'The core took it all,' I thought in shock as I saw the core slowing down, before stopping.

The core had become fat with all that eating. Fortunately, it didn't explode immediately, but there is a prime chance of it might happen and I already made the preparations.

There is a powerful formation and six metallic black squares.

They are something I had made. I had gotten it from one of the Peak Sovereign pirates; I had killed in the bold sea.

They will absorb the explosion, without affecting the s.p.a.ce.

Still, I should get out of here, but I didn't move from my spot. I kept watching and soon the merging begins.

Body and souls merge in three stages of Sovereigns. She had already finished first and started with the second. It will be the first time I am seeing it happening in the second stage.

It happened with the core as a mediator and if what ate leaked into her body and soul. It will kill her immediately and painfully.

I watched the process, not for the danger, but for the knowledge. 

I am also excited about the energy that will form in their merging. Most of it is absorbed, but some remain; the breakthrough formation will absorb it.

It is one of the things that could enhance its working greatly.

It is an extremely slow process that I had sat down comfortably and closed my eyes before appearing to my core. Where is a huge projection of her meta-scan is being projected by the breakthrough formation.

It is very detailed that I could observe nearly every change of the merging and what I am seeing made me a little relieved.

The core is calm. There is not the slightest fluctuation coming out of it.

An hour pa.s.sed, and the merging is continuing. It will take half an hour to an hour for it to be finished.

A few minutes pa.s.sed, and I noticed some interesting things. It is not about the merging that happening; I am looking at other things.

The body contains immense knowledge. If a person is good enough, they could guess what sort of things they have experienced, the injuries they have received, and even the methods they practice.

I shouldn't be looking such deeply into her; it is violating her privacy.

I feel bad for doing it, but I didn't stop. I need data and she is a large repository of it.

I am looking at her past breakthrough. The Sovereign and Earth Sovereigns; her Sovereign breakthrough didn't seem simple. There was some outside interference in it.

The Earth Sovereign breakthrough was much smoother. Though I did sense some strangeness in the source energy, it is present in all breakthroughs, bigger and small.

Forty-two minutes pa.s.sed, and the merging process was finished with no problem.

The body absorbed the energy, but a large amount of it remained, and begin to dissipate out of it. 

The breakthrough formation moved and began to absorb this energy.

As it is happening, I turned my attention to the core. The last stage is about to begin, it is where things might go, wrong.

There is a good chance they will go wrong.

A few seconds pa.s.sed, and the consolidation had finally begun. 

It is a slow process and started normally, even half a minute later. There was no change, and I begin to relax and that is when the change occurred.

The core inflates, and it didn't inflate like a ball in perfect spherical shape, but in a misshapen shape. It looked like a couple of people were pulling it toward different sides while it inflates.

It stopped when it grew three times larger and bubbling protrusion begin to appear on it.

It was already bad, and now these protrusions were making things even worse.  I wish I could do anything, but I couldn't.

So, I watched as bubbling protrusions become intense; ready to explode, but they didn't. They would step back and come out again bubblingly.

The only saving grace in all this is that consolidation had continued. It is happening, without pause, but it will still be time and by them, many things could happen.

There is a 90% chance that something would go wrong.

One minute after another pa.s.sed and a solid layer formed, covering the stretched core. Though the protrusions would still stretch out of them, never stopping their movements even for a second.

The core had really absorbed too much. If it had just been controlled, its appet.i.te had only absorbed 60% of it; it would have made the job much easier.

Safer.

I could tell, at 60% there wouldn't have been any danger. The core, which is still barely standing at 100%, easily would have been able to bear 60%.

Half an hour pa.s.sed and most of the core had been consolidated. It is a miracle already that it didn't burst out, but even now, it could happen.

I could feel the powerful struggle that happening in the core. Where is trying to digest the substance, it had swallowed.

The substance is powerful, and it does not want to get digested.

It is a good thing; this is a legacy inheritance. If it had been any normal inheritance or even Prime one, their core wouldn't have been able to bear those injuries.

It is too d.a.m.n difficult, impossible without a strong inheritance and powerful source energies, which are doing everything in their power to digest them and make them part of their core.

A few more minutes pa.s.sed, and I felt an intense reaction from the core. For a moment, I had thought; it was ready to explode and nearly took a step back, when I noticed the readings were completely different.

Instead, it is the inheritance with the power of source energy that burst out with immense power and started swallowing the substance, digesting its extremely fast speed.

It wouldn't have happened if it had been out of the core; the core is its domain. They could do anything they want in there.

I watched everything and even increased the power of sensory formation hidden in the breakthrough formation. It is a prime data; it will be going to help me a lot.

A few minutes pa.s.sed, and everything stopped. 

The core had become calm, like nothing happened and its begin to change its shape again. This time, it begins to shrink, and protrusion begins to lessen, till they disappeared.

In just seven seconds, the core returned to its original size, and now it is more golden than before, radiating with immense power.

Buzz!

A moment later, the core buzzed, and a flood of golden-brown power came out of her core. It is as thick as water and extremely powerful.

So much that I want to get it, but I didn't, not even a single drop. 

This energy is for her, and everything is going to get absorbed. While taking the few drops wouldn't affect her; I don't want to do anything that even takes a fraction of her strength.

Her body begins to absorb the energy, bringing many changes.

I was watching those when I noticed something surprising. It made my eyes go wide, that I immediately focused those sensory formations toward it.
