Chapter 3404 Journey

"You sure you don't want me to drop you off at the closes city?" she asked, to which I shook my head.

"No. I have something to do here. I will leave in a few days," I replied. 

I would have loved to take her offer, but I don't know whether her enemies are waiting outside the forest. I don't want to get into the conflict of Earth-Sovereigns, till I need to.

"Thank you once again. I will never forget this favor, Oro," she said. I smiled. 

"Goodbye," she said and walked out of the door. A moment later, she rose into the sky and flew away, while I waved at her.

As she disappeared from view. I entered back into the abode and went to my bedroom.

I didn't sleep immediately and instead went to my core.

There, I appeared beside my clone, who is studying the data I have gotten from Serena. It is more precious than I had thought and helps me a lot in my inheritance.

I stayed by my clone for an hour before I looked at my breakthrough formation.

The ring had absorbed a large amount of energy created from the merging of body and soul. It is digesting it. When it is finished, the breakthrough formation will be even stronger.

It is not absorbing all the energy and had kept some for me. I am running, a few tests on it; it will provide me with great insight into the merging of the body and soul.

'The lesson will be in an hour,' 

I was about to start with the tests when the voice rang out. 

Earlier, I have been healing Serena and nearly forgot about the lesson. It is the first time I have missed the lesson, and I didn't like it, but I was a saving person earlier.

Thankfully, the overseer is willing to conduct it late.

I entered the library and checked my homework. When I have finished; I do it as possible and it is the only thing I do on my own. I didn't take help from my clones in doing that.

The only help I take is for the research.

"Ready?" she asked as she appeared in the chair, exactly an hour later. "Yes," I replied.

The lesson lasted for over three and a half hours. After she disappeared, I studied what I had learned and did the homework, which took hours.

It was hard as usual, but I had fun doing that.

I wish I could stay in my core and study for hours like I didn't when I was on the s.h.i.+p, but I couldn't.

I have a thing to do. The first is getting out of this forest. I have been lucky to not get found by any monster, but I didn't want to stretch my luck too far.

I might get some alone time once I reach Javelin City since I will be reaching there more than a month early. Though I didn't dare to hope too much; things are not simply there.

After I ate, I got out of the abode and put it back into my storage.

Once again, a hallucinogenic mist hit me but didn't affect me as I was prepared. There is formation active in my core, which is providing me with the extra defense against this mist.

I looked around before resuming my journey.

A few minutes after I had started. I had to stop; an Earth Sovereign monster is pa.s.sing nearby.

I could have moved with the stealth method active, but I didn't want to push my luck. I have come close to death many times here, and I survived, and I want to continue with that.

Soon the monster moved away, and I continued, with my strings moving around me.

I am collecting resources. 

I have used quite a lot on Serena and hope she will be able to pay me back one day. 

Though, it will be fine if she didn't.

I didn't save her in the hope of receiving something in exchange, but would be glad if I did.

A few hours pa.s.sed and I am covering the distance fast. If everything goes well, I will be out of the forest by tomorrow afternoon, which is a whole day away.

The forest is dangerous, and I am being careful. I didn't take any risks and followed the way Nero is leading me to.

If he hadn't been here, I wouldn't have been able to move, with the speed half of this. Nero makes a lot of things easy, especially traveling.

An hour pa.s.sed, and I have stopped. It is not because of the monster, but because of the precious resource, which is very hard to harvest.

I needed to use the runic construct made of soul energy. So, I could remove the seeds of the red flowers. I couldn't just pick the flower and take the seeds out later, that doesn't work with this flower.

I have to remove the seeds of it, while the flower is attached to the plant.

It took me a few minutes, but I harvested all the seeds before I take out all the plants. The seeds are the only precious thing, but also the flowers.

With that done, I continued for two and a half hours; I didn't stop for nothing before I needed to stop.

This time for fifteen minutes. There are a couple of Sovereign monsters fighting. It is a way fearsome fight.

Though no monster died. They were fighting over the resource. The monster, the monster, had got it into his mouth. They had stopped fighting and went on their separate ways.

Soon, the night came, but I didn't stop.

The number of monsters had increased a little in the night, but I decided to take the risk and continue.

I had already spent more time in the forest, I like to be and just want to get out of here. I will take the rest when I entered the other side.

There is a city, only a few hours away from the boundary of the forest. 

I will rest there and do some shopping, before resuming the journey toward the javelin city.
