Boruto - Naruto Generations Chapter 12: A Landmine (Nine)

Konohamaru looked at his mentor with a gaze of utmost respect.

"Boss, When do we start the training?" Konohamaru asked.

"Oh, the training" Boruto was snapped back into reality.

"Don't you have a sensei already?" Boruto asked, preventing himself from revealing the fact that he already knew all the details about Konohamaru's jōnin teacher, Ebisu.

"Ebisu-sensei?"

"Pft, that guy barely qualifies as my teacher,"

"Now that boss defeated the geezer today, you are more powerful than him to me," Konohamaru said.

("He's quite the fickle-minded one…") Boruto mentally made a note.

"Konohamaru,"

"Ninja or not, one must always respect their sensei,"

"Ebisu-sensei has never shown his full skills, nor has your grandfather,"

"If I were to display my skills, I'd probably be an ant in front of them," Boruto said.

"You're too humble, Boss!" Konohamaru complimented.

"It's not a joke Konohamaru, I'm serious here dateba.s.sa," Boruto said with a heavy tone.

"…" Konohamaru remained silent.

"One of the most important things when facing your opponents is to never underestimate them," Boruto said.

"Ah,"

"That's why the geezer lost to you…"

"I see…" Konohamaru immediately started taking notes.

"Listen up Konohamaru,"

"Come to my house in the evening tomorrow, we will start with your training," Boruto said with a smile.

"Really, Boss? Thanks a lot," Konohamaru said energetically.

"You'd better rest up tonight, tomorrow's training is going to be really hard," Boruto said.

"I see, Well then, You're dismissed!" Boruto said, following which he walked away.

"Take care, See you tomorrow, Boss!" Konohamaru spoke aloud with a rigid voice as he stared at Boruto's departing back.

At this moment, however, a few meters away on top of a building, a man stared at the spot where Konohamaru stood. The man was none other than Ebisu-sensei. Ebisu then turned towards Boruto, who was walking away from the scene.

"Trying to steal my disciple away from me, eh?"

"Although you know your place, it doesn't change the fact that you will be going against me if you want to train honorable grandson," Ebisu murmured to himself.

Ebisu departed from the place silently leaving no trace of his presence.

Later that night, Boruto prepared the hamburgers without any more interruptions.

"It's done!" Boruto stared at the burger swallowing a gulp of spit from his watery mouth.

Soon he sat down at the table with everything prepared.

"Itadakimasu," Boruto then took a big first bite.

"…" (gulp) Boruto swallowed down what he chewed.

("Ah…") Boruto marveled at his creation.

("It's been a long time since I had hamburger steak…") Boruto thought.

He then took a look at his shabby Hamburger which was ever more messed up after he had taken a bite out of it.

"If only this world had ketchup or mayo…"

"I'm lucky they at least have BBQ sauce here," Boruto sighed.

He then looked towards the fridge at the end of the room.

"I've made one for Uncle s.h.i.+kamaru and three for Uncle Chōji,"

"I hope he doesn't ask for more…" Boruto said as he thought back to how Chōchō would eat endlessly.

"Oops,"

"I'd better remember to call them by their name,"

"If I add uncles to their name, there's no telling what could happen," Boruto said as he thought back to Sakura's reaction of him calling her aunty.

"Now, how do I handle my mom…" Boruto murmured.

A few minutes later he was sweating unable to come up with anything.

"Time out," Boruto brought his hands together.

About a dozen shadow clones suddenly popped out.

"Ah, dad's chakra was always this high," Boruto sighed, seeing his effort to summon three or four shadow clones to end up summoning twelve of them.

He then took a look at his counterparts.

"Sorry guys, could seven of you undo yourself?" Boruto asked.

"I say let's get this meeting started as is,"

"Listen up," one of the clones took on the position of a leader by standing up on the table.

"Guys, let's sort everything out one by one," Boruto brought back the team's focus.

"Back to the fortuneteller,"

"Anyone has any ideas on how to leave this world?" The leader clone asked.

"Hmm…." The team thought hard.

"Wait, don't tell me that I have to spend the rest of my life here…" One of the clones murmured with despair.

"Sakura Obachan!" A clone announced.

Another clone hit him in the head, causing him to disappear.

"Don't get me killed dattebasa," Boruto said.

"Serves him right," the others nodded in agreement.

"We need to solve that problem with Sakura,"

"If Sasuke wants a rematch, he must go on a date with Sakurchan," The clone leader announced.

"…" The clone leader remained silent.

"Uchiha Itachi," A clone said.

"This might be troublesome,"

"He's an S-Cla.s.s criminal after all," a clone said.

"Kill on sight, huh…"

"Must be pretty powerful," Boruto murmured.

"Is he stronger than Uncle Sasuke also?" Boruto asked himself, referring to the Adult Uchiha Sasuke.

"We don't know that,"

"But we need to find out more about that guy," Another clone said.

"Do we ask Sasuke?" A clone suggested.

"…" The room was silent for a moment.

"That topic could be taboo for Sasuke so we might have to find it using other means," The leader suggested.

"I think so too," Boruto replied.

"All right then,"

"Next," The leader asked.

"Konohamaru," Boruto said.

"Konohamaru…"
