“Do you own this route? How was I following you?” Sheng Yize snorted like a tsundere. “Well, since you’re awake, go back to your own room! You’re not taking advantage of me!”

An Xiaxia blushed. Could this guy be any more explicit?

She then checked herself. She still had all her clothes on and everything seemed to be where they should be. Still a little shaken, she patted her chest.

Sheng Yize darted her a glance before quickly looking away.

“Aren’t you going to leave?”

“I am. Of course I am.” An Xiaxia bit her lip and her eyes darted around.

Actually… she was a little scared.

What if that amorous-eyed guy was a pervert? She had the room all to herself, what if in the middle of the night…

She was probably paranoid… An Xiaxia was still troubled by the thought when an idea struck her suddenly. “Sheng Yize, let’s go light some sky lanterns ¹ !”

“Now?” Sheng Yize was surprised.

“Yup. I’m offering you a chance to make it up to me.” An Xiaxia pouted. “I’m still not over the fact that you tricked me into marrying you!”

Sheng Yize gave her a suspicious look, then recalled that he had traveled all the way here just to bring An Xiaxia home.

“Alright,” he agreed promptly.

There were sky lanterns sold at the guesthouse. They bought a few and took them to a creek in the small town.

An Xiaxia drew on the lantern with a marker. Seeing that Sheng Yize was still standing there, she gave him a nudge. “Why aren’t you writing anything?”

He had stopped playing with such childish things since he was three or four years old.

The candles were then lit and they set out the lanterns.
