'An hour more,' I thought, internally as I pa.s.sed by another Sovereign, who was a few hundred meters away from me.

She didn't detect me, which is not surprising, seeing even Peak Sovereigns couldn't detect me and she is a Mid-Sovereign.

Until the morning, everything was fine, but suddenly the members of the two cities descended into the forest between the territory of their cities and started fighting each other.

It had caught me by surprise, seeing it was one and half days ago, I was Klevib and its relations.h.i.+p with Jasdi was normal.

The conflict between them should have been prevented considering, both of them belong to the same organization. 

Well, it had happened, and now I couldn't go to the Jasdi. So, I am taking another route, the one I had earlier didn't plan on taking, due to its dangerousness.

But the conflict left me no choice, as I am not willing to lose weeks on another long route.

I only need to cross the ounal forest; it will take me around three to four days. If I did it successfully, then javelin city would be less than a week away.

From my planned route, it would have taken me two weeks; I will be saving for several days.

Though, there is a big if involved in it. 

If I crossed the forest with no problem and if anyone had a chance, then it would be me. I have a Nero who will not have a problem, leading me through the hallucinogenic mist covering the whole forest.

In some areas, the mist is powerful enough to make even Earth Sovereign hallucinate, and many have lost their mind in it.

I have already prepared the defenses against it, and from the sample I had tested thanks to Nero, my measures would just work fine.

One and a half an hour later, I had reached the boundary of the forest.

It had taken longer to reach here than I had expected.

An Earth Sovereign had appeared above me and I had to wait till she had left before moving toward the forest.

I looked at the green mist with a faint pinkish hue and entered inside.

A minute later, I am inside and isn't feeling much. There are some faint effects, but they are manageable.

'It seemed like those formations working better than I had imagined them to be,' I thought.

'It shouldn't be only the runes,' I added, looking at my meta-scan. My soul and soul body seemed to be immune. Peak Sovereigns would have started to feel a light hallucination within a minute of entering.

Still, I kept the formation in my core ready. The moment my clones saw the changes. 

I walked slowly and carefully. I first need to get all the facts about this forest ready before I increase my speed. 

I moved ahead in the forest and with every step, the hallucinating mist begin to get denser and power, but to my surprise, my body and soul are adapting to it rapidly.

I am kind of shocked seeing the speed of adaptability and it is all due to the forbidden power, I am merging myself with every day.

I had expected to get something like this after my breakthrough, but I was getting it before it.

I wonder what will happen after the breakthrough. There is going to be a huge change in me.

This thought sobered me up instead of exciting me. This big change means the forbidden energy had become an even bigger part of me than I realized, and it is going to make things difficult during the breakthrough.

I will not stop the treatments. I am doing things for the result I am seeing and if I want to survive the breakthrough.

Then I will have to make the preparations, so good that the breakthrough would be smooth sailing for me.

Six hours pa.s.sed and even now, I hadn't activated the formation I have prepared. I am doing good; my body and soul rapidly adapting to it.

Though, I do not think, I will be able to cross the whole forest, with the adaptive immunity alone. If the power of hallucinogenic mist keeps increasing, I will have to activate those formations.

'Father hide,' 

Warned Nero and immediately, I hid and activated my stealth method at full power.

About a minute later, an enormous snake slithered a little more than a mile away from me. It is big; big enough to swallow me whole, with no problem, and it would do it if it were discovered.

I stayed on my spot, without making any movement, letting the Earth Sovereign grate snake pa.s.s away.

If I had been powering, I would have killed the monster.

Its scales have a hallucinogenic pattern. Every monster in this forest has them. This is clear proof that a law had been involved in whatever resulted in the creation of this forest and mist.

Only the involvement of the law could make such marks.

It took a day and three hours for me to activate the formation, and it was only when I had entered the spot with dense hallucinations spots.

The mist increased tens of times within seconds, it was too fast for me.

I could have back but decided to move ahead. I have confidence in my formations. If I feel they are not doing the job, I will retreat immediately.

With that thought, I kept moving, stopping only to observe and collect resources or hide from the monsters.

This forest has some unique resources, especially the dense part. I am sure, quite a lot of things would be interested in the things I am finding here.

It seemed like taking a risk to come here would be worth it. I have nearly crossed half of the forest and crossed the other half. Nothing surprising happened, with a lot of unique resources.

'Father,' 

I was in my thoughts when the voice of Nero rang through my mind, and the scenery changed.

Three Earth-Sovereigns wearing cloaks appeared in front of my eyes, and they seemed to be doing something strange.

'When do you sense them?' I asked. 'Just a few minutes ago; they have arrived from the other side,' he replied.

He is looking at them from the distance, so I could see them. 

'Be careful,' I said and activated the stealth method at my pull power and also brought the stealth formation. 

This one is new, I had created it to enhance the power of my stealth ability, with the new understanding of the runes.

It's much better than the old one I used.

I need to be careful. Those three were no common Earth Sovereigns, but Peak-Earth Sovereigns. 

Peak Earth Sovereigns are no normal people. They are leaders of cities like Marlin and here three of them doing something in secret.

'f.u.c.k!' I cursed.

I don't want to be caught in what they are doing. 

If I get caught, I am doing to die definitely. They are not going to leave me alive, especially after I saw doing whatever the f.u.c.k they are doing here.

A few minutes pa.s.sed, and they seemed to have been finished with whatever they were doing. 

All three of them rose in the air before disappearing.

They didn't even scan the area with their soul sense before leaving like any careful person would do.

Making this already strange thing even stranger.
