Tapping the shoulder of one of the officers at the gate of Zhang villa was a woman whose face was quite hard to forget. The greeting from the officer made the other officers that were nearby turn to see who commanded that much respect. A woman that was addressed as a man in broad daylight? How unusual!
The woman returned the greeting of the officer, who in turn faced his colleagues casting meaningful glances at them. The rest followed suit and gave the woman a salute, probably thinking that she was a high ranking plain clothed government official.
