Shawn asked the driver a.s.signed for him to stop by Denise's house since it was on the way to "The House of Zeus".

If not for Ryu's intimidating words, he wouldn't waste his time by partic.i.p.ating in a show like this one. He liked to maintain his privacy as much as possible. But Old Man Skull did not stop pestering him and had forced him to join the show.

Old Man Skull just did not want the Ken's being ahead of them too much. Right now, his focus on bringing down the Kens was jiggled and it was no longer part of the plan for him.

'Maybe Old Man Skull is right. A woman is always the reason for a man's downfall.' He thought while he waited for Denise to come out from her house.

But how can he consider Denise as bringing his downfall, instead Denise became his ray of light in the dark, she is his suns.h.i.+ne that showers his days and nights with love.

Yes he had changed... but what was he before Denise came in his life? Today, he had a goal to live a life with Denise, have a family with this stubborn, naïve woman.

"Yeah, she is my suns.h.i.+ne, brightening my life" he murmured as he looked lovingly at Denise walking towards his car.

She was smiling and he was smiling too.

'How funny!' he thought inwardly as the car was heavily tinted but it was like they both could see each other through it and were smiling.

"How many more minutes spare time do we have?" Shawn asked as he pressed the call b.u.t.ton for the driver's side.

He was inside a limousine and there's a part.i.tion between the driver and pa.s.senger's compartment.

"Forty five minutes Sir." the driver answered.

"Alright… I understand." Shawn answered.

Shawn opened his window to call Denise and said, "Hop in."

"Missed me?" Denise asked while climbing in the car.

She was immediately pulled in a tight hug possessively by Shawn, startling her.

"You miss me so much?" Denise asked, whispering while she circled her one arm around his neck and another around his waist.

After all, it had only been two hours since they last separated after a long love making session.

Denise could feel the possessiveness Shawn had towards her yet she liked it. She had lived a life too independent since young and hence she just loved his possessiveness towards her and being cherished by him.

This was something she had not felt before but perhaps love was a strange thing, it makes you afraid for the person you deeply love, in return, making you possessive.

"Aren't you going to be late?" Denise murmured while still holding him.

Shawn gently pushed her to bring her face in front of him and stared at her with a creased forehead.

"Why do I feel like you're driving me away?" he said with pouting lips.

Denise laughed and instead of answering, she kissed him, a deep pa.s.sionate and possessive kiss.

'Yes hubby, I am going to miss you dearly, but I cannot say it out loud.'

"Are you torturing me?" Shawn whispered between her kissing. How he wished he doesn't have to leave her and go anywhere.

"Hmm, I'm wis.h.i.+ng you luck darling… good luck for surviving in the house without seeing me for a while." Denise said teasingly.

Shawn drew her closer and kissed her hard and bit her lips sensing the teasing tone in her sentence.

"Ouch! You angry bird… I know you are going to miss me badly but I am glad you decided to join the show. All the best for winning darling."

She was happy Shawn agreed to do the show. She only hoped that this show will become a means to solve the misunderstanding between Shawn and the Kens. She hoped that her big bro Ryu succeeds in his endeavor.

"I have a.s.signed people to look after you while I'm away… To make sure you are safe and nothing and no one harms you. Don't worry about anything and please don't deny me trying to protect you. You are my wife, my priceless possession, I can't leave you unprotected and go away. And no need to panic, you won't even feel their presence around you." Shawn said as he showered Denise with his gentle kisses.

She knew Shawn wouldn't listen to her and so decided to go with the flow and accepted his bodyguards.

After minutes of smooching each other, the intercom rang.

Shawn pressed it and the driver said, "Sir, the show has almost started and the production team is now looking for us. We need to go now…"

Denise smiled and said to Shawn, "Alright darling… Off you go. Don't let them wait. I will keep my eyes on you at the television. Eat well, play the games nicely, be good and miss me. I'll be cheering you while watching the show from home," and she gave him a sweet rea.s.suring smile to satisfy the unrest in his mind.

Then she kissed him once more before she went out from the car.

It was difficult for her to stay such calm and cheerful in front of him. She really wanted to grab his hand and not let him go… he was already a habit of her life, she will miss him to the moon and back.

Denise let out a long deep sigh as she stared and waved her hand at the car that was already far.

Her thoughts drifted to the phone call she had received an hour ago from Elder Master Ken. He had called her to the Kens mansion and said that he wanted to meet her.

They had actually met already once at the masquerade ball but they did not have the chance to talk. Denise also wanted to go to the Ken's mansion to see her husband's original house, moreover she would be able to meet Arya at the Ken's Mansion and would love to meet all the family members there because she was a part of them now.
