone with one day's worth of dry grains.
The forest was extremely quiet. There wasn't even an average beast in it. It was probably a place governed by the army. This effectively eliminated w.a.n.g Feng's idea to kill a beast as food fuel.
Only a day's worth of dry gains was given to tide over an entire week. It was easy to imagine that after a while people would start fighting within themselves. They were not G.o.ds. They needed food to prevent starvation. Even though they cannot eat and not drink and still sustain themselves for two or three days, but to starve for an entire week was an impossible task. No one could do that, perhaps not even w.a.n.g Feng.
w.a.n.g Feng was not sure of the exact size of the forest. In any case, the hundred people that entered the forest all dispersed after entering. They all went to find their own hiding place.
A day's worth of dry grains had to be sustained over seven days. Hence, perhaps after this test ended, there would be about half of the people who would have been eliminated.
Because this was the only way that there would be enough food for everyone. In fact, there would be people here who would lose their lives.
After walking for about five kilometers, w.a.n.g Feng found a rock cavern. Even though the place was a little small, but fitting himself in shouldn't be a problem.
Right now, their main mission was not to cover the miles, but rather to conserve energy and food. Plus, they had just entered the arena. People would probably not start striking right now. Finding cover was most important.
It was quiet all around. The silence was even a little frightening. It was akin to the feeling of an impending storm.
Time pa.s.sed by in minutes and seconds. The forest was enormous, so it was not easy to find a person out of the hundred people in the forest. w.a.n.g Feng had not even heard of any sound of anyone who struck.
Taking out his dry grains, w.a.n.g Feng casually ate a little of it. Then, he hid himself in the rock cavern, closed his eyes and started practicing.
Even though he was in a test, but one could not abandon one's practice. This was just like going against the water. If one did not progress, one regressed. One could not relax.
If he became like He Tian, then there would be not much way to turn back.
Time pa.s.sed very quickly. After about ten hours, they finally reached the night of the seven-day mission. In the day, everyone probably hid in their own corner. But once the night descended, there would be people who would not resist to strike.
The dry grain was never enough for a hundred people to eat. If one wants to live, then one must steal another's.
This was the Black Wind of the Moonlight Night. Time to kill others and rob resources!
