War Is Peace was also a Pugilist and the martial arts that he practiced was the Hong Quan martial arts. Hong Quan was a martial art that was built on a st.u.r.dy foundation and was widely practiced by many.

As this boxing technique was easy to pick up but hard to excel in, the number of true pract.i.tioners of this martial art paled in comparison with the number of common street thugs that used it. After all, big moves like those had long cast times. In PVE situations, it was still acceptable. However, in PVP scenarios, who would be so stupid as to stand there and let the opponent land the ability on them? In the event that the attack misses, it would be extremely awkward for the attacker. Thus, this punch from Vainglory was to test his opponent out.

Seeing Vainglory’s fist coming at him, War Is Peace smiled and calmly stood on the same spot. He then adopted the horse stance, retracted his left fist towards his waist and unleashed his right fist forward. War Is Peace’s fist, that was almost the same size as Vainglory’s head, clashed with Vainglory’s fist.

“Boom!”

Upon the collision of both fists, Vainglory was thrown to the side of the arena, sprawled on the floor. War Is Peace, on the other hand, stood on the same spot, resembling that of an unmoving Budha.

The end result of the attack by Vainglory, with War Is Peace’s st.u.r.dy and unmoving body still at the same spot and Vainglory’s frail and weak body lying on the ground, was similar to that of a mayfly attempting to shake a tree. It was a futile attack.

When players PK in the game, it was common for one party to be pressured by the other. However, seeing such an oppressive and powerful punch was still a first for everyone there.

“Lord Seventh is truly powerful! The opponent brat couldn’t even take one of his. .h.i.ts!”

Seeing the scene that had unfolded in front of their eyes, the audience gasped in shock.

Below the stage, Fearless rubbed his chin and said, “Such a high damage output… Seems like this old thing added all of his points into Strength. No wonder why he chose such a place for the battle. He was afraid of getting kited by his opponent.”

Pugilists did not have much explosiveness in their abilities and their physique were lacking compared to other job cla.s.ses. Instead, they relied heavily on the flexibility in their attacks. Coupled with his st.u.r.dy foundations and the all-in Strength point allocation, even someone of w.a.n.g Yu’s standards would have to recognise a Pugilist player of such. It was truly, the older the wiser.

As War Is Peace was someone that had allocated all of his points into Strength, his movement speed wasn’t fantastic. Thus, after blowing Vainglory away, he did not follow up with any attacks but chose to stand on his original spot, waiting for Vainglory to get up once more.

“This old man!”

Vainglory couldn’t help but curse silently after getting up, immediately jumping forward and activating [Crus.h.i.+ng Fist] towards War Is Peace.

“It seems like you have yet to learn your lesson!”

Seeing that Vainglory still chose to fight him head-on, War Is Peace adopted the horse stance once more, promptly raising his fist.

“Haha, you fell for it!”

Seeing that War Is Peace had adopted the same stance once more, Vainglory laughed before promptly cancelling his ability, landing on the ground and following up with a [Lateral Kick] towards War Is Peace instead.

War Is Peace was currently in the middle of his punch and thus, it was too late for him to retract it. [Lateral Kick] was a move that had the [Rising Strike] effect. If War Is Peace suffered from the [Rising Strike] effect, Vainglory would then have the opportunity to cast [Shadow Chain Kick]. Given [Shadow Chain Kick]’s damage, if War Is Peace did not have any special abilities similar to [Spirit Guard], he would be instantly eliminated.

“Dragon Kneel!”

Seeing that Vainglory had suddenly changed his move, War Is Peace’s pupils shrank. With a loud roar, he suddenly dropped his elbow at a weird angle with the right arm that was already extended, casting [Dragon Head Void Shadow] on Vainglory’s thighs.

Sensing a surge of power coming towards him, Vainglory’s ability was abruptly cancelled. Following which, War Is Peace suddenly lashed out with his left hand, grabbing hold of Vainglory. With one hand, he flipped Vainglory over and grabbed him by his right leg before slamming his entire body on the ground.

“Heck! This is what you call hanging and beating a little brat!”

Seeing Vainglory getting played once more, the audience in the arena were invigorated once more.

“My G.o.d, what is Little Chicky doing? He should have known that the opponent added all of his points into Strength and yet he still chose to fight him head-on?”

The players from Quan Zhen Sect said, frustrated that Vainglory was throwing the face of their sect.

w.a.n.g Yu sighed and said, “Eh, Little Chicky is still young and thus is bound to make mistakes. The old man, on the other hand, knows how to take advantage of the battle and could easily control the entire fight. Whether or not he can still win would depend on whether Vainglory is capable of adapting to the situation now.”

[Dragon Kneel] was an ability that could interrupt any oncoming aerial abilities and had a decent damage output. Coupled with the strike from War Is Peace’s elbow, Vainglory’s HP bar had dropped to half. On the other hand, War Is Peace’s was still full.

Vainglory was currently underneath the feet of War Is Peace, thus, War Is Peace did not have to worry about being able to land a hit on his target. He raised his leg and launched a kick at Vainglory.

Vainglory had finally understood that the opponent’s moves relied heavily on brute force. Thus, he should not clash with him head-on in a contest of strength and had to escape from his control.

Therefore, Vainglory immediately rolled on the floor, avoiding the oncoming kick from War Is Peace. Following which, he executed a leg sweep towards the leg which War Is Peace was balancing himself on.

War Is Peace’s body trembled for a moment, before losing its balance and collapsing over…

Upon seeing this, Vainglory smirked. Following which, Vainglory leapt into the air and was about to execute [Eagle Stomp] onto both the legs of War Is Peace. However, War Is Peace suddenly did a flip in midair, launching his entire body towards Vainglory who had just leapt into the air…

“You b*stard!”

War Is Peace’s body was huge and st.u.r.dy and the weight of it was easily over a few hundred catties. Vainglory pitifully shrieked before getting pinned underneath War Is Peace’s body.

Even though they were a distance away from the ring, the audience could still feel the ground tremor with each blow to Vainglory’s head.

A Pugilist did not have high defences. Coupled with the fact that Vainglory walked the path of an Agility-based Pugilist, one ultimate move from War Is Peace was sufficient to send Vainglory out of the Arena.

Following the system’s announcement, War Is Peace was sent back to his team’s camp.

Vainglory gloomily returned to his seat. Seeing that the kid was already so pitiful, the other players from Quan Zhen Sect that initially wanted to give him a good scolding promptly gave up on that idea.

“I was so close to countering that stupid old man…” Vainglory said, unwilling to accept his defeat.

w.a.n.g Yu patted Vainglory on the back and comforted, “It’s alright, luck plays a part in the outcome of a fight as well. Just be more aware the next time and don’t get too close to your opponent.”
