Lila wasn't sure exactly what sort of photographs she was looking for. But she did want to go through it all, Lila turned to the alb.u.m in her hands. The colour on the alb.u.m looked worn out and faded. The what she a.s.sumed used to be a bright blue was now a faded blue colour. Dust seemed to decorate the edges, Lila quickly wiped it away with her hands.

Lila frowned when she realized something, won't the photographs be faded too? Lila shook her head, it should be okay. She opened the alb.u.m up and the first photograph grabbed her attention.

She didn't expect to find the very first page with the photo taken during the day of the incidence. Lila knew immediately it was the same place from her memories, she pulled it out and stared at it. A picture of her when she was younger alongside a young boy with maroon coloured hair and bright smile.

Mikami looked over, eyes wide, "Huh, so senpai used to smile like that?"

It surprised Lila too. Even though they are closer now, this is the first time she saw such a bright smile. So Haruka can smile like this and, Lila examined the photograph carefully. The young her was clinging to his arm and he seemed fl.u.s.tered, but still smiled. The two of them were that close before?

Lila continued to look at the photographs, most of the ones from this alb.u.m appeared to be from that day. Or at least that weak. In all of them she saw her and Haruka close together. But that's not all she saw. Lila thought it was just her imagination. However in all the photographs, she saw something else there in the background. It startled her. It was darkness, not just in the surroundings but sometimes right at her neck. These…?

It's darkness, that much Lila could recognize. But she is slightly unsure. Why? When she was younger? If it's like that then perhaps all this time the darkness really was her enemy. The thought made her sick. It can't be. A mocking voice in her head emerges.

'So you finally noticed?'

Since she started to date Haruka, she seldom heard those voices. But once again.

Lila quickly felt her vision blurr and as each second pa.s.sed by, she could no longer stand still. Before she could lose her footing however, somebody picked her up and carried her.

"Sorry," he whispered.

It was faint but she heard him loud and clear.

"Haruka.."

"I thought it would be fine, if I let you look by yourself. No," Haruka shook his head, "I don't have the heart to look at those photos anymore. It was the happiest period of my life but also the one that brought me the most pain."

The most pain, because of the accident that lead to her forgetting about him? Haruka must have suffered for so long. She wonders if there is a way for her to make it up to him. They wasted so much time, so much time was wasted. No matter what happen, she doesn't want to leave this person's side anymore.

They eventually reached the room, Haruka placed her down on the bed and he loosens his tie. Her cheeks turned red as he started to get dressed, she quickly averted her gaze from. Do not look at Haruka even for a single second, otherwise he would notice. She brought the blanket over her face but even through the darkness of the sheets. It felt like she could see right through him.

Moments later, she felt him approach the bed and eventually a pair of arms wrapped their arms around her.

"Quit hiding."

"Um, I'm just embarra.s.sed."

A chuckle pa.s.sed Haruka's lips, "Your very cute darling. But, surely you understand as a hanyou our night vision is better than our light vision?"

That's true, even if she hides like this nothing would change. Lila removed the blanket but didn't turn to face him.

"Lila, I promise I will tell you everything one day. So just bear with me for a bit longer."

"You see, there's a lot I need to sort out. But the one thing I want to focus on is you. Our relations.h.i.+p and your dream."

Lila said nothing, focus on their relations.h.i.+p huh? Indeed Haruka really has been doing that, this whole time he's focused on finding ways to make her happy. She knows he's been working hard for her sake. Lila turned around, "When I go back, come with me.."

"Yeah. But are you sure?"

"Ah-huh."

Especially after what happened, she wants to make sure Haruka is safe too. Who knows what Linda or even that Sophia person would try to do, if she were to leave him alone here? It's too risky. Haruka laughed, before his lips brushed against her ears, "How do you propose we get close?"

Lila sensed heated up the atmosphere suddenly became, so she turned around again. Her back facing him. Her heart beating loudly. Why is he acting like this again? He doesn't make things easier for her. She understands full well that they are a couple now. But, but ---- the thing they do the most as a couple is have s.e.x. A small smirk formed on Haruka's lips, "Since your asking me to dearest, I won't."

Lila averted her gaze the moment she entered the bath tub. After what happened, she slept for two hours. When she woke up Haruka was no longer beside her but she heard the sound of running water. Despite how nervous she was, she entered the bathroom. Lila dropped the towel only after she was safely in the tub though, giving Haruka no more chances to see her body. The bath was fairly s.p.a.cious and Haruka was on the other end, by the small steps while she stayed on the other side.

After a few moments though, Haruka called out to her, "Come here Lila."

Oh he used her name. Lila shyly made her way over and Haruka pulled her towards him. She sat with his back pressed against his chest.

"So, is your body alright?"

Lila turned her head and poured, "Don't ask that when your the one who did this to me?" she exclaimed.

A chuckle pa.s.sed his lips, "Sorry darling, but your too cute for me not to do anything," as he said these words he brought his face closer to hers. Her cheeks turned warm.

"Um, wait."

"Why?"

"Let me calm down."

Doesn't he know that it's bad for her heart when he suddenly gets close to her like that? Or is it because of his compliment? He called her cute. Normally when they have s.e.x he says some lewd things that she doesn't understand very well. He only compliments her then, so when things like this happen from time to time.

"The third round will happen shortly, and then we can go back. Do you really want to wait that long?" Haruka asked, as he moved his face away from hers.

"It's not a long time."

"It's still two weeks and a bit."

Practically half a month, can she really do that to Kiryu? What if things get worse? No, they definitely will. The more she delays this, the worse the situation will get.

"I want to go on a trip Haruka.."

"Just us two," Lila murmured softly. She wants to make some more memories with him. Just in case something were to happen.

He must have read her mind since he gently kissed her lips, "I don't want to think of what it's. You want to go on a trip to make memories, but I want you to enjoy yourself rather than do it out of obligation. Do you want to go or not?"

"I want to go with you."
