Qiao Lian left the news agency. Right when she left, she noticed people staring over at her. She cupped her face, hailed a cab and went to the nearest hospital.

Qiao Lian nodded and looked at her swollen face in the mirror.

A couple of revenge plans against the news agency flashed across her mind, but she knew that now was not the time to implement any of them.

She clenched her fists and took a deep breath. She should not begin taking revenge until she had received her press pa.s.s.

Qiao Lian returned to the villa and immediately went upstairs. Given that the two servants were not as observant as Caretaker Li, they did not notice her odd appearance.
